Saints declared LG Andrus Peat, TE Dan Arnold, C Will Clapp, DT Tyeler Davison, DE Trey Hendrickson, DL Mitchell Loewen and LB Manti Te'o inactive for Week 3 against the Falcons.

Peat is out with an ankle injury despite getting in a limited week of practice. Josh LiRebus is a candidate to fill in at left guard. OT Terron Armstead (knee) and Ted Ginn (knee) are both active for the visiting Saints.
Sep 23 - 11:50 AM

The Falcons are now down to 52 players as they prepare to do some more maneuvering. There are some recognizable names for hardcore football watchers, but no one notable.
Sep 1 - 11:39 AM

Falcons released OG Sean Harlow.

They also cut veteran Austin Pasztor. A 2017 fourth-rounder, Harlow was a rookie inactive that struggled with the move to guard after playing tackle in college. He should resurface as a development project.
Aug 31 - 4:33 PM

Falcons released OT Austin Pasztor.

The move saves $630,000 in cap space. Pasztor appeared in just seven games last year but has starting experience. He should draw free-agent interest.
Aug 31 - 4:26 PM

Falcons waived S Ron Parker.

He tweeted the news himself. Parker became expendable when the Falcons acquired Jordan Richards from New England on Friday. The 31-year-old registered 67 tackles, two forced fumbles and two interceptions over 1,032 defensive snaps for Kansas City last season. He shouldn't be on the market for long.
Aug 31 - 2:17 PM

Vikings claimed FB Luke McNitt off waivers from the Falcons.

McNitt was waived yesterday after the Falcons signed Jalston Fowler. C.J. Ham currently plays the position in Minnesota, but he averaged merely 1.9 YPC on seven rushing attempts last season. The two will likely compete for a single roster spot for the remainder of camp.
Aug 21 - 6:25 PM

Falcons waived FB Luke McNitt.

The Falcons no longer needed him after signing former Titans and Seahawks fullback Jalston Fowler. Atlanta also waived WR Taj Williams on Monday while taking a free-agent flyer on UDFA WR Julian Williams.
Aug 20 - 3:31 PM

Falcons WR Calvin Ridley suffered a hamstring injury Saturday.

The Falcons will receive an update on Ridley's injury tomorrow, though it initially appears to be minor. Falcons DE Takk McKinley also suffered a hamstring bruise Saturday. Ridley stands to run a majority of his routes opposite Julio Jones while Mohamed Sanu and Austin Hooper man the middle of the field this season.
Jul 28 - 12:16 PM

Falcons waived WR Devin Fuller.

Drafted as a seventh-round pick out of UCLA in 2016, Fuller never saw the field during his two years with Atlanta. He spent all of last year on injured reserve after tearing his ACL at training camp. The 24-year-old offers 4.37 speed and should be able to catch on elsewhere as a camp body, assuming his knee is at or near full strength.
Jun 29 - 4:24 PM

Titans signed WR Nick Williams, formerly of the Falcons.

Williams knows new OC Matt LaFleur from their time together with both the Redskins and Falcons. He'll compete for one of the very last 53-man jobs.
May 16 - 11:07 AM

Eagles signed LB LaRoy Reynolds.

S Dominick Sanders was waived in a corresponding roster move. Reynolds appeared in nine games for the Falcons last season after starting three in their Super Bowl campaign of 2016. He will have a tough time cracking the Eagles' deep 53-man roster.
May 15 - 5:24 PM

Redskins DB DeAngelo Hall retired after 14 seasons in the NFL.

The No. 8 overall pick of the 2004 draft, Hall was a Falcon for his first four seasons, earning Pro-Bowl nods in 2005 and 2006, and had a brief and ill-fated stay with the Raiders, but he will be remembered as a Redskin. Hall spent the final 10 seasons of his career in Washington, earning an additional Pro-Bowl honor in 2010 and recording 23 interceptions from 2008-13. Injuries limited Hall to just 22 games over his final four seasons, but he still put together a quality career. Hall is reportedly mulling TV and front office job offers.
May 14 - 11:51 AM

Luke McNitt and Daniel Marx are the leading candidates to start at fullback for the Falcons.

Falcons HC Dan Quinn said the team's starter would be decided after exhibition games. Derrick Coleman played fullback for Atlanta last season but received only two carries and was in on 22% of the team's offensive snaps. McNitt and Marx are both rookie free agent signings.
May 13 - 4:46 PM

Free agent DT Terrell McClain is visiting the Falcons on Friday.

McClain has been a hot option on the open market since his release from the Redskins following the draft. He's also visited the Cowboys, 49ers, and Dolphins. McClain turns 30 this summer and is merely a rotational piece inside.
May 11 - 10:29 AM

Free agent DB Will Blackmon has worked out for the Seahawks, Browns, Colts, and Falcons.

Released by Washington at final cuts last September, Blackmon spent the 2017 season out of the league. The 33-year-old was effective in 2016, however. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo expects him to land a job after the draft.
Apr 23 - 11:26 AM

NFL suspended free agent CB Jalen Collins for ten games.

Collins served a 10-game ban for PEDs last season, then got cut by the Falcons and was suspended four more games to close out the year. He's serving yet another suspension now. It's fair to wonder if Collins' career has run its course. Still only 25 years old, Collins was Atlanta's second-round pick in 2015.
Apr 9 - 4:39 PM

Lions signed TE Levine Toilolo, formerly of the Falcons, to a one-year contract.

Toilolo is a blocking tight end only and will handle the old role of Darren Fells from last season. Fells left Detroit for a three-year deal with the Browns.
Mar 28 - 2:08 PM

Falcons signed CB Justin Bethel, formerly of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract.

Bethel struggled mightily on defense last season but was a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro on special teams during his six-year run with the Cardinals. He'll serve as depth behind starters Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford.
Mar 24 - 9:19 AM

Jets signed WR Andre Roberts, formerly of the Falcons.

It's another receiver signing for the Jets, who inked a deal with ex-Redskin Terrelle Pryor earlier this week. Roberts only caught one pass for Atlanta last year but was one of the league's better kick returners, averaging 22.6 yards per attempt. He should be the Jets' primary return man in 2018.
Mar 23 - 2:36 PM

Free agent TE Logan Paulsen visited the Falcons.

It's the second visit of free agency for Paulsen after he met with Detroit. Paulsen played just 144 snaps for the 49ers last year but is one of the better blocking tight ends in the league.
