The Clippers are reportedly finalizing a deal that will send Sam Dekker to the Cavs.

The Clippers will be sending away Dekker in order to open up a roster spot, so there might not be another player coming back to Los Angeles. Dekker will have a better opportunity for minutes in Cleveland with their being a massive hole to fill at the three in the wake of LeBron James' departure, but it's unlikely he'll make much noise in fantasy hoops.
Aug 5 - 3:30 PM

Doc Rivers and Lawrence Frank reportedly sat down for dinner with Kyle O'Quinn on Tuesday night.

KOQ is ready to leave New York and it looks like the Clippers are interested in landing his services. In Los Angeles, O'Quinn would be competing for minutes with Marcin Gortat and Boban Marjanovic, so this wouldn't be a great landing spot for him in terms of fantasy hoops.
Jul 4 - 10:05 AM

The Clippers have contacted free agent Kevon Looney, according to Brad Turner of the L.A. Times.

Turner adds that there's "no deal imminent" and the Clippers have already struck out on a few potential FA targets -- ultimately, showing interest doesn't mean much. The Warriors also contacted Looney soon after free agency opened, and the departure of JaVale McGee could make them even more eager to retain him.
Jul 1 - 11:50 PM

Clippers executives have reportedly flown to Dallas to meet with free agent Anthony Tolliver.

Previous reports suggested that a minimum of five teams are interested in Tolliver, and L.A. sent a contingent of "top brass" to meet him at his own home. The Knicks are among the teams interested in Tolliver, whose 3-point shooting continues to bolster his appeal -- he averaged 2.0 triples on career-best 43.6% shooting from deep last season.
Jul 1 - 7:31 PM

The meeting between Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and the Clippers has been rescheduled for July 2, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com.

Haynes reported that the two sides were going to meet today, so he has the scoop on this story. It's unknown why they would delay it a day, but perhaps it's on the Clippers because teams generally have more leverage in talks right now. Either way, KCP and the Clippers aren't exactly the best fit considering all the guards on the roster.
Jul 1 - 12:34 PM

Free agent Amir Johnson has reportedly been contacted by the Lakers, Clippers and Wolves.

The 31-year-old will bring steady depth to whichever team's frontcourt he joins this summer, but he's not a fantasy asset no matter where he lands. For what it's worth, the Sixers have reportedly shown interest in big man Kyle O'Quinn, which suggests they're ready to move on from Johnson.
Jul 1 - 1:46 AM

Kawhi Leonard "remains a high offseason priority" for the Clippers, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

It can't hurt to try, right? Leonard reportedly wants to play in L.A. and all the focus has been on the Lakers, who have the cap space and assets to potentially pair him with LeBron James. The Clippers are very much a dark-horse candidate in this race, especially since the Celtics and Sixers could still be in the mix.
Jul 1 - 12:56 AM

Pressure is reportedly mounting on the Lakers to acquire Kawhi Leonard ahead of free agency.

LeBron James reportedly would like to make his free agency decision quickly, meaning there's some added pressure on the Lakers to bring in Leonard in order to entice LBJ to sign with the Los Angeles franchise. However, the Lakers first conversation with Spurs management did not get very far, and San Antonio appears to be in no rush to get a deal done. Leonard could steer his way towards Los Angeles if he can convince opposing NBA teams that his only interest is to sign with the Lakers in 2019, but right now, the Celtics, Clippers and 76ers all remain interested in Kawhi.

Kawhi Leonard told Gregg Popovich during their Tuesday meeting that he no longer wants to play for the Spurs, according to Stephen A. Smith.

Leonard has made it clear that he'd like to be traded to one of the Los Angeles-based teams, and that his preference would be to go to the Lakers. It's not a great look for Leonard's camp that he first went to the media, and not management, with his trade request, but perhaps that's an indication of how badly fractured their relationship has become.

The Hawks are reportedly dangling their No. 19 and 30 picks to move up in the 2018 draft.

