Cowboy declared LB Sean Lee, WR Brice Butler, DT Caraun Reid, TE Dalton Schultz, OG Xavier Su'a-Filo, LB Joe Thomas and QB Mike White inactive for Week 6 against the Jaguars.

Lee remains week-to-week with a hamstring injury. CB Chidobe Awuzie (ankle), DT Maliek Collins (knee), DE Randy Gregory (knee), CE Demarcus Lawrence (shoulder) and WR Deonte Thompson (hamstring) are all active despite drawing questionable tags earlier this week.
Oct 14 - 3:07 PM

Free agent Thomas Rawls visited the Jaguars.

Jacksonville is just doing some due diligence. With Corey Grant out, the Jaguars have Jamaal Charles, David Williams, and Bo Scarbrough behind T.J. Yeldon until Leonard Fournette returns.
Oct 13 - 2:35 PM

Free agent OT Ereck Flowers will visit the Jaguars on Thursday.

It's the first team connected to Flowers since he cleared waivers. Flowers has multiple visits lined up if he leaves Jacksonville without a deal. He shouldn't take long to resurface.
Oct 10 - 5:17 PM

Jaguars waived RB Brandon Wilds.

Wilds has been cut loose to make space for Jamaal Charles. Fantasy owners seeking a lifehack RB4/FLEX for Week 6 will need to look elsewhere.
Oct 9 - 2:09 PM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Jaguars will work out free agent RB Jamaal Charles.

Charles touched the ball just 92 times last season with the Broncos, and he did not draw much interest on the open market this offseason. He is nearing the end, but he could offer Jacksonville some veteran depth until Leonard Fournette returns. Jacksonville will also work out Charcandrick West.
Oct 9 - 9:34 AM

Free agent QB Landry Jones has worked out for the Bills, Cowboys, Jaguars and Lions.

Jones has been on the market for over a month now. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the former Steeler is expected to find a job soon. The 29-year-old isn't starting material but he's been a competent backup throughout his career.
Oct 7 - 8:45 AM

Free agent RB Orleans Darkwa worked out for the Jaguars on Tuesday.

Darkwa is one of the better free agent backs out there, but he has struggled for workouts. His Jacksonville visit could be an indication the Jags expect Leonard Fournette to miss multiple games with his latest hamstring pull.
Oct 2 - 5:35 PM

Free agent QB Paxton Lynch visited the Jaguars on Tuesday.

Lynch has been on quite the tour since he was cut by Denver. Lynch has now visited the Jags, Eagles, Lions, and Bills but he still needs a team to decide to carry three quarterbacks or fill in for an injured player. The Jaguars also had RB Jeremy Langford and WR Chad Hansen in for a visit.
Sep 25 - 6:08 PM

Jaguars waived/released WR DeAndre Smelter, WR Shane Wynn, DE Carroll Phillips, OT William Poehls, TE Ben Koyack, OL Tony Adams, CB Bryce Canady, RB Tim Cook, WR Montay Crockett, CB Dee Delaney, LB Nick DeLuca, DE Hunter Dimick, OL Michael Dunn, TE David Grinnage, LB Reggie Hunter, DE Darius Jackson, DL Lyndon Johnson, LB Deon King, WR Allen Lazard, Lee, OL KC McDermott, CB Quenton Meeks, CB Charlie Miller, WR Dorren Miller, LB Andrew Motuapuaka, CB Jalen Myrick, TE Scott Orndoff, CB C.J. TE DeAndre Goolsby, LB Manase Hungalu and TE Ben Koyack were waived/injured. CB Kenneth Acker was placed on injured reserve.
Sep 1 - 5:16 PM

Jaguars waived QB Tanner Lee.

Lee was the No. 203 overall pick of the draft. Lee literally looks like a quarterback, but struggled to play the part at Nebraska. The Jags will try to develop him on the practice squad.
Sep 1 - 11:51 AM

Jaguars released S Don Carey with an injury settlement.

