ESPN's Adam Schefter reports ex-Cardinals OC Mike McCoy is interviewing for the Jaguars' offensive coordinator vacancy.

McCoy has been fired during the season by two different organizations in the last two years. The Jaguars are not an enticing landing spot for an offensive coach, but they should be able to do better.
Jan 15 - 12:03 PM

Arizona Sports Station’s John Gambadoro reports the Cardinals interviewed John DeFilippo for their offensive coordinator vacancy on Sunday.

The ex-Vikings OC would likely be just a sounding board for new coach Kliff Kingsbury in Arizona. DeFilippo has also interviewed with the Jaguars, where he would almost certainly be given play-calling duties.
Jan 15 - 9:54 AM

Packers hired ex-Jaguars OC Nathaniel Hackett as offensive coordinator.

Hackett and new Packers coach Matt LaFleur have never worked together at any of their previous stops. But Hackett has plenty of experience as a play-caller and will be a nice addition for LaFleur to bounce ideas off of in his first year as head coach. Hackett was fired by the Jaguars back in November, but the Jags' issues ran much deeper than Hackett, who just the previous year got Blake Bortles to play the best ball of his career. Hackett, LaFleur, and DC Mike Pettine are in place.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Jaguars will interview Gary Kubiak for their offensive coordinator vacancy on Tuesday.

Kubiak is still technically under contract with the Broncos -- he has worked in their front office since stepping down as head coach in 2016 -- but Denver will reportedly let him walk for a coaching job. Kubiak is reportedly in Minnesota on Monday, but that would be an odd fit considering the Vikings already retained OC Kevin Stefanski. Jacksonville also interviewed ex-Vikings OC John DeFilippo for their coordinator opening.
Jan 14 - 10:54 AM

NJ.com's Mike Kaye reports the Jaguars interviewed ex-Vikings OC John DeFilippo for their vacant offensive coordinator position.

Once a fast riser in the coaching ranks, DeFilippo was fired in December after just 13 games running the Vikings' offense. Despite that disappointment, DeFilippo could be a good buy-low hire for a team which needs a major turnaround on the offensive side of the ball. That said, DeFilippo did not appear to be a good fit with Mike Zimmer's run-first attitude in Minnesota, making it questionable how comfortable he would be in Jacksonville.
Jan 14 - 10:22 AM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Jaguars are interested in interviewing Gary Kubiak for their vacant offensive-coordinator role.

Kubiak reportedly has a list of interested teams hot on his trail, but the Jaguars will be the first to bring him in upon parting ways with ex-OC Nathaniel Hackett recently. While the rest of his potential suitors are currently unclear, what has been made transparent is that Kubiak will be an OC for a franchise outside of Denver in 2019.
Jan 12 - 10:31 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports ex-Bucs OC Todd Monken will interview for the same job with the Browns.

According to RapSheet, Monken has also spoken with the Jaguars about their OC opening. Joining the Browns under a head coach who likely will continue to call plays would be an odd move for Monken, who shined as a play caller with the Bucs. The Jaguars opening makes more sense, but they have serious questions at quarterback.
Jan 10 - 11:22 AM

Former Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell is interviewing with the Jaguars for the same job.

Bevell also interviewed with the Falcons, but they are expected to hire Dirk Koetter, who was Atlanta's coordinator before moving to the Bucs. Bevell had some success in Seattle, but he would be an uninspiring hire.
Jan 8 - 9:33 AM

CBS' Jason La Canfora reports ex-Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell will interview for the Jaguars' offensive coordinator vacancy in addition to the Falcons'.

Retread like you've never retreaded before. Bevell has been connected to the Falcons' opening for weeks. The Jags would be a far less attractive job, but it sounds like Dirk Koetter could be the man in Atlanta.
Jan 1 - 6:00 PM

Jaguars waived TE Niles Paul.

