Jordan Clarkson finished Wednesday's loss in Portland with a team-high 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting, two 3-pointers and two assists.
In the process, Clarkson passed the 5,000-point threshold for his career. He's averaging a career-high 17.0 points per game with Cleveland, hitting 45.5% of his shots with 1.8 triples, 3.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.8 steals in his bid for Sixth Man of the Year honors. Clarkson is easily hitting top-100 value in 8-cat and 9-cat leagues, and his guaranteed $13.4 million deal for 2019-20 may insulate him from extended late-season rest. Jan 17 - 12:48 AM

Jordan Clarkson hit just 4-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for nine points, two rebounds, two assists and a turnover in 28 minutes against the Lakers on Sunday.

If you were banking on a revenge game for the former Laker, he let you down. And it wasn't easy to see it coming, as Clarkson has been hot, scoring at least 21 points in three of his previous four games. Tonight was his first single-digit scoring night since Dec. 10, so he'll look to start a new streak on Wednesday at Portland. The Cavaliers play three times in the upcoming week and Clarkson is owned in about 65% of Yahoo! leagues, but if he's floating around on your waiver wire, he's worth a look. Despite tonight's dud, JC's averaging 18.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.6 blocks and 2.0 3-pointers over his last five games.
Jan 14 - 12:17 AM

Jordan Clarkson had one of his best stat lines of the season during a 140-124 loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday, scoring 21 points with four rebounds, two assists, three steals, three blocks and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

Despite what looked like a blowout loss, the Cavs were in this game until late in the fourth and even had a lead at half. The Cavs also played the Pacers tight on Tuesday, so Clarkson has hit the 30-minute mark in back-to-back games after failing to do so in his previous four games. He should still be a hold in standard leagues.
Jan 9 - 11:12 PM

Jordan Clarkson scored 26 points in a 123-115 loss to the Pacers on Tuesday, hitting 11-of-20 shots and 2-of-2 free throws.

He's been one of the few bright spots for Cleveland all season and tonight was no different. Clarkson hit a pair of triples to go with two rebounds, one assist and three steals, and this marks his 13th game of the season hitting the 20-point mark. If Larry Nance misses time with his new knee injury, Clarkson's value will only go up with Nance running a lot of offense these days.
Jan 8 - 9:50 PM

After losing by 26+ in two straight games, coach Larry Drew is considering moving Jordan Clarkson and, possibly, Jalen Jones into the starting lineup for the team's next game.

The Cavs have been hampered by numerous injuries, as well as just bad performances on most nights. Clarkson is the team's leading scorer and their only consistent contributor. It remains to be seen how much playing time a move to the starting lineup would add to his total, but Clarkson is still worth owning in most leagues moving forward, regardless.
Jan 6 - 10:04 AM

Jordan Clarkson didn't get much help during a 133-98 loss to the Pelicans on Saturday, scoring 23 points with four rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

The Cavs needed him to get a little more run with Rodney Hood (Achilles) and Matt Dellavedova (foot) out, but this game got to garbage time and Clarkson wasn't out there. His minutes were dipping a little with 29 on Dec. 28, 25 on Wednesday and 19 on Friday, but again garbage time was the culprit. Even with the dip, Clarkson has still been playing well enough to flirt with top-100 value over his last 10, so he should worth owning in standard leagues.
Jan 5 - 10:34 PM

Jordan Clarkson led all scorers with 24 points on Wednesday, making 10-of-20 shots with four 3-pointers, five rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Cleveland was once again playing without David Nwaba (ankle) and Rodney Hood (Achilles), and they needed Clarkson's scoring more than ever. It wasn't enough in the eventual loss at Memphis, but fantasy owners won't complain -- he was tied for the team-high with 31 minutes and is averaging 20.3 points in the past four games.

Jordan Clarkson lit up the Hornets for 20 points (8-of-19 FGs) in a losing effort on Wednesday, making four 3-pointers with three rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Matthew Dellavedova (sore left knee) was out tonight, allowing Clarkson to earn extra minutes. His playing time was a season-high but he's hit 28+ in all but two games in December, and is soaring as a fantasy source of points, 3-pointers and pristine FT%. He's even contributing 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.7 steals this month, and needs to be owned in 12-team and deeper.

Jordan Clarkson (back) will play on Wednesday night against the Hornets.

He missed Tuesday night after dealing with some back issues earlier this week. Before Tuesday, coach Larry Drew talked about wanting to play Alec Burks next to Clarkson, so it's possible Burks stays in the second unit. Clarkson should also be busy in the second unit and get some PG minutes with Matt Dellavedova (knee) out, so he's a viable DFS play and is worth owning in 12-team leagues.

Jordan Clarkson (back, rest) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against the Pacers.

The Cavs are on the front end of a back-to-back set, but with the team also labeling this as a rest day, it sounds like he should be able to get back out there on Wednesday. With Clarkson unavailable tonight, there will be more minutes for Alec Burks, Matthew Dellavedova and Collin Sexton.
Tue, Dec 18, 2018 05:42:00 PM

Jordan Clarkson scored 23 points vs. the Bucks on Friday with five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two triples in 33 minutes.

He's coming off a 28-point performance on Wednesday and it's safe to say that the back issue that limited him on Dec. 10 and Dec. 12 is past him -- he scored a combined 16 points on 6-of-22 shots in those two games. Clarkson is flirting with a 30% usage rate over his past two games and has been Cleveland's most consistent player this season.

Jordan Clarkson scored a game-high 28 points in Wednesday's win vs. the Knicks, making 12-of-21 shots with two 3-pointers, five rebounds and two assists.

Clarkson did his damage in a season-high 34 minutes and showed no ill effects from the back soreness that limited him on Monday. That injury is the likely culprit for his single-digit scoring in two straight games, prior to which he'd been cruising as an every-night scorer. There won't be many assists or defensive stats, but Clarkson does enough offensively to be owned in most competitive leagues.
Wed, Dec 12, 2018 10:58:00 PM

Jordan Clarkson (back) was held to nine points on 4-of-13 shooting vs. the Bucks on Monday.

He played just 20 minutes, but that had more to do with the score than his back issue. Clarkson managed to grab five boards with three assists, and maybe his owners should give him another chance since he was putting up a career-high 16.3 points per game with 2.0 assists and 1.5 triples prior to Monday. His upside is limited to those three categories and FT% (85.5), though.
Mon, Dec 10, 2018 11:20:00 PM

Jordan Clarkson (back) will play on Monday vs. the Bucks.

He won't be 100 percent though, as Clarkson reportedly looked "sore" at the morning shootaround. Clarkson is averaging a career-high 16.3 points per game and will get more looks tonight if Rodney Hood (toe, questionable) can't go.

Jordan Clarkson (back) is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Bucks.

According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, Clarkson looked "sore" at the morning shootaround. He picked up the injury over the weekend vs. the Wizards, as coach Larry Drew kept him on the bench during the fourth quarter due to back tightness. With Rodney Hood (toe) considered questionable, Alec Burks may get all the touches he can handle and has been on fire since joining the Cavs with 14.3 points, 5.8 boards, 3.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.5 triples.
