The Magic snapped a two-game losing streak on Wednesday, aided by Nikola Vucevic's team-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting, five rebounds, four steals and three 3-pointers.

The steals tied Vuc's previous career-high and he's cruising as an early-round this season -- remember the start last year, when Bismack Biyombo (15 minutes) seemed like a threat? He made all three of his free throws tonight, with one assist and one block, and the Magic improved their record to 7-4, which is third in the East behind the Pistons (8-3) and Celtics (10-2).

The 76ers are reportedly unwilling to buyout Jahlil Okafor, but they will seek to trade him.

Okafor's NBA career hasn't exactly been spectacular, but the 76ers should be able to find a trade partner so that they don't lose him for nothing. Boston has been rumored to have interest in the past, but his value wouldn't be great there. In fact, it's tough to see him landing in a situation where he'd automatically attain must-own status in 12-team leagues.

Andrew Bogut (tibia) will get a final bone scan on Tuesday and expects to be cleared for a full return, according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.

There are reportedly four teams pursuing Bogut, and he hopes to sign a new contract next week. The Celtics had been linked to Bogut earlier this offseason and now have an open roster spot as a result of the Kyrie Irving trade. Bogut makes sense for Boston, as they could use another rebounder and rim protector.

The Cavaliers are reportedly still pursuing an additional first-round pick from Boston to complete the deal involving Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas (hip).

Both teams would need to agree to a deadline extension if no agreement is made before 10am ET. Adrian Wojnarowski previously reported that "[the Cavs] could be inclined to complete the deal for a late first-round pick or second-round considerations," but so far the Celtics haven't sweetened the deal. We'll know more as the 10am deadline approaches.

The Cavs and Celtics would reportedly need to mutually agree to extend the trade-review deadline if a consensus isn't reached by Wednesday evening.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Cleveland may seek additional compensation in the deal sending Isaiah Thomas to Cleveland in a package for Kyrie Irving, due to concerns about Thomas' injured hip. Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe adds that the Celtics may take a "hard line stance" after already giving up Thomas, Jae Crowder and the Nets' 2018 first-round draft pick. For what it's worth, Irving completed his physical on Saturday without incident.

The Celtics and Cavs have engaged in active trade discussions centered on Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas, according to Shams Charania of The Verticle.

With a treasure trove of draft picks, Boston can probably offer Cleveland the most attractive package in any deal for Irving, and Thomas would fit in nicely in the Cavs' system. Irving might see some more shot opportunities in Boston, but it likely wouldn't be a dramatic uptick in usage with Al Horford and Gordon Hayward also needing the rock. Still, he should still be able to work at a top-25 evaluation as a member of the Celtics. As for Thomas, it wouldn't be the best landing spot due to the presence of Derrick Rose, but he'd still very likely be an early-round guy.

Cleveland management reportedly views a Kyrie Irving trade as "almost inevitable," as they're not confident in their ability to salvage the relationship.

The Cavs are reportedly looking for a "king's ransom" in return for Irving and they're placing a high premium on bringing in a "blue-chip young player," according to sources of Zach Lowe of ESPN. Phoenix has surfaced as one of the more intriguing potential landing spots for Irving, but that deal would likely hinge on the Suns' willingness to part ways with Josh Jackson, whom they're reportedly enamored with. Boston has also reached out to Cleveland, but Lowe notes that it's unlikely we'll see the top-2 teams out East strike a deal this summer.

The Grizzlies may be willing to move Marc Gasol this offseason.

Memphis has already lost Zach Randolph, and Grindhouse legend Tony Allen could be the next one out the door, so it might make sense for the Grizzlies to initiate the rebuilding process if the right package comes along. The Celtics have a ton of assets, and Danny Ainge has been looking to bring in a proven rim protector for years now, so they could be a team to watch if Memphis makes Gasol available in trade talks.

Gordon Hayward may not make his free agent decision until Wednesday.

"Gordon and his wife are still in the process of making a decision," said Hayward's agent Mark Bartelstein. "This is the toughest decision of Gordon's life." News hit on Tuesday afternoon that Hayward had decided to join the Celtics, but that reporting was quickly refuted by Adrian Wojnarowski and David Aldridge, and Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune has stated that neither Boston nor Utah has heard official word from Hayward. Jones also reports that Hayward has changed his mind four times in the past four days and that he was so irked when the initial report of him going to Boston was leaked, that it has caused him to "re-evaluate everything."

Updating a previous report, Gordon Hayward has not yet made an official decision as to where he will sign as a free agent, according to his agent, Mark Bartelstein.

