The Anaheim Ducks have called up Reto Berra.

No surprise there. John Gibson is sidelined, so Berra will serve as Ryan Miller's understudy.

The Arizona Coyotes have acquired Darcy Kuemper from the Los Angeles Kings.

The Kings are reportedly getting forward Tobias Reider and goalie Scott Wedgewood in the deal. Kuemper is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, but Coyotes beat reporter Craig Morgan is reporting that Arizona has inked him to an extension. Kuemper has been one of the better backups in the league this year, as he has a 10-1-3 record with a 2.10 goals-against-average and a .932 save percentage this season.

Darcy Kuemper signed a two-year, $3.7 million extension with the Arizona Coyotes.

That works out to an AAV of $1.85 million. The Coyotes just acquired Kuemper from the Los Angeles Kings. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent, but the extension was clearly part of the deal. Kuemper has a 10-1-3 record with a 2.10 goals-against-average and a .932 save percentage this season. He'll likely get a lot more starts now that he's in Arizona, but he won't be able to win as many games.

Nick Foligno (lower body) has been moved to the injured reserve list.

Foligno is expected to miss a week or two, so his move to the IR makes sense. It also corresponds with the Blue Jackets claiming Taylor Chorney off waivers.

Nathan Gerbe has been called up by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Gerbe has a goal and 10 points in 11 AHL games. The 30-year-old hasn't played in the NHL yet this season as he started the campaign in Switzerland, but he's a veteran of 394 NHL contests.

Columbus has claimed Taylor Chorney off waivers from Washington.

Chorney has a goal and four points in 24 games this season. The Blue Jackets have two injured defensemen in Dean Kukan and Markus Nutivaara while Jack Johnson has requested a trade, so they could use the defensive depth right now.

Markus Nutivaara (upper body) has been moved to the injured reserve list.

Nutivaara has missed the Blue Jackets last two games. He has three goals and 18 points in 51 contests in 2017-18.

Laurent Brossoit has been reassigned to the minors.

Brossoit was with the Oilers for a few days because backup goaltender Al Montoya was hurt. Brossoit has a 3.22 GAA and .886 save percentage in 13 games with Edmonton this season.

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired Scott Wedgewood from the Arizona Coyotes.

It's the second time Wedgewood has been traded this season. He was also moved from New Jersey to Arizona earlier this season. The 25-year-old has a 5-9-4 record with a 3.45 goals-against-average and a .893 save percentage. He'll serve as a backup goaltender to Jonathan Quick in LA, which means he won't have any fantasy value.

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired Tobias Rieder from the Arizona Coyotes.

The Kings also got goalie Scott Wedgewood in the package. Rieder is scheduled to become a restricted free agent at the end of this season. The 25-year-old has eight goals and 19 points in 58 games this season. This trade won't really give him much of a fantasy boost. The Coyotes will retain 15 percent of his remaining salary.

Charlie Lindgren has been called up on an emergency basis.

Carey Price wasn't able to practice on Wednesday after taking a puck off the mask on Tuesday. Lindgren has a 2.43 GAA and .924 save percentage in eight games with Montreal this season.

The Montreal Canadiens have promoted Noah Juulsen.

Juulsen has a goal and six points in 31 AHL games. The 20-year-old might make his NHL debut on Thursday.

Nick Lappin has been sent to the minors.

Lappin has a goal in six games with New Jersey this season. He also has 17 goals and 29 points in 42 contests in 2017-18.

Ryan Sproul has been sent to AHL Hartford.

Sproul has two assists in four games with the Rangers. At the AHL level, he has nine goals and 18 points in 36 contests.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have claimed Gabriel Dumont off waivers from Ottawa.

Dumont started the season with Tampa Bay, but the Lightning put him on waivers on Nov. 21 and he was claimed by Ottawa, so this is a return to his former team. He has a goal and an assist in 30 games this season.

Matthew Peca will report to AHL Syracuse.

Peca's demotion makes room for Gabriel Dumont, who the Lightning claimed off waivers. Peca has two goals and five points in 10 games with Tampa Bay this season.

Shea Theodore (illness) has been put on the injured reserve list.

Theodore was originally regarded as a game-time decision for Wednesday's game, but clearly he can be ruled out now. This will be his third straight game on the sidelines due to a throat infection.

Jon Merrill (undisclosed) has been taken off the injured reserve list.

Merrill is expected to return to Vegas' lineup on Wednesday. He'll likely be paired with Colin Miller.

The Washington Capitals have acquired Jakub Jerabek from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for a 2019 fifth-round pick.

Jerabek has a goal and four points in 25 games with the Canadiens this season. He doesn't have fantasy value, but he adds a little extra depth to the Capitals' defensive situation.

The Winnipeg Jets have assigned Tucker Poolman to the minors.

Poolman has been a healthy scratch in every game since Feb. 1. The blue liner has one goal and a plus-3 rating in 15 games this season. He'll get some important playing time in the minors.
