Greg Monroe scored eight points with five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 19 minutes against the Pistons on Friday.
There are just too many options for Brad Stevens, so Monroe won't be able to overcome how he'll be used situationally. He should've been dropped when he agreed to sign with the Celtics. Feb 23 - 9:38 PM

Semi Ojeleye fell out of the Celtics' rotation on Thursday.

The rookie forward was averaging 25.3 minutes in Boston's previous four games, and coach Brad Stevens gave him a vote of confidence after tonight's DNP-CD. "He's a big part of our rotation, a big part of who we are," Stevens said. "We're going to be in experimentation-mode for a while." Ojeleye's fantasy value has vanished with Greg Monroe in Boston.
Feb 8 - 11:57 PM

Aron Baynes started Thursday's game but finished with just two points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 14 minutes of action.

The Celtics' physical veteran isn't rostered in most fantasy leagues anyway, but he looks like the biggest loser with Greg Monroe in Boston -- he hadn't played fewer than 16 minutes in over two weeks. The silver lining is that Baynes appears healthy after being cleared for concussion symptoms during Tuesday's game vs. Toronto.
Feb 8 - 11:41 PM

Aron Baynes scored eight points on 3-of-5 shooting Sunday to go with eight rebounds, two blocks and two turnovers through 21 minutes as a starter.

Baynes came through with the blocks, but it could be tough for him to find meaningful minutes once Greg Monroe works his way into the rotation. Daniel Theis recorded six points, eight rebounds, two assists, one block and one turnover in 20 minutes off the bench, but he might drop from the rotation entirely once Monroe gets out there. Baynes and Theis belong on the waiver wire in most leagues.
Feb 4 - 2:56 PM

Isaiah Canaan, Troy Daniels, T.J. Warren, Dragan Bender and Greg Monroe will start on Monday vs. the Grizzlies.

The Suns are shorthanded tonight with Devin Booker (ribs) and Marquese Chriss (ankle) out. Tyson Chandler is also getting the night off. Canaan has outplayed Tyler Ulis since he arrived in Phoenix and is the best bet to help fantasy owners in Phoenix's backcourt.
Jan 29 - 7:47 PM

Tyson Chandler (rest) will not suit up for Monday's game in Memphis.

It's the second night of a back-to-back, and Chandler doesn't play in those, so he'll be rested tonight. Marquese Chriss (ankle) is unlikely to play, so guys like Dragan Bender and Greg Monroe could be forced into heavy minutes tonight, with Monroe offering a bit more upside.
Jan 29 - 6:54 PM
Alex Len - C - Suns

Alex Len (ankle) is questionable to play in Memphis on Monday.

Len has spent the past three games on the sidelines, and still has yet to practice, so we wouldn't expect to see him out there tonight. His absence will open up minutes for Greg Monroe, and perhaps Dragan Bender will spend some more time at the five.
Jan 29 - 2:50 PM

Devin Booker (right rib contusion) and Marquese Chriss (ankle) are questionable to play Monday vs. the Grizzlies.

Booker logged 41 minutes in Sunday's loss, and didn't look quite right after the game, so it would be surprising to see him take the court tonight. With Chriss, Troy Daniels (back) and Alex Len (ankle) also questionable, T.J. Warren and Greg Monroe could be forced into heavy minutes with a ton of shots coming their way, putting them on the DFS radar for tonight's game. Check back closer to tip-off for another update.
Jan 29 - 2:35 PM
Alex Len - C - Suns

Alex Len (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rockets.

Len wasn't able to practice on Saturday, so this isn't surprising at all, and it also seems unlikely that He'll be able to get out there for Monday's game in Memphis. With Len watching from the sidelines, Greg Monroe should be able to flirt with around 20 minutes off the bench, and Dragan Bender could also see some run at the five when Houston goes small.
Jan 28 - 2:19 PM

Tyson Chandler (illness) will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockets.

This likely means that Greg Monroe will be returning to the second unit, but if Alex Len (ankle) is out, Monroe should still be able to see minutes in the mid-20s. Chandler is little more than a rebounding specialist in deep leagues.
Jan 28 - 2:14 PM

Tyson Chandler (rest) will return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, sending Greg Monroe back to the bench.

Chandler picked up a DNP-CD on Monday, but he'll be back in action tonight, which will likely bump Monroe from the rotation entirely. Chandler is little more than a rebounding specialist in deep leagues.
Jan 24 - 12:15 PM
Alex Len - C - Suns

Alex Len notched his first double-double in nearly a month on Sunday, coming off the bench for 12 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and one block in 19 minutes.