And we officially have our first free agency fiasco of 2017. Chris Haynes of ESPN reported that Hayward had decided to sign with the Celtics, but then David Aldridge of TNT refuted that report, as did Adrian Wojnarowski‏ (also of ESPN) and Woj included a quote from Hayward's agent: "Gordon hasn't made a decision yet. We are still working through it." Until we see that Players' Tribune piece, nothing is official. Stay tuned.

Gordon Hayward reportedly encouraged Utah to make a move for Ricky Rubio this summer.

Utah management accomplished this goal for Hayward, and Rubio was one of those in attendance during Monday's meeting, so maybe that gives him some extra incentive to re-up with the Jazz as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Hayward will be choosing between Utah, Miami, and Boston, and he'll reportedly make an official decision by Tuesday or Wednesday. Stay tuned.

Free agent Gordon Hayward is expected to choose a team "by Tuesday or Wednesday," according to beat writer Tony Jones.

Hayward met with the Heat on Saturday, the Celtics on Sunday, and he's scheduled for what is likely his final meeting on Monday with the Jazz. It's unclear if he's been swayed by the two presentations he's seen thus far, and his decision should lead to a flurry of moves -- whichever teams miss out on him will quickly act on their Plan B scenarios.

Gordon Hayward will meet with Quin Snyder, Dennis Lindsey and Steve Starks in San Diego on Monday, according to sources of Jazz beat writer Jody Genessy.

Hayward met with Miami management on Saturday, and he's scheduled to meet with the Boston brass on Sunday, so Monday will likely be his last big meeting as a free agent. The Jazz are reportedly optimistic that they'll be able to retain their All-Star, but there haven't been any reports from Hayward's camp indicating what direction he's leaning towards.

Gordon Hayward will meet with the Heat on Saturday.

He is going to meet with the Jazz on Monday, but doesn't have a date set to meet the Celtics yet. According to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune, Hayward is hoping to come to terms on a deal "in short order." There's no doubt the Jazz have Hayward as their top priority, and their franchise could really be set back if he heads elsewhere. Hayward should have solid fantasy value wherever he goes, but Utah may be his best spot.

The Wizards reportedly have not given up their pursuit of Paul George.

To be clear, the Wizards have almost no shot of creating a deal that will entice the Pacers to part ways with their superstar, but John Wall (who is a good friend of George) is reportedly doing his best to try and recruit PG-13. As of right now, it would appear the Celtics have the best shot of putting together a package that will net them George, but the Wizards, Rockets and Cavs all remain in the running.
Wed, Jun 28, 2017 11:34:00 AM

The Celtics reportedly are reportedly pursuing a plan that would net them both Gordon Hayward and Paul George this offseason.

The Celtics will have the cap space to make a legitimate offer to Hayward, and the assets to present the Pacers with a competitive offer for Paul George, so they have the pieces in place to potentially put together a superteam of their own this offseason. Also, if the Celtics aren't able to secure Hayward via free agency, they will reportedly look to Blake Griffin as a plan B. If Boston is able to bring in another star player this offseason, Isaiah Thomas' value would take a slight hit.
Tue, Jun 27, 2017 02:41:00 PM

The Pacers and Celtics are "engaged in serious talks" about a Paul George trade, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, but they are "still apart."

Here we go. Boston has a heap of young talent and draft picks they can use to lure George away from the Pacers, but keep in mind this isn't a done deal -- it had "gained significant momentum," but may have since cooled off. George isn't expected to promise that he'll re-sign with a new team, given his interest in signing with L.A. next summer, so there's obvious risk involved. Stay tuned, as we should know more very soon.

The Celtics have received Josh Jackson's medical records.

He's not going to work out for the Celtics prior to the draft due to what he calls scheduling issues, but at least with his medical records in hand, there will be far less risk in drafting him. It looks like the Celtics will be choosing between Jackson and Jayson Tatum on draft day, but with all the depth Boston has at the three-spot, neither of these guys would likely be able to make a huge impact during their rookie year as a member of the Celtics.

The Bulls are reportedly "actively shopping" Jimmy Butler.

The Bulls apparently want to jump start their rebuild, and the Cavs and Celtics appear to be the frontrunners to land Butler's services should a deal go through. Chicago management reportedly want to free head coach Fred Hoiberg of Butler, as they haven't really meshed, which is a rather strange direction to go considering Butler's skill set. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out, but if Butler does get dealt, that would likely also result in Dwyane Wade opting out of his deal. Stay tuned.

The Spurs, Celtics, Suns and 76ers have all reportedly reached out to the Knicks regarding Kristaps Porzingis.

How far any of these talks got is uncertain, as it's being reported that Phil Jackson's asking price in any potential Porzingis deal remains very high, but it's interesting to see that New York appears to be fielding offers for a guy many believe is their franchise player. For what it's worth, according to Porzingis' brother, KP6 remains committed to the Knicks despite the constant drama that has surrounded the franchise since his arrival.
