The Jazz remain interested in acquiring Nikola Mirotic, according to sources of Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Utah is reportedly hesitant to include a first-round pick for Mirotic, which is Chicago's asking price, but they remain interested and believe Mirotic could help their team. If a Utah-Chicago deal goes through for Mirotic, Derrick Favors would likely be involved, which wouldn't be great news for Bobby Portis. Stay tuned.

The Pistons have reportedly "ramped up their efforts" to move Stanley Johnson.

Johnson netted a career-high 26 points on Tuesday to go with 10 rebounds, four dimes, two steals, one triple and a block, so that should help his trade value. Detroit has reportedly been eying Rodney Hood, but it's not clear if Utah is interested in a Hood-Johnson swap. In terms of fantasy hoops, a move to Utah wouldn't be great for Johnson's rest-of-season outlook.
Jan 31 - 11:16 AM

The Jazz have reportedly expressed interest in Willy Hernangomez.

"I don't know what's going to happen," Hernangomez said. "The trade deadline is coming. Like I've said a couple times, I'm 23, I'm hungry. I want to play. Whatever happens, I'm ready for it. I feel good to know that I'm not even playing and a lot of teams are interested in me. That makes you happy, you can see that you did something good and somebody thinks you can be good in this league." Hernangomez hasn't been able to work his way into the rotation in New York, but that wouldn't necessarily change in Utah.
Jan 24 - 12:49 PM

Nikola Mirotic returned to action on Saturday with 16 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block, making 6-of-13 shots with four 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

Mirotic missed one game due to illness but looked fine vs. Detroit tonight. He's eligible to be traded on Monday and teams like the Pistons and Jazz have been mentioned as possible suitors -- for now, the Bulls are reportedly holding out for a first-round draft pick. Heat coach Fred Hoiberg referred to playing Mirotic and Lauri Markkanen together as "a fun lineup," so as long as he's with Chicago his role appears safe.
Jan 13 - 11:44 PM

The Pistons have reportedly expressed interest in Nikola Mirotic.

The Pistons and Jazz have now officially been named as teams that are looking to acquire the 26-year-old power forward, but the Bulls can't officially trade him until January 15. They're reportedly seeking a first-round selection in any Mirotic trade, but it is worth noting that a clause was put into Mirotic's contract this summer that gives him veto power in any trade. However, with Mirotic being the one that requested the trade in the first place, that veto thing might not end up being an issue.
Jan 9 - 5:10 PM

The Jazz are reportedly "willing to engage" with the Celtics involving a sign-and-trade for Gordon Hayward, assuming Hayward would agree to such a deal.

Boston has discussed deals involving Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder and/or Marcus Smart, according to recent reports, because they need to shed salaries to clear room for Hayward's max contract. It's unclear whether this sign-and-trade scenario has any momentum, especially since Boston should have numerous suitors for their talented young wing players.

According to James Johnson's agent, Mark Bartelstein, he and the Heat are "working on something."

Johnson is scheduled to meet with Heat president Pat Riley, but there's also reportedly mutual interest between him and the Jazz. Johnson hasn't ever secured a massive payday as a free agent, so his services will more than likely go to the highest bidder after he produced career numbers with the Heat this past season.

Milos Teodosic is rumored to be leaning towards signing with the Jazz as an unrestricted free agent this summer.

George Hill will also hit free agency this offseason, but Utah might be able to get Teodosic for slightly cheaper, and Hill's injury-riddled 2016-17 campaign definitely makes him a risky investment. Prior to the draft we heard rumors that the Bulls were interested in Teodosic, but with them trading away Jimmy Butler, that's probably no longer the case.

With the 30th and final first-round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers have selected SG Josh Hart.

The Lakers acquired the 30th and 42nd picks from Utah in exchange for No. 28 overall. Villanova’s run to the title in 2016 headlines Hart’s career. While the senior didn’t get a title in 2017, he performed well regarding his stats with 18.7 points, 6.4 boards, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.1 treys on an impressive 61.9 true shooting percentage to get him First Team All-American Honors. He is a little undersized as a shooting guard at 6’6" and 204 pounds, but don’t be surprised to see Hart push for minutes in a currently thin Lakers backcourt.

The Jazz remain in talks for Patrick Beverley and are also in talks for a different point guard, according to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

This report adds the Jazz are looking for another point guard. While Beverley is believed to be on the block, the Rockets are not going to deal him unless they feel confident they can replace him or they're getting assets back in return. The Jazz remain one of the wild cards in this draft for a litany of reasons.

