Sam Amick of USA Today said the Clippers are one of many teams keeping tabs on the Kawhi Leonard saga.

Amick adds that the Clippers are planning a trade package in case the Spurs make Kawhi available, but it's hard to imagine them having the necessary assets to get a deal done. The Leonard situation is one of the weirdest stories in recent memory, as he still has no timetable to rejoin the Spurs even though he was medically cleared months ago.

The Clippers are reportedly interested in signing Derrick Rose.

Tyrone Wallace served as long as he could on two, separate 10-day deals, and the Clippers haven't made much progress on a rest-of-season contract with him so they're now considering other options. Rose won't have much value regardless of where he winds up.

Danny Green was not traded on Thursday despite being linked to discussions with the Clippers.

The Spurs are reportedly concerned that Green will opt out of his $10 million player option and command a premium in free agency, but Bradley is already slated for unrestricted free agency. In the end, Green and Bradley both stayed put and their fantasy values didn't budge.
Feb 8 - 3:56 PM

The Spurs and Clippers have discussed a trade involving a first-round pick from San Antonio and Danny Green for Avery Bradley.

As of right now, Marc Stein of the New York Times said that the Spurs are hesitant to give up the draft pick. Green has a $10 million player option for 2018-19 and San Antonio might be worried that he'll opt out, while Bradley is set to hit the open market this summer. Green would lose value in this scenario since Lou Williams is in Los Angeles, while Bradley may get a small bump playing for the best coach in the NBA.

DeAndre Liggins was traded from the Clippers to the Hawks on Sunday, but Atlanta is expected to waive him.

The deal gets L.A. just below the luxury tax threshold, while creating a $1.7 million trade exception. It's anyone's guess where Liggins will begin the 2017-18 season -- since last April he's been waived by the Cavs, claimed by the Mavs, traded to the Clippers and then traded to the Hawks.

Dwyane Wade will reportedly consider Miami, Cleveland and Los Angeles if he reaches a buyout with Chicago.

To be clear, no buyout talks have yet been initiated between Wade and the Bulls, but given the current direction of the Chicago franchise, it just doesn't make much sense for the 35-year-old veteran to remain on the roster. There have, however, been rumors that the Bulls may want to use Wade as a trade chip this season, so we might not see the two sides initiate buyout talks until after the trade deadline.

Milos Teodosic is reportedly in the process of negotiating a three-year, $24 million deal with the Clippers.

This report is stemming from a source that earlier reported Teodosic was working on a deal with the Bulls, so we're somewhat skeptical of taking this report at face value. If true, Teodosic would likely be headed for a timeshare situation with Patrick Beverley, so in terms of fantasy hoops, this isn't really an ideal landing spot for the 30-year-old point guard.

JaVale McGee is scheduled to meet with the Clippers on Wednesday, according to sources of Adrian Wojnarowski.

McGee remains engaged with the Warriors, but the Clippers will be able to offer him significantly more money as a free agent. It wouldn't be surprising to see McGee opt for a higher payday this summer, but regardless of where he winds up, it's unlikely he'll find himself in a situation where he'll earn enough minutes to warrant consideration in fantasy hoops.

The Clippers' free-agency pitch to Danilo Gallinari made a "strong impression," according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

L.A. has "long coveted" Gallinari, who is an unrestricted FA, and it's unclear how much competition they'll face -- the Kings have reportedly fallen out of contention, and the Nuggets recently agreed to a three-year deal with Paul Millsap. For both practical and fantasy purposes, Gallo just needs to stay healthy -- he's missed an average of 25.0 regular season games in the past five seasons.

The Lakers reportedly remain interested in unrestricted free agent Rajon Rondo.

Thus far, Rondo has been linked to the Knicks, Pacers and Clippers, so the Lakers would be one of the worst places for him to land in terms of fantasy potential. It's also unclear if Rondo would be interested in taking on a mentorship role in Los Angeles, as he didn't seem all that thrilled playing that sort of role with the Bulls last season.

The Clippers are reportedly trying to find a third team with cap space to help facilitate a sign-and-trade deal for Danilo Gallinari.

