Restricted free agent Alonzo Gee is already drawing interest from the Phoenix Suns.
The Cavs have previously said that the club will look to bring him back, but he'll likely be targeting a multi-year deal after a breakout season in Cleveland. The Suns are reportedly prepared to offer Gee an annual average salary of around $4 million per season, with Minnesota and Detroit also thought to be interested in Gee as well.

Beat writer Tom Reed expects the Cavs to try to sign restricted free agent Alonzo Gee to a multi-year contract.
Gee started 31 games for the Cavs this season, averaging 11.6 points and 6.2 rebounds in that role. But on a good team, he ideally fits as an athlete off the bench.

Alonzo Gee returned to the starting lineup on Monday, scoring eight points on 3-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes.
The workload isn't encouraging whether it's due to his ankle or not, but in a three-game week he had some margin for error. Give him a look going forward as a low-end play.

Alonzo Gee will return to the starting lineup on Monday against the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies will be playing hard for playoff positioning, and the Cavs are going to be playing hard under Byron Scott's demanding leadership. Gee came off the bench following week-long absence due to an ankle injury on Sunday, scoring 10 points with five rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes. We can think of worse options to plug in, provided you're alright with the poor shooting percentage.

The Cavaliers do not plan on discouraging oft-injured Anderson Varejao from participating in the Olympics for his home country of Brazil.
Varejao never returned from a wrist injury he sustained back on February 10th, so if he ends up playing in the Olympic Games, hopefully he will be able to stay healthy for next year's NBA season. The Cavs front office will no doubt be crossing their fingers he doesn't have a setback.

Coach Byron Scott said he doesn't know if the Cavs will extend a qualifying offer to Semih Erden (ankle, doubtful) this summer.
The qualifying offer to Erden would be for roughly $1.1 million. If the Cavs don't make the offer, he'll become an unrestricted free agent. Erden flopped badly with a chance as the starting center after Anderson Varejao's injury this season, averaging just 5.0 points and 4.1 rebounds in that role.
