Dante Cunningham has agreed to re-sign with the Pelicans on a one-year deal worth $2.3 million, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

The Timberwolves were reportedly aggressively pursuing Cunningham, but he probably has a better chance of being a regular part of the rotation in New Orleans, so that may have influenced his decision process. Cunningham could potentially start at the three-spot for the Pelicans with Solomon Hill (hamstring) essentially done for the year, but even as a starter, Cunningham won't be a fantasy factor in most leagues.

The Timberwolves are reportedly putting the "full-court press" on their recruiting efforts towards Dante Cunningham.

The Wolves have an open roster spot and they're clearly high on Cunningham, but they also can only offer the minimum and he wouldn't be in a great spot for minutes as he'd be competing for playing time with the likes of Taj Gibson, Nemanja Bjelica and Shabazz Muhammad. The Pelicans and Bucks are also rumored to have interest in Cunningham, but he won't be a fantasy factor on any of these teams.

The Bucks and Timberwolves are reportedly interested in signing unrestricted free agent Jason Terry.

The Bucks would like to bring back the 40-year-old veteran for another season, but they've received some competition from the Timberwolves. Terry is currently in Minnesota for a workout and meeting with Tom Thibodeau, but none of the reporting suggests a deal is imminent. Either way, JET is well past his days of being a relevant name in fantasy hoops.

Anthony Morrow is scheduled for a workout with the Timberwolves this week.

The Wolves still have a few roster spots open and they're looking to add a veteran wing, so the 31-year-old sharpshooter would make sense for Minnesota given their lack of 3-point scorers. He wouldn't have much value at all in fantasy hoops, though, as he'd be more of an end-of-the-bench guy under Tom Thibodeau.

The Pelicans and Timberwolves have reportedly engaged in a bidding war over unrestricted free agent Dante Cunningham.

Cunningham has spent the past three seasons in New Orleans and the Pelicans would like to re-sign him, but apparently, Tom Thibodeau is trying to lure him away from Louisiana. In terms of fantasy hoops, it really won't matter where he winds up, as he won't be a significant part of the rotation at either location.

The Wolves have interest in Ian Clark, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN.

This report adds that Clark has turned down minimum offers. A report from Tuesday said that the Lakers aren't in for Clark anymore, which would've made a ton of sense with his former coach Luke Walton. Clark is arguably the best point guard on the market and he would be a fantastic fit as a backup with the Wolves for his shooting.

Kyrie Irving has reportedly been irked by the Cavs giving preferential treatment to LeBron James.

In addition to no longer wanting to live under the immense shadow of King James, Irving has reportedly at times been perturbed with how the franchise treats him and LBJ differently, such as allowing James to have friends travel with him on the team plane without awarding Irving the same luxuries. He was also particularly upset when he learned that his name had been included in trade talks for Paul George and Jimmy Butler this summer, and at this point, it looks as though this is a bridge that cannot be mended.

The Timberwolves have reportedly made a contract offer to unrestricted free agent Nick Young.

The Wolves have now been linked to C.J. Miles and Nick Young, so it's clear that they're looking to bring in some perimeter shooting. Young could step into a sixth man role in Minnesota, although it's unlikely he'd earn enough minutes with the Wolves to move the needle in standard fantasy leagues.

Minnesota is reportedly interested in pursuing a sign-and-trade deal for C.J. Miles.

The reported sign-and-trade deal would involve Indiana acquiring Cole Aldrich and a 2018 pick from OKC in exchange for Miles, so it'll be interesting to see what becomes of this report. This is the second report we've had regarding the Timberwolves pursuing a deal for Miles, so there does indeed appear to be interest there.

Rudy Gay's preference would be to sign with the Thunder, but there's a "sizeable gap" on what Oklahoma City can offer and what Gay is looking for, according to sources of Royce Young of ESPN.

The Thunder still need to try and work out a deal for restricted free agent Andre Roberson, but if Roberson's price gets too high, that could make bringing in Gay an extremely difficult endeavor. Gay has also been linked to the Timberwolves, Kings and Spurs, but him re-upping with Sacramento seems incredibly unlikely considering he opted out of his contract with the club worth $14.3 million despite the fact that he's currently recovering from a ruptured Achilles.