He had been on the Jaguars' NFI list with a knee injury. Paul should catch on with a new team once healthy, though he's never been a big fantasy asset.

Jaguars waived SS Barry Church.

How the mighty have fallen. Church's 2018 campaign with Jacksonville consisted of bottling Gronk in Week 2, getting arrested in London after allegedly skipping on a $40,000 bar tab, and eventually getting benched in Week 12 for rookie S Ronnie Harrison. Church was in on 96% of defensive snaps prior to riding the pine. We expect him to find a suitor shortly given his veteran status.

Dolphins claimed CB Dee Delaney off waivers from the Jaguars.

Delaney hasn't recorded a stat in 2018 yet, despite playing two games with the Jaguars. The 2018 UDFA is an athletic, developmental player after starting only six games in his senior season at the University of Miami.

Jaguars fired OC Nathaniel Hackett.

Considering the history Hackett has with coach Doug Marrone -- the pair worked together at Syracuse, with the Bills, and then with the Jaguars -- this is a surprising decision which suggests Marrone himself is feeling considerable heat under his seat. Of course, the real issue on offense is at quarterback, where the Jaguars both failed to add a realistic starting option last spring and gave Blake Bortles a new contract which will make it painful to move on this offseason. Until they find a quarterback, this offense is going to struggle for consistency no matter the coach.

Jaguars waived QB Landry Jones.

Even with Blake Bortles' play declining further and further, the Jags don't want to carry three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. Or perhaps they are eyeing an upgrade for Jones. Cody Kessler holds Bortles' clipboard.

Former Jaguars OG Vince Manuwai died at the age of 38 years old on Sunday.

Manuwai was a third-round pick at No. 72 overall by the Jaguars in the 2003 draft and played all eight of his pro seasons in Jacksonville, starting 105 games. A power-blocking left guard, Manuwai is arguably the best player to ever come out of the University of Hawaii. He collapsed while moving his family into an apartment. Manuwai is survived by six children. Thoughts to his family.

Rams acquired DE Dante Fowler from the Jaguars in exchange for a 2019 third-round pick and 2020 fifth-round pick.

The Jets and Packers were also reportedly interest, which explains the steep price. The odd man out of the Jags' defensive end rotation, Fowler will provide instant help for Wade Phillips' defense in Los Angeles. The No. 3 overall pick of the 2015 draft has made just one career start, but that could quickly change. Fowler registered two sacks on 165 snaps in Jacksonville this season. It's a nice addition for L.A., but there is no guarantee it's a truly impact one. Fowler will be a free agent at season's end.
Tue, Oct 30, 2018 03:35:00 PM

Jaguars released RB Jamaal Charles.

Charles unsurprisingly showed nothing in two games with the Jags, who will move forward with Carlos Hyde and T.J. Yeldon until Leonard Fournette gets right.
Mon, Oct 22, 2018 05:09:00 PM

Cowboy declared LB Sean Lee, WR Brice Butler, DT Caraun Reid, TE Dalton Schultz, OG Xavier Su'a-Filo, LB Joe Thomas and QB Mike White inactive for Week 6 against the Jaguars.

Lee remains week-to-week with a hamstring injury. CB Chidobe Awuzie (ankle), DT Maliek Collins (knee), DE Randy Gregory (knee), CE Demarcus Lawrence (shoulder) and WR Deonte Thompson (hamstring) are all active despite drawing questionable tags earlier this week.

Free agent Thomas Rawls visited the Jaguars.

Jacksonville is just doing some due diligence. With Corey Grant out, the Jaguars have Jamaal Charles, David Williams, and Bo Scarbrough behind T.J. Yeldon until Leonard Fournette returns.
Sat, Oct 13, 2018 02:35:00 PM

Free agent OT Ereck Flowers will visit the Jaguars on Thursday.

It's the first team connected to Flowers since he cleared waivers. Flowers has multiple visits lined up if he leaves Jacksonville without a deal. He shouldn't take long to resurface.
