Marco Belinelli played 19 minutes in Friday's preseason finale with five points, three rebounds, two assists, one block and a triple.
Once a fantasy afterthought, injuries have suddenly made Belinelli relevant again. Dejounte Murray (ACL) is out for the year and Derrick White (heel) is out for several weeks, so Belinelli's ability to handle the ball will be very important for the Spurs in the short term. He's not a standard-league option, but could have some low-end value until White gets back. Oct 12 - 10:06 PM

Brett Brown heaped praise on Ersan Ilyasova and Marco Belinelli, saying that the arrival of the two veterans "has changed our world."

Who would've thought that the Hawks had this much talent on their roster earlier this season? Jokes aside, both guys were big in Philly's Game 1 win over Miami with Ilyasova going for a double-double (17 points, 14 rebounds) and Marco Belinelli dropping 25 points.

J.J. Redick scored 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting Sunday, to go with two 3-pointers, two rebounds and four assists over 31 minutes.

Redick struggled to get his shot to fall through the first half of action, going 3-of-8 from the field, but he turned things around after halftime, and also finished a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe without committing any turnovers. Marco Belinelli kept up his strong play as of late with 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three turnovers in 27 minutes off the bench.

J.J. Redick played just 18 minutes vs. Memphis, scoring 15 points (5-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) with three 3-pointers, three rebounds and one assist.

None of Philly's starters logged more than 25 minutes tonight due to the lopsided score. Marco Belinelli was playing well with 15 points in 32 minutes off the bench, and coach Brett Brown simply used the opportunity to rest the 33-year-old Redick. This was the first half of a back-to-back set, though, so at least he'll be rested vs. Orlando on Thursday.

Robert Covington made 2-of-7 field goals and 4-of-4 free throws on Sunday, scoring nine points with two rebounds, two steals, one assist, one 3-pointer and zero turnovers in 30 minutes.

Last season, Covington shot 38.3% before the All-Star break but hit 43.7% after the break. This season he's on the opposite trajectory -- he made 44.6% of his attempts in October and November, but hasn't been above 38.4% in the three months since then. The other concern is the arrival of Marco Belinelli. Covington is averaging 28.3 minutes with Belinelli in the lineup, compared to 32.4 minutes prior to Belinelli's arrival. It's a situation worth monitoring closely.

The Hawks have reportedly made everyone available ahead of the trade deadline.

Taurean Prince, Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova have garnered the most interest on the trade market, and while Dennis Schroder could be had for the right price, maturity issues and a large contract have made him less desirable on the open market. Belinelli and Ilyasova will almost assuredly be jettisoned ahead of the deadline, but it would likely take a fairly large offer to snag Prince. A trade away from Atlanta would not be ideal for Prince's rest-of-season outlook.
Feb 7 - 1:51 PM

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Kent Bazemore, Ersan Ilyasova and Marco Belinelli are all "expendable."

With the Hawks rebuilding, they are "pushing" to unload veterans in exchange for draft picks and young assets. Bazemore is owed $18.1 million in 2018-19 with a player option worth $18.1 million in 2019-20, but the Hawks may be able to find a home for him with so many teams in need of wing depth. A move would likely be a bad thing for Bazemore, as he doesn't have much competition in Atlanta and is having a career year with 12.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.8 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.6 triples.

Dennis Schroder (ankle), Marco Belinelli (Achilles) and Malcolm Delaney (ankle) will play Monday vs. Boston.

Schroder has been listed as probable in five straight games and continues to get out there, and the same goes for Belinelli, so this isn't surprising at all. Delaney will be returning from a two-game absence, which isn't great news for Isaiah Taylor. Feel free to get these guys active.

Dennis Schroder (ankle), Marco Belinelli (Achilles) and Mike Muscala (ankle) are probable to play Friday vs. the Rockets.

All three were also listed as probable for Wednesday's game, and all three played their typical allotment of minutes. The same can be expected for Friday night. Schroder scored 25 points and added six assists, three rebounds, two triples and four turnovers in 33 minutes on Wednesday. With Malcolm Delaney (ankle) doubtful, Isaiah Taylor will likely see extended playing time behind Schroder.

Dennis Schroder (ankle), Marco Belinelli (Achilles) and Mike Muscala (ankle) are probable to play Wednesday vs. Philadelphia.

Schroder hasn't looked any worse for the wear since returning from his ankle injury two games ago, Belinelli hasn't actually missed any games with the Achilles issue and Muscala figures to earn another start with Ersan Ilyasova (knee) unavailable. Basically, owners can confidently plug these guys into their lineups for a favorable matchup against Philly on Wednesday.