The Timberwolves are reportedly interested in unrestricted free agent Gerald Green.

Green has publicly stated that his preference would be to remain in Boston, but we haven't seen any traction there just yet. He shouldn't have much trouble finding his next contract, but it's unlikely that Green will wind up in a situation where he's able to earn enough minutes to make a difference in fantasy hoops.

The Timberwolves, Warriors, Thunder and Pelicans are all reportedly interested in unrestricted free agent Nick Young.

In terms of fantasy hoops, Young's best opportunity to produce would be in New Orleans, but the Warriors present Swaggy P with the best opportunity to chase a ring, which is reportedly something that is important to him. It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out, but we likely won't see a team make a move on Young until some of the bigger name two-guards come off the board.

Thomas Robinson is getting interest from the Wolves, according to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype.

The reported interest has also been confirmed from Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News. Robinson hasn't quite lived up to the billing as the No. 4 pick going to Sacramento, but he can provide energy as a rebounder and as a roll man. Truck probably wouldn't be in the rotation with the Wolves.

The Wolves "may be out" on talks for Paul Millsap, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge.

In case you missed it a few moments ago, the Suns are out, so that may put the Nuggets in the catbird seat for now. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that owner Josh Kroenke, president Tim Connelly, coach Mike Malone and Gary Harris will be in Atlanta to pitch Millsap -- Gary Harris really does do everything. There's always some concern of a mystery team, but it may be a two-horse race with the Hawks and Nuggets. Millsap would obviously be a great fit next to Nikola Jokic. Another positive here is the lack of competition could help the Nuggets keep the years down or not have to go all the way to max.

The Suns are out on the Paul Millsap pursuit, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

Sam Amick of USA Today adds Millsap is still expected to meet with Denver tonight. Woj notes that the Suns are going to keep their cap space open and hope to take on salary to go with some young assets or picks -- this is the move Sam Hinkie used to get picks from the Kings a few years ago. With the Suns out, that leaves the Wolves, Nuggets and Hawks as the frontrunners for the 2017 All-Star. The Wolves would likely have to make some moves to fit Sapper in the cap.

According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, Paul Millsap has a meeting scheduled with the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reported on Friday that the Wolves and Nuggets were considered the frontrunners to land Millsap. If Minnesota were able to sign Millsap, they would boast a supremely impressive starting five, featuring Jeff Teague, Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins, Paul Millsap and Karl-Anthony Towns. Unfortunately, Millsap's fantasy value would take a big hit if he moved from Atlanta to Minnesota.

Ty Lawson has fielded calls from multiple teams, including the Timberwolves, Kings, Thunder and Pelicans.

Lawson may have to wait until the remaining top-tier point guards find homes before he inks a new deal. He has had some issues off the floor, but Lawson served as a solid backup last season in Sacramento, where he averaged 9.9 points, 4.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 25.1 minutes.

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, the Nuggets and Wolves are the frontrunners to sign free agent All-Star Paul Millsap.

Another All-Star could be headed West, as the Kings and Suns are reportedly in the mix as well. The Hawks initially said that their top priority was to bring Millsap back to Atlanta, but now it sounds like they won't be able to meet his asking price. In terms of fantasy value, Minnesota would be the toughest spot for Millsap to produce early-round numbers.

The Wolves are also interested in J.J. Redick, according to the AP's Jon Krawczynski.

So far we've heard the Rockes, Nets and Sixers linked to Redick, so Minnesota would represent a fourth team entering the mix. It sure would make a whole lot more sense for the Wolves to prioritize the point guard position, and given all the smoke that's come from that flame today, we're not clinging too tightly to this one.
Fri, Jun 30, 2017 08:29:00 PM

ESPN 1500's Darren Wolfson lists the Timberwolves, Raptors, Nuggets, Kings, Sixers and Clippers as teams expected to pursue P.J. Tucker in free agency.

We've now heard multiple reports linking Tucker to the Clippers, and that's not a surprise given their issues at the small forward position. As for the other landing spots mentioned, all would make varying levels of sense, but ultimately it's likely going to come down to dollars and cents for a player who finally has a chance to cash in on his value.
