Free agent Treveon Graham is reportedly drawing interest from the Wolves, Pistons and Wizards.

Graham became an unrestricted FA when the Hornets declined to make a qualifying offer. He has roots in D.C. and could be an affordable addition for the cap-crunched Wizards, but won't have fantasy value no matter where he signs.

Dwane Casey reportedly met with Pistons' owner, Tom Gores, on Tuesday.

Additionally, Michigan coach John Beilein has officially withdrawn from consideration for the head coaching gig in Detroit, so right now, it looks like the job is Casey's for the taking. Casey ran some of the most inconsistent big man rotations in the league while he was at the helm in Toronto, so if he is hired by Detroit, that could be bad news for Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond.

Detroit management is reportedly interested in "further conversations" with former Raptors head coach Dwane Casey and Michigan coach John Beilein.

Both coaches have already met with the franchise, so it looks like the final decision will come down to these two, with Casey being the favorite to land the gig. The Pistons have a lot of money owed ($113.6 million) to a not so great roster next season, so it could be tough for the new coach to break the playoff drought.

Juwan Howard will interview for the Pistons' vacant head coaching position, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Howard was a candidate for the Knicks' job before they hired David Fizdale, and he's been serving as an assistant coach for Miami since 2013. The Pistons will reportedly also interview Dwane Casey, Kenny Smith and Spurs assistant Ime Udoka for the job. It appears they hope to move quickly, as they recently brought in former head coaches Bernie Bickerstaff and Jim Lynam to help expedite the hiring process.

The Pistons plan to interview Kenny Smith for the Detroit head coaching position, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

The Jet has been a key piece on TNT for their NBA coverage, and he's more about the Xs and Os than the other two analysts on the Inside the NBA panel. Smith did also interview for the Knicks job back in April, but it didn't sound like he was close to getting that position. The Pistons sound like they want to get this figured out before the NBA Draft.

Shane Battier has reportedly withdrawn from consideration for Detroit's open GM position.

Battier got as far as a second interview with the Pistons, but it sounds like he'll be staying with Miami's front-office for now. More names will assuredly come up throughout the summer as the Pistons zero in on a target, but the Battier rumors can be put to rest.
May 29 - 3:48 PM

The Heat have granted the Pistons permission to discuss a front-office position with Shane Battier.

Battier joined Miami's decision-makers in 2017 as the Director of Basketball Development and Analytics, which included evaluating talent "including college, free agents and current Miami players." Detroit is casting a wide net in their search for talent in the wake of Stan Van Gundy's exit -- SVG was serving as both head coach and GM, so there's a big void to fill.
May 16 - 7:41 PM

Nikola Mirotic returned to action on Saturday with 16 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block, making 6-of-13 shots with four 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

Mirotic missed one game due to illness but looked fine vs. Detroit tonight. He's eligible to be traded on Monday and teams like the Pistons and Jazz have been mentioned as possible suitors -- for now, the Bulls are reportedly holding out for a first-round draft pick. Heat coach Fred Hoiberg referred to playing Mirotic and Lauri Markkanen together as "a fun lineup," so as long as he's with Chicago his role appears safe.
Jan 13 - 11:44 PM

The Pistons have reportedly expressed interest in Nikola Mirotic.

The Pistons and Jazz have now officially been named as teams that are looking to acquire the 26-year-old power forward, but the Bulls can't officially trade him until January 15. They're reportedly seeking a first-round selection in any Mirotic trade, but it is worth noting that a clause was put into Mirotic's contract this summer that gives him veto power in any trade. However, with Mirotic being the one that requested the trade in the first place, that veto thing might not end up being an issue.
Jan 9 - 5:10 PM

The Magic snapped a two-game losing streak on Wednesday, aided by Nikola Vucevic's team-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting, five rebounds, four steals and three 3-pointers.

The steals tied Vuc's previous career-high and he's cruising as an early-round this season -- remember the start last year, when Bismack Biyombo (15 minutes) seemed like a threat? He made all three of his free throws tonight, with one assist and one block, and the Magic improved their record to 7-4, which is third in the East behind the Pistons (8-3) and Celtics (10-2).
