Brandon Rush is scheduled for a workout with the 76ers.

The 76ers are in need of some shooters, and Rush could fit that bill. They'll likely be bringing in a few players for workouts, but it's unlikely whoever they sign will be relevant in fantasy hoops this season.
Nov 14 - 12:35 PM

The 76ers have reportedly expressed interest in Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

"[The 76ers] depth is depleted. They need to add shooting, I had in my article on Saturday that they still retain interest in Cavs wing Kyle Korver," said Kevin O'Connor, "I’ve since heard that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope on the Lakers is a guy that they could have eyes for." Philly's preference would be to bring in Korver, as he's more consistent, but any shooter will do. KCP's value has dried up in Los Angeles, but he could return to relevance with the 76ers.
Nov 14 - 9:11 AM

The aggregate restriction for Marquese Chriss and Brandon Knight has been lifted and both players can now be traded.

The Rockets are reportedly offering Chriss, Knight and four future first-round picks in a package for Jimmy Butler, but Minnesota management doesn't appear to be all that interested in such a deal. The Wolves would like to remain competitive after trading Butler, and they're also reluctant to trade him to a Westcoast rival, so it'll be tough for Houston to pull this off. Right now, Miami seems like a frontrunner, but Philadelphia could also put together an intriguing package should they jump into the race.
Oct 31 - 10:48 AM

There is "mutual interest" between Jamal Crawford and the Celtics, according to sources of Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

The Lakers, 76ers and Warriors have also reached out to Crawford, but he's made it clear that fit will be the most important factor when choosing his next team. He seemed less than satisfied with his 20-minute role off the bench in Minnesota last season, but it's tough to see him playing much more than that on a nightly basis at 38 years old. He can still help an NBA team, but he's not very useful in fantasy hoops.
Sep 17 - 6:29 PM

The Nuggets have traded Wilson Chandler and a draft consideration to the 76ers.

Denver's "draft consideration" will be a 2021 second-round pick and the rights to swap second-rounder in 2022, and Denver getting Chandler's $12.8 million off the books will give them the space to sign Will Barton to his extension. The 76ers could use a two-way, wing player like Chandler, but on such a deep team, it would be tough for him to make much noise in fantasy hoops. His departure from Denver should result in more opportunity for Barton and Juan Hernangomez.
Jul 3 - 4:19 PM

The Timberwolves, Lakers, Knicks, Pacers and 76ers have all expressed interest in Lance Stephenson.

The Pacers declined to pick up their team option on Born Ready for the 2018-19 season, making him an unrestricted free agent this summer, but it seems they aren't opposed to a reunion. Stephenson's contract situation likely won't work itself out until some of the bigger free agent names come off the board, but it's unlikely he'll be much of a factor in fantasy hoops, regardless of where he winds up.
Jul 1 - 3:20 PM

LeBron James and Magic Johnson did not have dinner together after free agency began at 9:00 PDT on Saturday night, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Outside of knowing that LeBron was in Los Angeles and that Magic Johnson was at the Los Angeles Convention Center Saturday afternoon, we don't have any more detail available regarding their connection. James only had a phone call with the Cavs last night and he is not expected to meet with the 76ers today -- Rich Paul is meeting with Philly. LeBron Watch continues.
Jul 1 - 2:24 PM

According to ESPN's Ian Begley, there are several people in the Sixers organization that are confident Kawhi Leonard would strongly consider re-signing there next summer if they traded for him.

It's assumed the Sixers are hesitant to offer a king's ransom to the Spurs in exchange for Kawhi because they are worried it would be just a one-year rental. If they had assurances that Leonard was willing to commit long-term, they would likely increase their offer significantly. This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on.
Jul 1 - 1:25 PM

The 76ers still believe they have a real chance to win the Kawhi Leonard trade sweepstakes, and plan to use it as a top selling point in talks with LeBron James' agent Rich Paul, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.

The 76ers are a darkhorse on LeBron, but they do have a lot of assets to put together an offer on Leonard. We've seen things like picks, Robert Covington and Dario Saric thrown around, and maybe the 76ers up their offer, too. Somewhat surprisingly, we still haven't add a trade yet.
Jul 1 - 12:23 PM

The 76ers and Timberwolves are showing interest in restricted free agent Jabari Bird.

He was barely in the rotation, but Bird showed he can defend already at the NBA level. If he can add a 3-pointer, maybe Bird can find himself in an NBA rotation. The Celtics likely won't be able to offer more than the minimum.
Jul 1 - 1:53 AM

Pressure is reportedly mounting on the Lakers to acquire Kawhi Leonard ahead of free agency.

