The veteran has spent his entire career - 14 seasons - with the Sharks. Though they've advanced to the postseason in 13 of them, they've has never reached the Stanley Cup, bowing out in five games to the Blues this postseason. Marleau had his worst season in four years, putting up 30 goals and 64 points and was a nonfactor in the playoffs, going pointless. What's disturbing is that Clowe apparently suffered a concussion at some point during the second half of the season. On the other end, the San Jose Sharks have a fair amount of goaltending depth and an interest in Rick Nash. Niemi would be a significant upgrade for the Blue Jackets, but his fantasy value would also probably take a hit if such a trade took place.