The Hawks have reportedly been in contact with the Nuggets (No. 14) and the Clippers (Nos. 12 and 13), so it'll be interesting to see if anything comes to fruition from this report tomorrow. The Hawks could basically use help at every position, so the rookies that land there will have the opportunity to make some noise in fantasy hoops right out the gates.
Jun 20 - 11:56 AM

Robert Williams went in for a second workout with the Clippers on Tuesday.

Williams visit included a meeting with Clippers' owner Steve Ballmer, so it's clear that they're seriously considering him for either their No. 12 or 13 selection on draft day. Williams isn't the most offensively polished product in the 2018 draft, but he's an athletic freak with great potential on the defensive end. That said, if the Clippers are able to retain DeAndre Jordan, it would be tough for Williams to find meaningful minutes in Los Angeles.

The Lakers and Clippers have expressed concerns about Kawhi Leonard's health, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Beat writer Tania Ganguli states, "Neither the Lakers nor Clippers have had trade discussions with the Spurs, as both teams have concerns about the severity of Leonard’s injury." Kawhi only played in nine games last season due to a quad injury, but he is reportedly "96 to 97 percent" healthy. Adrian Wojnarowski reported this week, "Leonard has expressed nothing directly to Spurs about [his] future," so for now this is all speculation.

Zhaire Smith had a work out with the Clippers on Monday.

Smith will be right in the Clippers' range when they come on the board with the No. 12 and 13 picks in the 2018 draft, and as a defensive-minded player, he said he'd like to learn under the tutelage of Patrick Beverley. Smith is one of the most athletic guys in the upcoming draft, but he does still need to work on his ballhandling and perimeter shooting.

Sam Amick of USA Today said the Clippers are one of many teams keeping tabs on the Kawhi Leonard saga.

Amick adds that the Clippers are planning a trade package in case the Spurs make Kawhi available, but it's hard to imagine them having the necessary assets to get a deal done. The Leonard situation is one of the weirdest stories in recent memory, as he still has no timetable to rejoin the Spurs even though he was medically cleared months ago.

The Clippers are reportedly interested in signing Derrick Rose.

Tyrone Wallace served as long as he could on two, separate 10-day deals, and the Clippers haven't made much progress on a rest-of-season contract with him so they're now considering other options. Rose won't have much value regardless of where he winds up.

Danny Green was not traded on Thursday despite being linked to discussions with the Clippers.

The Spurs are reportedly concerned that Green will opt out of his $10 million player option and command a premium in free agency, but Bradley is already slated for unrestricted free agency. In the end, Green and Bradley both stayed put and their fantasy values didn't budge.
Feb 8 - 3:56 PM

The Spurs and Clippers have discussed a trade involving a first-round pick from San Antonio and Danny Green for Avery Bradley.

As of right now, Marc Stein of the New York Times said that the Spurs are hesitant to give up the draft pick. Green has a $10 million player option for 2018-19 and San Antonio might be worried that he'll opt out, while Bradley is set to hit the open market this summer. Green would lose value in this scenario since Lou Williams is in Los Angeles, while Bradley may get a small bump playing for the best coach in the NBA.
Feb 8 - 9:38 AM

DeAndre Liggins was traded from the Clippers to the Hawks on Sunday, but Atlanta is expected to waive him.

The deal gets L.A. just below the luxury tax threshold, while creating a $1.7 million trade exception. It's anyone's guess where Liggins will begin the 2017-18 season -- since last April he's been waived by the Cavs, claimed by the Mavs, traded to the Clippers and then traded to the Hawks.

Dwyane Wade will reportedly consider Miami, Cleveland and Los Angeles if he reaches a buyout with Chicago.

To be clear, no buyout talks have yet been initiated between Wade and the Bulls, but given the current direction of the Chicago franchise, it just doesn't make much sense for the 35-year-old veteran to remain on the roster. There have, however, been rumors that the Bulls may want to use Wade as a trade chip this season, so we might not see the two sides initiate buyout talks until after the trade deadline.
