Marco Belinelli scored 21 points with four rebounds, five assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Heat on Thursday.
He takes some wild shots, but that's who he is and it's part of the reason Belinelli had the best offensive rating among 76ers rotation players in the regular season and why the 76ers offense looks great when he's out there. Plus, he's put up a 60 eFG% on his shots from 25-29 feet in the previous 17 games, so he gets them to go in. He'll have a few more big games as the 76ers make a run. Apr 19 - 10:04 PM

Date:

Marco Belinelli scored 25 points with two rebounds, two assists, three steals and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Heat on Game 1 on Saturday.

You can't overstate what a great pickup Belinelli has been. Before this gem, he had a 63.1 TS% on a 24.1 usage rate in the last eight games without Joel Embiid in the lineup. He picked up a few early minutes because of a mild J.J. Redick side injury, and Belinelli was out there to close it out. While the add of Belinelli made sense to give Philly more shooting, he's been effective in other areas besides scoring, as well.
Apr 14 - 10:53 PM

Marco Belinelli started Wednesday's game and had 13 points, five assists, three rebounds, three 3-pointers and two steals in 20 minutes of action.

J.J. Redick was out with lower back tightness, giving Belinelli the start. There's no reason to think Redick's ailment will linger into the postseason, but we'll have to wait for details before knowing for sure -- if he does miss time, Belinelli's 3-point range will be more important than ever.
Apr 11 - 11:48 PM

Marco Belinelli will start Wednesday's season finale in place of J.J. Redick (lower back).

It sounds like a precaution to rest Redick in the final game of the regular season, although Philly does have incentive to win -- they can control their seeding regardless of what Cleveland does tonight.
Apr 11 - 7:51 PM

Marco Belinelli scored 23 points with two rebounds, two assists, one block and six 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

What a pickup he's been, and the same for Ersan Ilyasova. Belinelli is going to get a lot of clutch minutes in the playoffs and he's been on fire since the Joel Embiid injury. He should be owned in all leagues until he gets rested.
Apr 6 - 10:29 PM

Marco Belinelli had another productive outing on Wednesday, going 6-of-12 from the field and 3-of-4 from the stripe on his way to 19 points in 30 minutes off the bench.

Belinelli added four triples, four rebounds, two assists, three steals and four turnovers while he was out there, and he's been shooting the lights out over the past 10 games, hitting 58.8% of his attempts to go with averages of 16.2 points, 2.4 triples, 2.3 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.7 turnovers per game. He should be owned everywhere.
Apr 4 - 10:10 PM

Marco Belinelli hit 7-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 17 points, two rebounds and one assist in Tuesday's easy win over the Nets.

Bello's been great, averaging 15 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.6 3-pointers over his last five games, and has hit double figures in scoring in nine straight games. He's worth using the rest of the way, as he's been doing this consistently since going to the Sixers in February.
Apr 3 - 10:01 PM

Marco Belinelli only missed once during Sunday's easy win in Charlotte, going 9-of-10 from the field and 2-of-2 from the stripe on his way to 22 points in 31 minutes.

Belinelli added three 3-pointers, one rebound, three assists, one steal and five turnovers while he was out there, and he's been feeling himself over the past few weeks, flirting with top-60 value behind averages of 15.8 points, 2.4 treys, 2.5 dimes and just 1.4 turnovers per game on 59.5% shooting. The sky-high shooting isn't sustainable, but he's worth a look in most leagues while he's this hot.
Apr 1 - 4:36 PM

Marco Belinelli scored 21 points against his former teammates on Monday vs. Charlotte, hitting 8-of-14 shots and 5-of-9 triples.

He played down the stretch and had eight of his 21 points in the fourth quarter. Belinelli also added a pair of assists and rebounds and did all of his damage in 24 minutes. Belinelli is consistently getting minutes in the 20s, but this was his best game as a 76er and we'll need to see him string a few more good games together before calling him a pickup in the middle of the fantasy playoffs. Prior to Monday, he was averaging just 10.5 points, 1.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 1.4 triples with the 76ers.
Mar 19 - 9:44 PM

Marco Belinelli scored 14 points with one assist and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Heat on Thursday.

He did take a few down-the-stretch minutes from Robert Covington and Belinelli has found himself 25 minutes per game over his last five. In that span, he averaged 10.6 points, 1.6 boards, 1.0 assists and 1.4 treys on 43.2 percent from the field. He's an OK low-end asset in deep leagues.
Mar 8 - 10:07 PM

Marco Belinelli scored 15 points with two rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes against the Magic on Saturday.

This was kind of a garbage-time special with nine points coming in the fourth quarter, so don't overreact to this one. Belinelli is only a deep-league specialist.
Feb 24 - 7:41 PM

Marco Belinelli scored 17 points in his Sixers debut on Wednesday, making 7-of-12 field goals in 28 minutes off the bench.

Belinelli hit three 3-pointers and his teammates kept feeding him the ball once he got hot, but he added just one rebound without any assists, steals or blocks. He was a solid pickup in reality for Philly as they fight for playoff position, but Belinelli's fantasy value is limited to 3-point shooting and scoring, especially while J.J. Redick is healthy.
Feb 14 - 10:51 PM

Marco Belinelli is expected to make his 76ers' debut on Wednesday vs. the Heat.

Belinelli was available to play on Monday, but didn't actually get out there, but Brett Brown said he'll throw him into the rotation with Justin Anderson (ankle) unavailable. He'll have a limited role in Philly and isn't worth using in most leagues.
Feb 14 - 5:30 PM

Marco Belinelli has signed with the 76ers and is available for Monday's game vs. the Knicks.

Coach Brett Brown said he probably won't play Belinelli tonight and said Wednesday's game vs. Miami is more likely. He won't have much fantasy value in Philly, but will give their second unit a scoring punch and another player who can handle the ball.
Feb 12 - 5:31 PM

Marco Belinelli could make his debut for the 76ers on Monday vs. the Knicks.

He will sign his paperwork a couple hours before tip-off and it's just a matter of whether or not they can get it done in time. Belinelli will be a solid addition to Philly's second unit, but it will be interesting to see who takes minutes away from. He's not a fantasy pickup for now.
