Oscar Lindberg cashed in on each of his shots on goal in Saturday's 5-4 preseason shootout win at San Jose.

The 26-year-old Swede picked up nine goals with 11 points in 63 games in Vegas last season, but he was a frequent healthy scratch during the playoffs. Unless injuries strike hard in Vegas then Lindberg is likely to serve as a bottom-six forward with very little value heading into the season. However, if he produces like he did in this one, perhaps he will surpass the 28-point career best he set in 2015-16 as a member of the New York Rangers.
Sep 23 - 1:48 AM

Max Pacioretty picked up a goal with a plus-1 rating, four shots on goal and a hit in Saturday's 5-4 preseason shootout win at San Jose.

Pacioretty is fitting in quite nicely with the defending Western Conference champs, who just so happened to run their preseason record to 4-0-0. It's like the Golden Knights are in midseason form. Even though it seems like Pacioretty's been around forever, he is just 29 and still in the prime of his career. He had a difficult campaign in Montreal last season, posting just 17 goals and 37 points. Pacioretty could be a nice value on draft day if he slips, as he might be quite rejuvenated playing with a contender again.
Sep 23 - 1:35 AM

The Vegas Golden Knights have assigned Zach Whitecloud to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

Joining Whitecloud on the reassignment will be Dylan Coghlan, Reid Duke, Zach Fucale, Tomas Hyka, Kevin Lough, Brooks Macek, Jimmy Oligny, Gage Quinney and Tyler Wong. Whitecloud skated in one game with Vegas last season, finishing with no points but a plus-3 rating.
Sep 22 - 12:28 PM

The Vegas Golden Knights have waived Oscar Dansk.

Dansk had a 2.44 GAA and .918 save percentage in 20 AHL games last season. He also posted a 1.78 GAA and .946 save percentage in four contests with Vegas. Although that's impressive, he's still the Golden Knights' third goalie behind Malcolm Subban and Marc-Andre Fleury.
Sep 21 - 6:10 PM

Reilly Smith scored a goal and three assists in a 7-2 blowout preseason win over the Los Angeles Kings Thursday night.

Smith scored his lone goal of the night in the opening period, capping off a 3-0 start for the Golden Knights. The winger also assisted on goals from William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault. Smith and the Golden Knights will look to prove their debut season was no fluke this year. Smith had a 60-point season in 67 games. As he enters his prime years, the time is right to match or even surpass those totals in Vegas.
Sep 21 - 1:17 AM

Dylan Ferguson has been assigned to Kamloops of the WHL.

Ferguson had a 2.95 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 59 appearances for the Blazers last season. Vegas also loaned Lucas Elvenes to Rogle BK of the Swedish Hockey League.
Sep 19 - 5:44 PM

Alex Tuch posted a power-play goal with an assist and a plus-1 rating in Tuesday's 5-1 preseason road victory against the Avalanche.

The power forward managed to scratch out 15 goals with 37 points across 78 games with the Golden Knights in his rookie season. It's possible he could work on the team's second line with Max Pacioretty and Paul Stastny, and if he is able to stay as a top-six forward he could be a major fantasy sleeper with that kind of firepower at his side. Keep a close eye on Tuch during the preseason, as he could be a steal in the later rounds on draft day.
Sep 19 - 1:56 AM

Paul Stastny picked up a pair of assists with a plus-1 rating in Tuesday's 5-1 preseason victory in Colorado.

Stastny is fitting in nicely for the Golden Knights, and he is expected to slot in as the team's second-line center. He posted 16 goals with 37 assists across 82 games splitting time with the Blues and the Jets last season. Playing with the Golden Knights will not harm his plus/minus rating, and he'll likely see some time on the power play, too. Stastny will be a solid depth option in fantasy leagues, so nab him if he is available in the final few rounds.
Sep 19 - 1:46 AM

Tomas Nosek looked very good on the top line with William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault Sunday.

It was the first preseason game of the year for the Golden Knights and Nosek delivered with a three assist performance. He had only 15 points last season but excelled in the post-season with three goals coming in the Stanley Cup Final. "I like (Nosek’s) game," coach Gerard Gallant said. "I don’t know how many goals he scored last year — I’m not a big numbers guy — but he scored some big goals for us last year. He played well. I want him to come in and do the same thing he did last year." Nosek could be a sneaky last round pick in deeper pools.
Sep 17 - 8:44 AM

Max Pacioretty scored a goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-2 preseason win over the Arizona Coyotes.

The Golden Knights acquired Pacioretty from the Canadiens last week, and he seems to be fitting in quite nicely. All of his damage came in the first period, as he set up Jake Bischoff's goal (2-0) before adding one of his own 4:39 later to give his team a 3-1 lead at the time. The 29-year-old struggled last season with Montreal (he had 17 goals and 37 points in 64 games with the Canadiens), but there's a good chance he'll bounce back nicely with Vegas this season. Jonathan Marchessault (twice), William Karlsson, Nicolas Hague and Erik Brannstrom also scored for the Golden Knights.
Sep 16 - 10:53 PM

Ryan Reaves was cut by a skate at Vegas' first practice of training camp.

Reaves had to leave the ice for repairs, but coach Gerard Gallant said the Golden Knights tough guy would be OK.
Sep 14 - 5:45 PM

Shea Theodore did not hit the ice with his Vegas teammates on Friday.

Theodore is a restricted free agent and the two sides reportedly remain far apart on a deal at this time.
Sep 14 - 4:08 PM

Erik Haula still believes he can play as a top-six forward on Vegas.

"I've always been a center," Haula said. "I'm not going to go into training camp thinking anything. I think of myself as a top-six forward and that's my mindset going into camp." The Golden Knights sought to make improvements to the second line during the off-season with the additions of Paul Stastny an Max Pacioretty. The changes may put Haula on the wing or on the third line.
Sep 12 - 9:19 AM

Max Pacioretty has inked a four-year contract extension with Vegas worth $28 million.

Pacioretty was acquired by the Golden Knights very early on Monday morning. The Canadiens received Tomas Tatar, Nick Suzuki and a 2019 second-round pick in the deal. Pacioretty's new contract will kick in after the 2018-19 season.
Sep 10 - 2:56 PM

Max Pacioretty's agent, Allan Walsh, has been negotiating with Vegas on a new contract.

The Golden Knights acquired Pacioretty from Montreal overnight and the two sides have been busy working on a contract. Pacioretty doesn't want the distraction of discussing a new deal during the season and doesn't intend to negotiate once the 2018-19 campaign begins. Therefore, it is important for both sides to come to terms on a contract as soon as possible. Pacioretty is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