The Jazz have made a trade inquiry on Patrick Beverley, according to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Sam Amick of USA Today adds that there are eight teams in the mix to get Mr. 94 Feet. The Rockets have high hopes this offseason as they'll look to clear out as much cap space as they can to go after players like Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Paul George and others. Beverley clearly showed he's a capable starter and he'd compete with just about any other starting unit because he can play both guard spots. As for the Jazz, they have a lot of cap space now, but that could change on July 1.

T.J. Leaf had a solo workout for the Jazz on Sunday.

Leaf is an intriguing prospect as a 6'10" four-man with 3-point range, although there are some concerns about whether or not he'll be able to hold his own on the defensive end at the NBA level. He also needs to gain some muscle mass, but that shouldn't be much of a problem considering he's only 20 years old. Leaf is expected to come off the board in the 20s, so he could be an option for Utah.

Jawun Evans reportedly has workouts scheduled with Portland, Oklahoma City and Utah.

Evans put in averages of 19.0 points, 6.5 dimes, 1.1 triples, 1.7 steals and 2.8 turnovers during his sophomore season at Oklahoma State, and while he is a bit undersized and lacks explosive athleticism, he's able to make up for that with his strength, solid footwork and a high basketball IQ. He's particularly adept at running the pick-and-roll, and he's currently projected to come off the board in the 30-range.

Semi Ojeleye will work out for the Jazz on Wednesday.

Ojeleye is an uber-athletic forward who put in averages of 19.0 points, 6.9 boards, 2.1 triples and 1.5 assists per game during his junior year at SMU. He's got a nice jumper and is capable of creating his own shot in the halfcourt, but at just 6'7" with a 6'10" wingspan, he is a bit undersized at the power forward position. He's currently projected to be a late first-round pick, which is right in Utah's range.

The Jazz denied a report of a first-round guarantee given to D.J. Wilson.

There is really only one answer for the Jazz here, so this doesn't mean too much. The original report from the Detroit News said they've heard the Jazz gave Wilson a first-round promise. The Jazz have the 30th pick from a salary dump with the Warriors a few years ago to go with their No. 24 pick. Wilson wasn't 100 percent sure earlier this year and may have wanted to come back for his senior year. He brings a little bit of everything with 1.1 treys made per game to go with his 83.3 percent from the line as a shooter, and he did block 1.5 shots per game in his third year at Michigan.

Blake Griffin shot 6-of-11 from the field to score 17 points on Sunday, adding six rebounds, four assists, one steal and a pair of 3-pointers.

Griffin did his damage in 32 minutes and the shooting was a welcome sight -- in his past three games he was a combined 17-of-48 from the field (35.4 percent). The Clippers struggled to find him down the stretch, however, as their offense sputtered and they gave up a double-digit lead, resulting in a crushing loss that leaves them a full game behind the No. 4 seed Jazz in the standings.

Clint Capela double-doubled vs. Utah on Wednesday with 19 points, 12 rebounds and two assists, going 9-of-13 from the field but just 1-of-6 from the line.

Capela did his damage in 32 minutes and it's all owners could have asked for in a brutal matchup vs. Rudy Gobert and the Jazz frontcourt. He came in having made 15-of-19 freebies in his previous five games and a letdown was inevitable, considering he's at just 54.8 percent on the season (42.8 percent for his career). If you can live with that caveat, he's a reliable mid-round fantasy center.

Andrew Bogut has reportedly reached a buyout agreement with the 76ers.

The Cavs are rumored to be the frontrunners to land Bogut, but the Spurs, Rockets, Celtics and Jazz have also been mentioned as teams that will pursue Bogut's services. He won't have any fantasy value with any of those teams, so he's safe to leave on the waiver wire just about everywhere.

Marcin Gortat finished Sunday's home loss with six points on 3-of-9 shooting, eight rebounds and two steals in 28 minutes.

Rudy Gobert will have that effect on opposing centers -- Utah is limiting opposing Cs to the fewest rebounds and assists, third-fewest points, fifth-fewest blocks, and sixth-fewest steals. That's worth remembering the next time a player is facing Utah in DFS, but Gortat's owners can expect a bounce-back effort on Tuesday vs. the Warriors.

The Hornets are reportedly "aggressively pursuing" Lou Williams.

The Hornets are lacking a real scoring punch off the bench, so it'll be interesting to see if Magic Johnson's first trade as the Lakers' President of Basketball Operations ends up being with a team owned by Michael Jordan. Williams wouldn't have much trouble finding quality minutes in Charlotte, so his value would be relatively safe there. Thus far, Williams has been linked to the Hornets, Wizards, Jazz, Rockets and Pelicans, and it seems likely that he'll be dealt at the deadline.
