Mark Scheifele registered three assists in Friday's 6-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

The 24-year-old helped set up goals by Blake Wheeler, Andrew Copp (shorthanded) and Patrik Laine (power play). Scheifele now has 17 goals and 28 assists in 42 games this season. He's a must-start in all fantasy formats.
Feb 17 - 9:32 AM

Mark Scheifele scored twice, including a game-tying goal, and added an assist in a 4-3 overtime win over the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.

Scheifele opened the scoring before tying the game with 15 seconds left, sending the game to overtime. Tyler Myers finished the job in the extra session. Scheifele is up 17 goals and 42 points in 41 games this season.
Feb 14 - 12:32 AM

Mark Scheifele played 23:32 in his return to the lineup on Friday night.

Only defenseman Dustin Byfuglien played more minutes than Scheifele in Friday's game against the Blues. It was the Jets forward's first game back in the lineup since he suffered an upper-body injury just over six weeks ago. He finished the night with no points, a minus-1 rating and one shot on goal. "Obviously the main thing is it sucks we lost. Had to shake off a little bit of rust early, but felt better and better as the game went on and got more comfortable," said Scheifele.
Feb 10 - 8:59 AM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) will make his return on Friday.

Scheifele will be on a line with Blake Wheeler and Patrik Laine. Jack Roslovic, who had been skating on the top line, will drop to the fourth unit as a result. This will be Scheifele's first game since Dec. 27. He has 15 goals and 38 points in 38 games this season.
Feb 8 - 4:31 PM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) skated between Blake Wheeler and Patrik Laine at Wednesday's practice.

Scheifele took some contact in the session and a return on Friday appears to be in the cards. His pending return will probably shift Wheeler back to the wing. He has been great while filling in at center during Scheifele's absence.
Feb 8 - 11:10 AM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) is still on track for a possible return to the lineup on Friday night.

Scheifele participated in a full practice Monday and his doctor visit apparently went well. He will get some more skates in before a potential return against St. Louis. Scheifele will sit out his 16th consecutive game on Tuesday night when the Jets host Arizona.
Feb 6 - 5:32 PM

Coach Paul Maurice said that Mark Scheifele (upper body) won't play Tuesday night.

However, Scheifele still could be ready to play Friday if he continues to make progress this week.
Feb 5 - 2:41 PM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) will see a doctor Monday afternoon.

Scheifele doesn't think he will be ready to play Tuesday, but he hasn't completely ruled out that possibility yet. He also didn't reveal what the injury is that has kept him out of the lineup since Dec. 27.
Feb 5 - 1:51 PM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) was sporting a regular practice jersey during Monday's workout.

Coach Paul Maurice ruled out Scheifele for Tuesday's game versus Arizona last week, but a return on Friday remains a possbility. We'll keep you posted on his status over the week. He hasn't played since Dec. 27 due to an upper-body injury.
Feb 5 - 12:05 PM

Mark Scheifele could be back in the Jets' lineup on February 9th, per head coach Paul Maurice.

Scheifele's been out of the lineup with an upper-body injury since Dec. 27. If he does return on February 9th, that would mean that he'll have missed a full six weeks of action. Obviously, getting him back in the lineup will give the Jets a huge boost. Scheifele has 15 goals and 38 points in 38 games this season.
Feb 3 - 11:41 AM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) was back on the ice Wednesday.

It was Scheifele's first session with his teammates since he was injured against the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 27. However, his return is not imminent, as he skated with a non-contact jersey and he didn't take part in many drills. "He'll stay where he is for at least another week before we start banging him around a little bit," coach Paul Maurice said. "But he's on track."
Feb 1 - 11:24 AM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) is expected to need another week before he'll be ready to take contact.

Scheifele is projected to make his return to the Jets' lineup in mid-to-late February. He last played on Dec. 27. He has 15 goals and 38 points in 38 games this season.
Jan 31 - 3:22 PM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) skated before practice on Monday.

Scheifele did not participate in practice. Updates on the 24-year-old center have not been plentiful, but there could be more information when coach Paul Maurice speaks to the media after Monday's session.
Jan 29 - 3:13 PM

Mark Scheifele is expected to miss the next six-to-eight weeks with an upper-body injury.

In other words, Scheifele shouldn't be expected back until February. He was hurt during Wednesday's game when he crashed awkwardly into the end boards. He's one of the Jets' key offensive weapons with 15 goals and 38 points in 38 contests this season. Needless to say, this is a big test for Winnipeg as the squad looks to hold their own during his extended absence.
