Titans WR Lavelle Hawkins' new three-year deal is worth $7.2 million, and includes a $2 million signing bonus.
It's a nice haul for a player who had made just 19 catches in three seasons coming into 2011. Hawkins is still unlikely to be anything more than the Titans' No. 4 receiver in 2012, however. His fantasy value remains limited to deeper PPR leagues.

Titans re-signed WR Lavelle Hawkins to a three-year contract.
Hawkins, who turns 26 in July, finished the 2011 season with career highs in receptions (47) and yards (470), though he's averaged under 11 yards per catch in his career and with just one touchdown in four years. Hawkins should enter 2012 as the Titans' fourth receiver behind Kenny Britt, Nate Washington, and Damian Williams. The club values Hawkins because he can play all three receiver positions and contribute on special teams coverage.

Titans WR Lavelle Hawkins caught three balls for 19 yards in the team's Week 17 win over the Texans.
He wraps up the season with career highs on receptions (47) and yards (470), moving into the No. 3 receiver role after Kenny Britt's early season-ending ACL injury. Hawkins has never taken the next step toward being NFL starter-caliber, however, and is an impending free agent. The Titans will probably be interested in re-signing him at a low rate.

Coach Mike Munchak did not express concern Monday over Lavelle Hawkins' ankle injury.
Hawkins appears to be recovering well, according to Munchak. It sounds like there's a chance he could serve as the No. 3 receiver against the Texans Sunday. The Titans need a win and help to steal a Wild Card spot in the AFC playoffs.

Titans GM Ruston Webster claims Kenny Britt's second right knee surgery should only set back his recovery "a week or two."
Club officials tend to offer rose-colored injury timelines, so take this with a grain of salt. "It is not one of those things, "Wow, oh no, he is having surgery,'" Webster insisted. "It is very common ... and our goal is to have him play this year." The Titans determined Britt needed more surgery when his knee began swelling up. "My knee started swelling," Britt acknowledged. "I didn’t know it would do that and it kind of worried me. It was actually the low point of all this. But ... it kind of comes with the territory. I am still confident with the knee."

Nate Washington recently underwent surgery to repair a chipped bone in his knee.
He still "expects to be back for organized workouts" after the draft. Washington, 28, recorded career bests in catches (74), yards (1,023), and touchdowns (7) last season while moving into the No. 1 receiver role after Kenny Britt's torn ACL. Britt will be back and Damian Williams' playing time may expand, leaving Washington as a candidate to be overvalued in 2012 fantasy drafts.