This comes a week after Carey was placed on I.R. with a hamstring injury. Carey has been a helpful backup/special teamer throughout his career, though the 31-year-old is unlikely to resurface until he gets healthy.
Aug 28 - 7:56 PM

Former Dolphins tight end Julius Thomas announced his retirement from the NFL after six seasons.

Thomas, who was let go by the Dolphins in March, is retiring to pursue a doctorate in psychology. "I'm okay with not being recognized as an NFL athlete—because I'm more than that," wrote Thomas in an essay for The Players' Tribune. "I believe helping others is what I'm supposed to be doing at this point in my life." The 30-year-old had a magnificent two-year stretch with Denver early in his career, but was never the same after defecting to Jacksonville in free agency in 2015. The former Portland State basketball star totaled 226 catches, 2,406 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns over 67 career games for Denver, Jacksonville and Miami.
Aug 24 - 4:03 PM

The Jets reportedly contacted the Jaguars to gauge interest on a trade for DE Dante Fowler.

It's undisclosed whether the Jaguars showed interest in trading Fowler despite declining his 2019 team option in the offseason. Including the playoffs, he's racked up 14 sacks over the last two seasons. That type of pass-rushing pedigree is something the Jets have lacked recently, even leading coach Todd Bowles to say the team "doesn't have the name guy" just last week. Fowler remains suspended for the first game of this season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Aug 21 - 9:53 AM

Jaguars suspended DE Dante Fowler for one week of preseason activities for "fighting and violation of team rules."

Teammate Jalen Ramsey was simultaneously suspended for "violating team rules and conduct unbecoming of a Jaguars’ football player." Ramsey took to Twitter to defend Fowler and tweet his disdain towards the local media Sunday morning. Both will miss the next week of camp and Saturday's contest against the Vikings.
Aug 12 - 7:27 PM

The Jaguars suspended CB Jalen Ramsey for one week of preseason activities for "violating team rules and conduct unbecoming of a Jaguars’ football player."

Ramsey tweeted his disdain for the local media and how he believes they unfairly treated teammate Dante Fowler, stating "if y’all want war, we got sum for y’all" and "#LameAssReporters." It's clearly just a slap on the wrist from the club in hopes Ramsey sticks to football moving forward. He'll miss the next week of camp, including Saturday's contest versus the Vikings.
Aug 12 - 6:53 PM

Jaguars activated DE Dante Fowler from the active/PUP list.

Fowler will begin practicing immediately. He'll still be out for Jacksonville's opening-week game against the Giants for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Fowler will need as much playing time as possible in order to prove he's recovered from an undisclosed upper-body injury that kept him out of Jacksonville's offseason program. The club declined his fifth-year option back in May.
Aug 11 - 9:56 AM

Florida Football Insiders believes the Jaguars may have interest in retired RB DeMarco Murray.

Murray had interest from multiple teams as a backup this offseason. There's some doubt he's actually retiring, but the Jaguars don't have use for him with T.J. Yeldon and Corey Grant behind workhorse Leonard Fournette. It's possible Murray unretires if a preseason injury arises.
Jul 14 - 12:06 PM

Free agent WR DeAndre Smelter will participate in Jaguars minicamp on a tryout basis.

Smelter was a 2015 fourth-round pick by then-49ers GM Trent Baalke. The 6'2/227 ex-Georgia Tech wideout has mouthwatering traits but has never been able to stay healthy. He spent four months with the Colts earlier this offseason.
Jun 11 - 9:07 PM

Free agent RB Terrance West is visiting the Jaguars on Wednesday.

West is starting to make the rounds now that the draft has come and gone; he's visited the Eagles and Colts in the past week and now heads to Jacksonville. The Jaguars did nothing at running back this offseason after releasing Chris Ivory. They appear set with Leonard Fournette, Corey Grant, and T.J. Yeldon. It would appear difficult for West to crack that rotation on game days.
May 16 - 12:01 PM

Jaguars released P Brad Nortman.

Nortman has been the punter in Jacksonville for two seasons, but they were always expected to move on after drafting Logan Cooke in the seventh round. Nortman should be able to find work before camp.
