The Kings brought in Jarell Eddie for a workout this weekend and are considering signing him.

Eddie could bring some extra depth to the three-spot in Sacramento, but he'll be irrelevant in fantasy hoops.

Jimmy Butler has reportedly informed Minnesota management that his preferred destination would be to go to Miami.

The Timberwolves are under no obligation to honor this request, but it's been widely reported that the Heat have been very aggressive throughout the process, and Butler could be the piece that takes Miami to the next level. They'd need to get a third team involved to make the numbers work, but Sacramento has made it known that they'd be willing to take on a few bad contracts if they can secure a future first-rounder. Things are heating up.

The Kings are reportedly interested in acquiring Gorgui Dieng to help facilitate the Jimmy Butler deal.

The Timberwolves have been rather adamant about including Dieng and the three years and $48 million left on his contract in any Jimmy Butler deal, and the Kings have made it known to Minnesota and their suitors that they'd be happy to take on a few bloated contracts in exchange for a future first-rounder. Sacramento also is holding the expiring deals of Zach Randolph, Iman Shumpert and Kosta Koufos, so they're uniquely positioned to help facilitate a blockbuster trade involving Butler.

Marvin Bagley is "infatuated" with going as high as possible in the 2018 draft, according to ESPN draft analyst Mike Schmitz.

Jonathan Givony's most recent mock draft has Bagley going No. 2 overall, and Schmitz described the Bagley-Sacramento fit as a "match made in heaven" on The Woj Pod. In recent years the Kings have struggled to get guys to come in for workouts, but they had no such issues with bringing in Bagley, and that reportedly endeared him to management. Bagley wants to be a 20-10 guy his rookie year, and he'd have a great chance of realizing that goal in Sacramento.

Luka Doncic put up 14 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two blocks in Tuesday's 92-83 win over Gran Canaria.

Doncic really put his playmaking skills on display in this one, and interestingly, Kings' GM Vlade Divac and owner Vivek Ranadine were in attendance. There have been rumors that the Kings were looking to pass on Doncic, but perhaps he put the odds in his favor of going No. 2 overall in the 2018 draft after Tuesday's solid outing. Either way, he's a lock to go within the top-5 on draft day and he has the skills to be fantasy-relevant during his rookie season.

Nikola Jokic was ejected in the second quarter of Sunday's game, finishing with six points, six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 12 minutes.

In a wild sequence, Jokic and Nuggets coach Mike Malone were both ejected for yelling at the refs -- Malone may have been trying to get tossed, but Jokic's ejection did not seem deserved. Whether or not the league rescinds a technical foul, it's safe to assume that Jokic will be ready to go vs. Sacramento on Monday.