LeBron James reportedly would like to make his free agency decision quickly, meaning there's some added pressure on the Lakers to bring in Leonard in order to entice LBJ to sign with the Los Angeles franchise. However, the Lakers first conversation with Spurs management did not get very far, and San Antonio appears to be in no rush to get a deal done. Leonard could steer his way towards Los Angeles if he can convince opposing NBA teams that his only interest is to sign with the Lakers in 2019, but right now, the Celtics, Clippers and 76ers all remain interested in Kawhi.

Kevin Knox is scheduled for a solo workout with the 76ers.

Knox has really boosted his stock with recent workouts, and this will actually be his second workout for Philly. Zhaire Smith will also be making his second appearance at the 76ers facilities for a group workout on Tuesday, so it would appear Philadelphia is looking to add an athletic, 3-and-D type wing player on draft day. Knox is expected to go somewhere within the Nos. 7-11 range.
Jun 18 - 5:32 PM

Mikal Bridges believes he'd be a "perfect fit" with the 76ers.

If Bridges is still available when Philly comes on the board with the No. 10 overall selection on draft day, they could certainly look his way. "He’s got the ability to put it on the deck, create not only for himself but for others, as well," said 76ers' VP of player personnel Marc Eversley, also praising his athleticism. Bridges would fill a need in Philly as a lockdown defender on the wing who can hit the 3-ball, but that wouldn't necessarily be the best spot for him in terms of fantasy hoops.
Jun 13 - 12:07 PM

The Lakers, Celtics and 76ers are all interested in Kawhi Leonard.

While those teams may be interested, the Spurs, to this point, have shown no interest in trading away their franchise player. Adrian Wojnarowski reports that San Antonio turned down a trade offer from Boston for Leonard ahead of the February trade deadline this past season, and never countered, so it looks like they're going to do everything they can to try and rebuild this relationship after a contemptuous 2017-18 season.

LeBron James is expected to speak with the Heat, Lakers, Cavs, 76ers and Spurs during free agency.

Chris Paul is a big factor here, as he's very close with LeBron James and was quoted saying he was already recruiting LBJ once the Rockets got bounced out of the Western Conference Finals. Daryl Morey would need to move around some contracts to make the numbers work, but it wouldn't be impossible for him to add James to the core of James Harden, CP3 and Clint Capela. James could also partner up with Paul in Los Angeles, or he could go to San Antonio to play under a coach he's openly admired.
Jun 10 - 5:27 PM

Lonnie Walker is scheduled to work out for the 76ers on Monday.

Miles Bridges will also be in attendance at Monday's workout, and both these guys could be options for the 76ers when they come on the board with their No. 10 overall selection. Walker is an explosive athlete who is excellent at working off the ball, but he can be streaky on the offensive end and needs to improve as a ball handler. Bridges, at 6-foot-9 is a bit undersized at the four-spot, but he makes up for that with his raw athleticism and he's also got a nice 3-point stroke.
Jun 10 - 4:17 PM

Grayson Allen worked out for the 76ers on Wednesday.

Allen put in averages of 15.5 points, 4.6 dimes, 2.8 triples and 1.7 steals per game in his senior season with Duke, and the 76ers could look to him with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft. Interestingly, Brian Colangelo was in attendance at Wednesday's workout, so maybe the 76ers front office has decided to stick with him despite Burner-gate.
Jun 6 - 1:39 PM

Mikal Bridges is scheduled for workouts with the Knicks and 76ers.

Bridges has already had workouts with the Hornets and Bulls, but it'll be interesting to see how his workout in New York goes with early reporting indicating that the Knicks are already high on him. Bridges put in averages of 17.7 points, 5.3 boards, 1.9 dimes, 2.6 treys, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game in his final season with Villanova, so New York would be a good potential landing spot for him in terms of fantasy hoops.
Jun 4 - 6:03 PM

Monty Williams is in discussions with Sixers coach Brett Brown about the team's top assistant coach position, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Williams is working for Spurs front office but he's reportedly been "eager" to return to coaching -- he served as New Orleans' head coach from 2011-15. Philly lost assistant Lloyd Pierce when he was offered the Hawks' coaching job, so it makes sense that they're interested in Williams and his defense-first mentality.
May 30 - 9:14 PM

The Hawks have finalized Ersan Ilyasova's buyout.

Ilyasova is expected to head to Philly once he clears waivers, where he'll add depth to the frontcourt but won't play much. With Ilyasova no longer in Atlanta, John Collins should start the rest of the way, making him a must-own guy in most leagues.
