According to Sam Amick of USA Today, Indiana is a potential landing spot for DeMarre Carroll.

Al Jefferson would head to Brooklyn in this rumored deal, but the Pacers would likely have to give up a young player or draft pick to make this work because Carroll does have some value around the league. As for Jefferson, he'd likely be waived if he ended up with the Nets. If Carroll does end up in Indiana, Bojan Bogdanovic would lose some value and Thaddeus Young might too.

Denzel Valentine cooled off in 26 minutes on Saturday, finishing a lopsided loss vs. Boston with just five points, five rebounds, a steal, and a 3-pointer on 1-of-3 shooting.

Valentine had back-to-back nice games coming into this one, but he just couldn't get it going in a tough matchup vs. the Celtics. If you picked Valentine up this week, give him a chance to right the ship in the upcoming week ahead with matchups vs. the Bucks, Knicks, and Pacers before making any decisions. That being said, Zach LaVine's (knee) return will further crowd the picture, so don't get too reliant on Valentine for anything.

Pacers waive Trey McKinney Jones.

He dealt with a left shoulder injury during the preseason, which didn't help, but he wasn't likely to make the cut anyway. His whereabouts won't impact fantasy lineups.

Jones was a longshot to make the regular-season roster, and he'll likely continue his career in the G-League or overseas.

Former Pacers big man Shayne Whittington has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal in Russia.

Whittington went undrafted in 2014 and played a total of 27 games over two seasons with the Pacers. He spent the 2016-17 season in Spain, and at age 26 it doesn't seem likely that he'll make it back to the NBA.

Miami likely won't be able to retain unrestricted free agent Willie Reed.

Miami will reportedly be bringing back Udonis Haslem for a 15th season with the club, and with the team drafting Bam Adebayo, there's just not much incentive for them to award a big money deal to Reed considering they will likely need to shell out a decent amount of cash to retain guys like Dion Waiters and James Johnson. Reed has received interest from the 76ers, Pacers and Rockets, but none of those places would be ideal for him in terms of fantasy hoops.

The Lakers reportedly remain interested in unrestricted free agent Rajon Rondo.

Thus far, Rondo has been linked to the Knicks, Pacers and Clippers, so the Lakers would be one of the worst places for him to land in terms of fantasy potential. It's also unclear if Rondo would be interested in taking on a mentorship role in Los Angeles, as he didn't seem all that thrilled playing that sort of role with the Bulls last season.

The Knicks are unlikely to sign unrestricted free agent George Hill, a source told Marc Berman of the New York Post.

Berman as the voice of reason is a new look, but it's hard to disagree with the logic in this spot. New York probably doesn't have quite enough available money to offer Hill an enticing deal, so it's more likely than not that Hill will look elsewhere for his newest team. Per Berman, the Nuggets and Pacers are two teams vying for Hill's services.

Houston and Indiana's trade talks focused around Paul George are "generally on hold," a source told Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Expect a lot of non-updates on George's future until some clarity is finally received, but this is just another indication that the Pacers aren't quite as far along in the process as their front office would like to have you believe.

The Pelicans and Pacers are early possibilities for Rajon Rondo, according to CSN Chicago's Vincent Goodwill.

In case you missed it, Rondo was waived earlier today and is an unrestricted free agent. The Pelicans will obviously be doing all they can to bring back Jrue Holiday, but the Pacers could be without a point guard as Jeff Teague appears to be the favorite to land in Minnesota.

According to ESPN's Zach Lowe, the Celtics have not included any of the following in its Paul George offers: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, the 2018 Nets pick, and the Lakers-Kings pick.

The Boston Herald's Mark Murphy had previously reported that Indy was asking Boston for basically all of that and more. General Manager Danny Ainge sure doesn't like to give up draft picks and players with unknown ceilings. Besides that, his reluctance to offer anything valuable does suggest he thinks Boston has a shot at Gordon Hayward. Tatum and Brown figure to play together a lot in summer league as they headline Boston's young second unit.

Jawun Evans is scheduled for a workout with the Pacers on Wednesday.

Evans is a maestro with the pick-and-roll, although he struggled to convert at the rim during his two-year college career. The Pacers might be looking for a point guard in the draft if they can't retain Jeff Teague during free agency, although Evans figures to be more of a backup than a starter at the next level.

The Pacers are reportedly working on a deal to bring back Lance Stephenson.

Indiana opened up a roster spot by waiving Rodney Stuckey on Wednesday, so it appears that three years after Born Ready declined a five-year, $44 million deal from the Pacers, Larry Bird will be able to get him on the books for the veteran's minimum. While Stephenson did have a nice season the last time he put on a Pacers' jersey in 2013, he's been dreadful for the past three years, so this is wait-and-see territory just about everywhere.

The Pacers reportedly have interest in trading for Kings swingman Arron Afflalo.

If the Pacers don't get a suitable offer for Paul George, it sounds like they'll pivot to being buyers at the deadline. Afflalo would provide redundant depth on the wings and he's a poor per-minutes fantasy option, so there's no cause for optimism here.

The Bulls have "continued to push on a trade" for Jahlil Okafor, according to The Vertical.

Chicago and Philadelphia are having ongoing discussions and if Okafor doesn't end up with the Bulls, it's still likely that he'll find himself wearing another jersey after the break. The Celtics, Pacers and Kings have also been tied to Okafor -- it depends upon the players involved, but Sacramento looks like the ideal team for fantasy purposes.

The Celtics are reportedly still interested in Jahlil Okafor.

The Celtics still view Jimmy Butler and Paul George as their primary targets for any deadline day deal, but if Boston can't pull off a major move, they may turn their eyes towards Okafor. David Aldridge boldly stated during an appearance on NBA TV on Tuesday night that Okafor "will get moved" by the deadline and that Philly has "a lot of offers" on the table. He's also been linked to the Pacers and Kings, and the Kings would be the best landing spot in terms of fantasy hoops.
