While his exact schedule has yet to be announced, Todd Gilliland will compete in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menard season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Gilliland and his DGR-Crosley team ended the recent two-day pre-season test in the fifth position on the combined speed chart, turning a quick lap at 49.023 seconds/183.587 miles per hour in his No. 4 Toyota. "We're going to run a handful of ARCA races when the schedule allows it," Gilliland said. "it's a great way to get experience on some of the tracks I'll be racing on in the Trucks."

A finish for the ages, Kyle Larson looked to have his first Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire in hand, but with a furious run as the leaders worked into traffic, Christopher Bell found the hole on the low line entering turn one on the white flag lap to win his third Golden Driller in a row aboard the iRacing/Keith Kunz Motorsports No. 71w.

The victory puts Bell in an elite class with Kevin Swindell as the only two drivers to win three consecutive Chili Bowl titles. Swindell still stands as the only one to go four for four.

NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) winner Ross Chastain will pilot the No. 45 TrüNorth™ Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports during the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) season-opening event at Daytona.

Reid Wilson, who will split the No. 45 ride with Chastain, competed in three NGOTS events in 2018; at Martinsville, Iowa and Homestead-Miami with Wilson’s best finish of 16th coming at Martinsville Speedway. Prior to moving into the NGOTS, Wilson competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, where he had a 50 percent top-10 rate. NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) winner Ross Chastain will pilot the No. 45 TrüNorth™ Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports during the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.

Chastain and Reid Wilson will share the No. 45 TrüNorth™ Chevrolet Silverado during the 2019 NGOTS season. The 2018 season was a busy one for Chastain, who competed in all three of NASCAR’s major series. Chastain made 34 starts in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, 33 starts in the NXS, and seven starts in the NGOTS last season. In September, Chastain broke into the Winner’s Circle in the NXS, after putting on a dominating performance at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, winning each stage of the race and leading 180 of 200 laps.-Niece Motorsports

Spire Motorsports, through a partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR), announced today that 2010 Daytona 500 Champion Jamie McMurray will drive the No. 40 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the 2019 Daytona 500.

McMurray will be making his 17th start in the "Great American Race", when the Daytona 500 kicks-off the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) regular season on Feb. 17. McMurray’s Daytona 500 race car will carry sponsorship from several companies that have been integral to his NASCAR career. The No. 40 Chevrolet will feature branding from Bass Pro Shops, McDonald’s and Cessna to recognize the long-standing partnerships that the companies have had with McMurray over the years.-Spire Sports

David Ragan was all smiles Thursday night at the world renowned car auction house, Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Ragan joined patients from the Shiners Hospitals for Children on stage to watch the hammer drop after a final bid of $300,000 to purchase a 2018 No. 38 Shriners Hospitals for Children Ford Fusion Cup car. All of the proceeds of the bid will benefit the Shriners Hospitals. The NASCAR-sanctioned car was complete with a Ford Performance Roush Yates Racing engine that produces 750 horsepower. "I have to thank Bob Jenkins of Front Row Motorsports for donating the car and Doug Yates for donating the engine." said Ragan.-David Ragan Inc.

Fire Alarm Services (FAS), a provider in a superior fire, life safety, and security services, will serve as primary sponsor for John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 23 GMS Racing team in 13 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) races in 2019.

Since 2016, FAS has been a supporter of Nemechek. They will sponsor the following races in 2019, Daytona, Atlanta, ISM Raceway (spring and fall), Auto Club Speedway, Talladega, Charlotte Motor Speedway (spring and fall), Darlington, Indianapolis, Kansas and the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Young’s Motorsports has signed Tyler Dippel to its lineup for the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) season.

Dippel will pilot the team’s No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado, joining teammates Spencer Boyd and Gus Dean. It will be the first full-time season for Dippel in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series. The Wallkill, N.Y. native will contend for the 2019 Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors.

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Christopher Bell made it look easy on Thursday night in Tulsa, Oklahoma, taking the preliminary feature victory during the fourth qualifying round at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.

After starting in the fourth position, the Norman, Oklahoma native quickly drove the No. 71W Keith Kunz Motorsports dirt midget to the top spot to take victory in his respective eight-lap heat race. Bell’s victory locks him into Saturday night’s championship feature.

Sam Hunt Racing brings 18-year-old driver Colin Garrett aboard to pilot their No. 18 SHR Chevrolet.

Garrett, who ran twelve of the fourteen races with Hunt-Sellers Racing in 2018 – posted a season best third-place finish in his rookie season at South Boston, along with five more top 10 finishes throughout his partial season. The team hopes to run the full 2019 campaign, funding permitting. Veteran NASCAR Xfinity and K&N Crew Chief Clinton Cram will return to the No. 18 team, along with much of 2018’s team roster. This will mark Garrett’s first points run in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, this year without rookie stripes.

Hattori Racing Enterprises (HRE) will field a full-time Toyota Camry entry in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East with driver Max McLaughlin.

McLaughlin will take the first green flag of the season at New Smyrna Speedway on February 10th in the No. 1 Textron Off Road, Mohawk Northeast Inc. Camry with crew chief Robert Huffman. The 2019 season will mark McLaughlin’s first full-time season on asphalt. The son of six-time NASCAR XFINITY Series race winner, Mike McLaughlin, spent 2016-2018 competing in the Super DirtCar Series Big Block Modified tour and finished third in the driver point standings last season with eight top-five and 18 top-10 finishes.

Spencer Boyd Racing and 1A Auto Inc. announced 1A Auto’s sponsorship of NASCAR driver, Spencer Boyd, for the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Series.

1A Auto will make its debut on the Young’s Motorsports’ No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado at the NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona on February 15, 2019. The partnership will include Spencer in multiple how-to videos at 1A Auto’s research and development center, where parts are tested for quality with the company’s fleet of test vehicles. Boyd announced he is eligible to compete for Sunoco Rookie of the Year in 2019.

When Mike Wallace developed a heart issue that resulted in triple bypass surgery in April 2015, it left the veteran NASCAR driver with unfinished business in his racing career.

Nearly four years later and fully healthy, he hopes to finish some of that business. Rick Ware Racing has two NASCAR Cup charters for 2019, which means both the No. 51 and No. 52 must run every race. Ware has offered one of those rides to Wallace, but the latter has to attract more sponsorship. For now, Wallace said he and Ware have enough sponsor dollars to field the No. 52 for Atlanta, California and Las Vegas for starters.

In 1988, a 19-year driver from Shelby Township, Michigan made his series debut driving a Chrysler, of all things, at the tight quarter-mile Rockford Speedway. Some 30 years later, that bushy-haired young man is still at it in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

With 328 starts under his belt, the majority of them have come in self-owned cars, and the majority of those have been with the No. 26 emblazoned on the side. Smith has three consecutive top ten finishes in the series final championship standings, a testament to his will and determination.

Codie Rohrbaugh is anxiously awaiting the start of the 2019 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Rohrbaugh, a 25 year-old from Petersburg, West Virginia, hopes to rebound after an early-race crash eliminated him from last year's Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire. A productive two-day test at Daytona saw Rohrbaugh and work on two different No. 7 Grant County Mulch Chevrolets. He ended up 15th on the speed charts with a best lap of 181.734 miles per hour in the draft. Rohrbaugh's best finish at Daytona came in his first start in 2017 when he was 14th at the end.