To be clear, Gallinari has not yet made a decision as to where he'd like to play next season, and while he has hinted that his preference would be to remain with Denver, it's tough to trust comments from players around this time of the year. Gallinari should be able to flirt with mid-round value regardless of the name across his jersey, but he doesn't have the best track record with staying healthy, making him a risky fantasy target. For what it's worth, the Kings are reportedly no longer an option for Danilo.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN said the Clippers are "focused" on free agents Danilo Gallinari and Joe Ingles.

Wojnarowski adds that one of the Clippers priorities is to bring in more shooting, as the franchise is expected to lose J.J. Redick. Gallinari said this week that his goal is to remain in Denver, but his leverage in contract talks will only increase every time he's linked to another team. The Nuggets are the only team that can offer him a five-year deal, so they are still considered the favorites. Gallo will meet with Los Angeles this weekend, so we should know more on Sunday night or Monday morning.

Joe Ingles - G/F - Jazz

The Clippers are "focused" on Joe Ingles as a free agent target, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The report adds the team wants shooting and is also looking at Danilo Gallinari. The Clippers famously cut Ingles at training camp back in 2014, but now Woj adds the team could have to pay him $10-11 million per season. The Jazz are also expected to match most offers on Ingles, and he's quite the fan favorite in Salt Lake City.

Joe Ingles - G/F - Jazz

Free agent forward Joe Ingles is expected to meet with the Clippers and Jazz this weekend, according to beat writer Tony Jones.

Adrian Wojnarowski also reported that Ingles "has yet to start negotiations with any team," and we won't have a clear idea of where he might land until he's met with a few teams. At the moment, Western Conference teams are the only ones connected to Ingles, but that could change overnight.

Zach Randolph is set to meet with teams in Los Angeles when free agency opens, and is getting interest from the Kings, Thunder and Clippers, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge.

Z-Bo has said he's looking forward to his time as a free agent, so he's going to take some meetings with teams to see what they have to offer. Still, he's said his goal is to remain with the Grizzlies, which isn't surprising based on the impact he's had on the team's identity and his impact in the community.

ESPN 1500's Darren Wolfson lists the Timberwolves, Raptors, Nuggets, Kings, Sixers and Clippers as teams expected to pursue P.J. Tucker in free agency.

We've now heard multiple reports linking Tucker to the Clippers, and that's not a surprise given their issues at the small forward position. As for the other landing spots mentioned, all would make varying levels of sense, but ultimately it's likely going to come down to dollars and cents for a player who finally has a chance to cash in on his value.

The Clippers are interested in James Johnson, Rudy Gay, Jonathon Simmons, Danilo Gallinari, P.J. Tucker, Joe Ingles and Andre Iguodala in free agency, according to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

In other words, Los Angeles wants all of the small forwards. The three spot has been a revolving door that pre-dates the Doc Rivers regime, but perhaps that won't be the case for too much longer. Of the names mentioned here, Ingles, Tucker and Iguodala would seem to be the most plausible.
Fri, Jun 30, 2017 08:03:00 PM

The Clippers spoke with free agent Chris Singleton last week, according to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

Singleton has been out of the league since 2013-14, so this was likely just a conversation about summer league, let alone a training camp invite. Regardless, the former first-round pick has expressed a desire to find a way back to the league, so maybe the suddenly new-look Clippers will give him a make-good deal.

Houston Rockets acquired G Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for G Patrick Beverley, G Lou Williams, F Sam Dekker, F/C Montrezl Harrell, G DeAndre Liggins, G Darrun HIlliard, F Kyle Wiltjer, a 2018 top-3 protected first-round pick and cash.

Paul reportedly informed that Clippers that he was going to sign with the Rockets as a free agent, which forced the Clippers to execute this deal rather than lose him for nothing. CP3's value should hold steady playing in Houston's uptempo offense, while James Harden should spend a bit more time playing off the ball, meaning Harden's assist numbers could take a slight hit although his scoring could increase. Paul is opting into the final year of his contract, so he'll hit free agency again in 2018.

The Timberwolves, 76ers, Spurs, Clippers, Magic, Nets and Jazz will all reportedly pursue Andre Iguodala as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Kevin Durant is reportedly going to take less than the max as a free agent this offseason in an attempt to help the Warriors keep the band together, but some of these opposing teams will be able to offer the 33-year-old, 2015 Finals MVP significantly more money this summer. Iguodala's best shot of being a part of another championship team is obviously in Golden State, but at 33 years old, this will also be his final opportunity to sign a big-money, long-term deal during free agency.
