The aggregate restriction for Marquese Chriss and Brandon Knight has been lifted and both players can now be traded.

The Rockets are reportedly offering Chriss, Knight and four future first-round picks in a package for Jimmy Butler, but Minnesota management doesn't appear to be all that interested in such a deal. The Wolves would like to remain competitive after trading Butler, and they're also reluctant to trade him to a Westcoast rival, so it'll be tough for Houston to pull this off. Right now, Miami seems like a frontrunner, but Philadelphia could also put together an intriguing package should they jump into the race.

The Suns are reportedly interested in Jeff Teague and Tyus Jones.

They're still looking for a starting point guard, and if Goran Dragic is included in part of the Jimmy Butler trade, that would make one of the other Minnesota point guards expendable. Pheonix is willing to be the third team here to help facilitate a deal if they can nab a starting PG, and Sacramento is also willing to get involved if they can sneak a first-rounder. Teague or Jones in Phoenix would be fantasy gold.

According to a source close to Josh Richardson, there has been "no indication" from the Miami front office that he'll be included in a deal for Jimmy Butler.

Richardson may be the most attractive asset on Miami's roster, but their reluctance to trade him is likely why we haven't seen a deal go down yet. You have to give up something to get a player of Jimmy Butler's caliber, but so far, the Heat aren't budging on Richardson. It's no secret Miami has been shopping Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic, but neither of those guys would make much sense in Minnesota.

The Timberwolves will not pursue Joakim Noah should be become available, according to sources of Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Noah still has two years and roughly $37.8 million left on his horrendous contract, and word is that New York management is strongly considering using the waive-and-stretch provision to get him off the books. However, despite Tom Thibodeau's infatuation with the past, apparently, he's sane enough to not be interested in a washed up, 33-year-old center.
Sep 12 - 12:31 PM

Monta Ellis, Brandon Rush and Brandon Paul are scheduled for workouts with the Timberwolves.

The Wolves have an open roster spot, so they may add another vet, although that would put them in the luxury tax. There are no guarantees any of these guys will sign after a workout.
Sep 10 - 6:24 PM

The Timberwolves are reportedly actively pursuing free agent Luol Deng.

Of course they are. Deng made a few All-Star teams back in 2011 and 2012 running in Tom Thibodeau's system, and the two sides are expected to meet within the next week to discuss a potential deal. Deng probably wouldn't see much more than 25 minutes a night in Minnesota, which wouldn't be enough time for him to make a meaningful impact in fantasy hoops. We're not expecting much from the 33-year-old forward this season.
Sep 5 - 12:40 PM

Nick Young, Arron Afflalo and Corey Brewer are scheduled for workouts with the Timberwolves.

It looks like the Timberwolves would like to add another wing on the cheap as they currently have very little depth behind Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins. Tom Thibodeau doesn't often go very deep into his bench, though, so it's not like the guy they sign will be relevant in fantasy hoops.
Sep 5 - 10:46 AM

Treveon Graham went in for a workout with the Cavaliers on Monday.

Graham is an unrestricted free agent and he's received "strong interest" from both Cleveland and Minnesota. He's a solid 3-and-D wing, but he's not the type of player that will make a meaningful impact in fantasy hoops next season.
Jul 9 - 2:34 PM

Free agent Treveon Graham is reportedly drawing interest from the Wolves, Pistons and Wizards.

Graham became an unrestricted FA when the Hornets declined to make a qualifying offer. He has roots in D.C. and could be an affordable addition for the cap-crunched Wizards, but won't have fantasy value no matter where he signs.
Jul 1 - 9:19 PM

The Rockets have reportedly scheduled a meeting with James Nunnally.

Nunnally has spent the past two years in Europe, but he's been garnering interest on the open market this summer, with reports of him also recently going through a workout with Portland and Minnesota. He wasn't all that impressive during his first NBA stint back in 2013, so he'd need to impress us at Summer League in order to put himself on the radar in fantasy hoops.
Jul 1 - 5:20 PM

The Wolves are pursuing FA Dante Cunningham, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Cunningham is "weighing his options" which suggests more teams are interested, but Minnesota is the only team explicitly mentioned. He'll likely add depth to a contender's bench without offering any fantasy value.
Jul 1 - 3:57 PM

The Timberwolves, Lakers, Knicks, Pacers and 76ers have all expressed interest in Lance Stephenson.

The Pacers declined to pick up their team option on Born Ready for the 2018-19 season, making him an unrestricted free agent this summer, but it seems they aren't opposed to a reunion. Stephenson's contract situation likely won't work itself out until some of the bigger free agent names come off the board, but it's unlikely he'll be much of a factor in fantasy hoops, regardless of where he winds up.
Jul 1 - 3:20 PM

The Timberwolves, Jazz, Spurs, Rockets, Pelicans and Knicks have all expressed interest in unrestricted free agent Trevor Booker.

Booker is a quality backup big man who could help any one of these teams with some frontcourt depth, but he'll be a non-factor in fantasy hoops next season.
Jul 1 - 2:39 PM

The 76ers and Timberwolves are showing interest in restricted free agent Jabari Bird.

He was barely in the rotation, but Bird showed he can defend already at the NBA level. If he can add a 3-pointer, maybe Bird can find himself in an NBA rotation. The Celtics likely won't be able to offer more than the minimum.
Jul 1 - 1:53 AM

Free agent Amir Johnson has reportedly been contacted by the Lakers, Clippers and Wolves.

The 31-year-old will bring steady depth to whichever team's frontcourt he joins this summer, but he's not a fantasy asset no matter where he lands. For what it's worth, the Sixers have reportedly shown interest in big man Kyle O'Quinn, which suggests they're ready to move on from Johnson.
