Blake Parker coughed up a run with two hits and a walk allowed in the ninth inning of Friday's game at Oakland, but he hung on for his first save.
On a positive note, Parker recorded two strikeouts and threw 16 of his 27 pitches for strikes, but on a negative note he needed 27 pitches to get that first save. The 32-year-old did a decent job in 2017, and as previously mentioned, he enters 2018 as the first choice in the ninth inning.
