Ondrej Pavelec could be out for a while after suffering a knee injury Friday against the Flames.

Pavelec's replacement Alexandar Georgiev was not an emergency recall, rather just a regular call up and that does not bode well for the status of Pavelec. He is 4-7-1 with a 3.01 GAA and a .910 save percentage in 16 games this season.

Feb 11 - 8:29 AM

Ondrej Pavelec suffered a knee injury in Friday's game against the Calgary Flames.

The Rangers have already announced that he won't be returning to Friday night's game. Henrik Lundqvist is now between the pipes for New York. An update on Pavelec will likely be provided after the game.
Feb 9 - 8:08 PM

Ondrej Pavelec will get the start in Friday's game against the Calgary Flames.

Starter Henrik Lundqvist had been pulled in three of the last five games, so the Rangers have decided to give him the night off. Pavelec owns a 4-7-1 record with a 3.01 goals-against-average and a .911 save percentage this season.
Feb 9 - 6:20 PM

Ondrej Pavelec allowed five goals on 28 shots in a 6-5 win over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.

This is the second straight start that Pavelec has allowed five goals, but he got the victory this time around. He has posted a 4-7-1 record this season with a 3.15 GAA and a .907 save percentage.
Jan 26 - 1:34 AM

Ondrej Pavelec will be the Rangers' starter on Thursday.

This is Pavelec's first start since he allowed five goals on 19 shots in a 7-2 loss to the Islanders on Jan. 13. He has a 3-7-1 record, 2.96 GAA, and .914 save percentage in 12 contests this season.
Jan 25 - 4:43 PM

Ondrej Pavelec was pulled after allowing five goals on 19 shots in a 7-2 loss to the New York Islanders.

Pavelec lasted just 26:51 before being pulled for Henrik Lundqvist. The Rangers are back in action tomorrow against the Pittsburgh Penguins and we'd expect to see King Henrik in goal. Pavelec has now lost two straight games, dropping his record to 3-6-1 with a 2.97 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.
Jan 13 - 4:06 PM

Ondrej Pavelec led the New York Rangers out of the tunnel ahead of this afternoon's matchup with the New York Islanders.

The Rangers are starting a back-to-back and have decided to give Pavelec the opportunity to start it off with a victory. He has a 3-5-1 record this season with a 2.55 goals against average and a .926 save percentage.
Jan 13 - 12:32 PM

Ondrej Pavelec allowed two goals on 34 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

Pavelec did what every backup goaltender is tasked to do, keep their team in the game. Unfortunately, the Rangers didn't seem to have the legs on the second half of a back-to-back to mount much of anything offensively. The loss drops the 30-year-old's record to 3-5-1 with a 2.55 goals against average and .926 save percentage.
Jan 8 - 12:23 AM

Ondrej Pavelec will start Sunday night for the Rangers versus Vegas.

New York will hope to cash-in with their backup goaltender when they visit Vegas for the first time. Pavelec is 3-4-1 this season with a 2.61 goals against average and .924 save percentage. He'll need to bring his best against the Western Conference-leading Golden Knights.
Jan 7 - 7:40 PM

Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 30 shots in a 1-0 shootout win over the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night.

Pavelec recorded his first shutout since March 22, 2016, back when he was a member of the Winnipeg Jets. He was perfect through 65 minutes of play and didn't allow a goal in the shootout. His record is now 3-4-1 with a 2.61 goals-against-average and a .924 save percentage.

Ondrej Pavelec will play between the pipes Wednesday night.

It's a little surprising given that the Rangers just had the Christmas break and this game isn't part of a back-to-back set. However, this gives Henrik Lundqvist an opportunity to get in a couple practices to get back in the swing of things after the break.

Ondrej Pavelec may get the nod against the Bruins on Saturday.

Henrik Lundqvist started and won 4-2 Friday night over the Kings, so it is likely that Pavelec will get the call against Boston Saturday afternoon. Pavelec is coming off two starts in which he has made at least 40 saves--the first time a Ranger goalie had accomplished that feat in 16 years. For the season, Pavelec has a 2-4-1 record with a 3.04 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage.

Ondrej Pavelec stopped 44 of 45 shots in Monday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Dallas Stars.

It's an unfortunate result for the Rangers backup goalie, as he turned in a pretty strong performance on Monday. Pavelec came up with some timely saves to keep his team in the game. He now has a 2-4-1 record with a 3.04 goals-against-average and a .914 save percentage this season.

Ondrej Pavelec will be between the pipes Monday when the Rangers host Dallas.

Pavelec blocked 41 of 44 shots in a 4-3 win against Pittsburgh last Tuesday to improve his record to 2-4-0 on the season. He also owns a 3.45 goals-against average and .899 save percentage in seven appearances. This will be his first home start since Oct. 26.
