Jordan Clarkson scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting off the bench on Sunday, hitting two 3-pointers with two rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes.
Clarkson averaged 3.3 points through the first three games of the series, but he was on fire with 5-of-5 shooting in the first half tonight. He failed to score after that initial outburst, however, which typifies his unreliability against a strong defense in the postseason. Apr 22 - 11:45 PM

Jordan Clarkson scored 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting in Friday's win over the Pelicans.

He split a pair of free throws, but made all four of his 3-pointers with four rebounds, two assists and three turnovers in 30 minutes. George Hill left the game with an ankle injury and wasn't able to return, so Clarkson could be looking at a short-term boost in value beginning on Sunday vs. the Mavericks. After his 5-point dud vs. the Hornets on Wednesday, there's a good chance he might be on your waiver wire.
Mar 30 - 10:51 PM

Jordan Clarkson ended up with 19 points across 32 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 114-109 win at Chicago.

Clarkson connected on 6-of-13 from the field, including 4-of-9 from behind the 3-point line, while going a perfect 3-of-3 from the free-throw stripe. He didn't contribute much else for fantasy owners, but he continues to roll up big minutes off the bench while scoring well. He continues to lead the NBA in baskets made by a reserve.
Mar 17 - 11:25 PM

Jordan Clarkson finished with 23 points across 27 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 129-107 victory in Phoenix.

Clarkson was a solid 8-of-14 from the field, including an impressive 6-of-10 from behind the 3-point line, while adding two steals and an assist with just two turnovers. As long as Rodney Hood (back) is sidelined Clarkson will see a healthy amount of minutes. He remains a solid fantasy option, as he continues to lead the NBA in baskets by a reserve.
Mar 14 - 1:03 AM

Jordan Clarkson flopped vs. the Lakers on Sunday, shooting 1-of-8 from the field to finish with four points, four assists and two turnovers in 16 minutes.

Rodney Hood (back) was out tonight and the Cavs needed their supporting cast to help LeBron James, but he was mostly on an island. J.R. Smith shot 1-of-7 from the field, Jeff Green shot 2-of-8 as a fill-in starter, and the result was a 127-113 road loss. Clarkson is better most nights but doesn't offer much beyond scoring and some 3-pointers.
Mar 12 - 12:40 AM

Jordan Clarkson ended up with 21 points across 25 minutes off the bench Friday against the Clippers.

Clarkson hit 6-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-5 from behind the arc, as he settled in nicely to his former stomping grounds. Next up is a highly-anticipated game against his former team, the Lakers, on Sunday. The 21 points were his most since his trade to the Cavs, and it was his biggest total since Jan. 23 when he scored 22 against the Celtics.
Mar 10 - 2:23 AM

Jordan Clarkson was ejected in the waning moments of Thursday's game, after throwing the ball at Dario Saric's back following a made basket.

Clarkson apparently felt Saric was running up the score with 12.2 seconds left, and he tossed the ball into his lower back. Clarkson was immediately ejected but nothing else came of the altercation, so presumably the league will let him go with just a fine. If you're relying on him for Saturday's game vs. Denver, though, it can't hurt to confirm his status before tip-off.
Mar 1 - 11:11 PM

Jordan Clarkson hit 7-of-14 shots for 17 points on Sunday, going 3-of-7 from deep with two rebounds and three turnovers.

The Cavs reportedly feel Clarkson is "a more than respectable catch-and-shoot player," and that his percentages will improve with more plays created for him. He's shooting just 36.8% on catch-and-shoots this season, but that does include a solid 37.6% mark from downtown. Fantasy owners stand to benefit if he's going one-on-one less often, so it's good news that the Cavs want to increase his catch-and-shoot attempts.
Feb 25 - 7:12 PM

Jordan Clarkson (face) was able to return to Friday's game in Memphis and finish with 14 points over 20 minutes.

Clarkson suffered a right eye laceration in the first half and he needed stitches to close a gash. He was able to return and play a good chunk of the fourth quarter with the team well ahead and resting the starting five. It appears Clarkson should be fine for Sunday's nationally-televised game against the Spurs and then beyond.
Feb 23 - 11:12 PM

Jordan Clarkson (face) is probable to return on Friday vs. the Grizzlies.

He suffered a right eye laceration in the first half and needed stitches. He's listed as probable, but we'd be surprised if he didn't come back in.
Feb 23 - 9:19 PM

Jordan Clarkson was quiet on Thursday with nine points, two rebounds, two assists and one turnover in 17 minutes vs. the visiting Wizards.

Starting PG George Hill logged 31 minutes tonight and Clarkson was strictly deployed as his backup, which isn't what fantasy owners want to see. If he doesn't earn minutes at SG it will be hard to justify holding him in 12-team leagues, but a bit of patience is warranted as coach Ty Lue sorts out his rotations. We'll keep a close eye on Clarkson's minutes during games this Friday (at Memphis) and Sunday (vs. San Antonio).
Feb 22 - 11:18 PM

Jordan Clarkson hit 6-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 14 points, three rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.

Clarkson scored 17 on Sunday and is averaging 15.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 3-pointers in his two Cavs games. He's going to play both backup point guard and shooting guard, and just might be able to maintain his value in Cleveland. He's in wait-and-see mode for now.
Feb 13 - 11:24 PM

Jordan Clarkson was solid in his Cavs' debut on Sunday, scoring 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting to go with three 3-pointers, three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 23 minutes.

Clarkson provided a nice spark off the bench with the second unit, and it seems as though he's already endeared himself to LeBron James, so we'd expect his minutes to rise over the coming games. Clarkson only needs minutes in the mid-20s to be effective, and he's going to be getting a lot of wide-open looks whenever he shares the floor with James, so maybe he'll be able to sustain his value in Cleveland.
Feb 11 - 6:27 PM

Cavaliers coach Ty Lue said Jordan Clarkson will run the second unit on Sunday vs. Boston.

George Hill will start at point guard alongside Cedi Osman, but it sounds like Clarkson could get plenty of burn at both guard spots. Clarkson didn't play much in Los Angeles when Lonzo Ball was active, so maybe this trade benefits him. We'll find out soon enough.
Feb 11 - 2:07 PM

Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance will not play against the Hawks on Friday.

The Cavs won't have their new-look roster at full strength today with Rodney Hood and George Hill also out. Clarkson is going to have more talent around him in what should be a second-unit role, so his fantasy value may be taking a hit. Plus, he is less likely to close games.
