He has three months before the start of training camp, which should be plenty of time. Johnson's agent characterized the operation as "extremely minor," and assured that his client would "be at [the Bills'] facility for all activities." Johnson played through the injury all last year. He still caught 76 passes for 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns, setting a career high with a 13.2 yards-per-reception average and finishing as the No. 21 fantasy receiver. Apr 29

"I'm not saying make a full position change, but I think there's some flexibility with what you can do with the guy," Philbin said. Miller caught just 28 career passes in college, but buried behind Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas on the depth chart, the Dolphins appear ready to get creative in finding ways to get Miller's 4.40 40 speed on the field. Recovering from December shoulder surgery, Miller says he's "coming along pretty good," and expects to be cleared for contact before camp. May 7

Messam revealed that it's his second surgery on the same knee in the last five months. Already a long shot for a roster spot, this will kill Messam's chances of making an early impression. May 14