Len hit 6-of-7 field goals but he was 0-of-2 at the line, and his extreme efficiency masks the fact that he played fewer than 20 minutes for the fifth consecutive game. The potential is obvious, but Len is impossible to trust while Tyson Chandler is active and the frontcourt rotation includes Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender and (occasionally) Greg Monroe.
Jan 15 - 12:59 AM
Alex Len - C - Suns

Alex Len posted just two points, three rebounds and one steal in eight minutes of action on Sunday.

Marquese Chriss didn't return after straining his hip in the second quarter, but Dragan Bender (20 points, six boards, four assists) wound up going off while earning backup center minutes. Len's role is murky at best while Tyson Chandler is starting, and he's still just an optimist's stash in case Phoenix turns him loose closer to the All-Star break.
Jan 7 - 11:31 PM

Tyson Chandler (rest) will start at center for the Suns on Friday vs. the Spurs.

Chandler was rested in the Suns loss to the Nuggets on Wednesday. Over his last five starts, Chandler is averaging 6.0 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 26.9 minutes. With Chandler back in the starting lineup, Greg Monroe will likely get stuck with a DNP-CD on Friday.
Jan 5 - 12:49 PM
Alex Len - C - Suns

Alex Len played only nine minutes vs. Denver on Wednesday, going 1-of-6 from the field and 4-of-6 from the line for six points and five rebounds.

Tyson Chandler was resting tonight, but it was fill-in starter Greg Monroe who soaked up 35 minutes at center. We can't argue with Len's usage rate tonight (39.3%), but he continues to be too inconsistent for use in 12-team leagues. And unless Tyson Chandler gets shut down, it doesn't look like that's changing soon.
Jan 4 - 1:57 AM

Tyson Chandler (rest) is not expected to play Wednesday vs. the Nuggets.

The Suns are on the second leg of a back-to-back, and they also had some weird flight issues last night where they didn't get into Denver until 2 pm today (five hours before tip-off), so it would be surprising to see Chandler out there tonight. Alex Len, Greg Monroe and Marquese Chriss will absorb his minutes.
Jan 3 - 5:35 PM

Tyson Chandler notched his third double-double of the season on Sunday with 10 points, 11 rebounds and one block in 31 minutes vs. the Sixers.

Chandler hit 5-of-8 field goals while going 0-of-2 at the line tonight -- meanwhile, Alex Len was quiet in 17 bench minutes and Greg Monroe racked up another DNP-CD. If you're relying on Chandler as a rebounds and FG% specialist in deep leagues, be aware that he's likely to be rested during the Suns' back-to-back set on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Jan 1 - 1:12 AM

Tyson Chandler started Saturday's home loss, posting four points on 2-of-4 shooting, 15 rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes.

Phoenix cut the Wolves' lead from 21 points down to two points in the second half, partly thanks to Chandler's work on the glass, but it wasn't enough. Minnesota won the battle of the boards 47-36, and scored 10 more points at the free-throw line tonight, which accounted for their 10-point margin of victory. With 10 DNPs in his past 24 games, Chandler is merely a streaming option in season-long fantasy leagues.

Alex Len - C - Suns

Alex Len scored 14 points with 14 rebounds, four assists and one block in Monday's 97-91 win over Dallas.

Len picked up his second straight double-double and his team-leading sixth of the season. He played 28 minutes for the second night in a row and hit 5-of-8 shots, while Greg Monroe picked up his second straight DNP-CD. There was never any doubt that Len was going to become the center to own in Phoenix, and hopefully this is a sign that the Suns are done with their three-headed monster at center.
Tue, Dec 19, 2017 12:07:00 AM

Tyson Chandler (personal) will start at center in Saturday's game vs. the Wolves.

The Suns' merry-go-round at center picks up Chandler on Saturday. Over his last four starts, Tyson is averaging 6.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 27.7 minutes.

Alex Len - C - Suns

Alex Len returned to action after sitting out on Saturday and had nine points, eight boards, three assists and a block on 4-of-4 shooting in Tuesday's loss.

The center rotation is a disaster in Phoenix, but both Len and starter Tyson Chandler (7 points, 10 boards, 1 steal, 2 blocks) played fairly well tonight, while Greg Monroe got the night off in this one. Owning any Phoenix center, or player for that matter, not named T.J. Warren is an interesting exercise in patience.
