Fernando Rodney slammed the door on the Blue Jays on Tuesday, picking up his 11th save of the season with a perfect ninth inning.

Rodney fanned two of the three hitters he faced and now boasts a spectacular 0.51 ERA and 17/3 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 17 2/3 innings this season. With as well as Rodney has pitched, he should keep the ninth-inning gig even when Kyle Farnsworth returns from his right elbow strain. May 15 - 9:54 PM

Lobaton began his rehab stint Saturday with High-A Charlotte and went 0-for-5 in two games. The 27-year-old has been on the shelf since mid-April due to right shoulder soreness. It's not clear when he'll rejoin the Rays, but he's obviously getting close. May 16
	3	Robinson Chirinos D.L. Rays transferred C Robinson Chirinos (concussion) to the 60-day disabled list. The move clears a spot for Brandon Allen on the 40-man roster. Chirinos was concussed by a foul tip late in spring training. He won't be eligible to return until May 26, though it's possible he won't have a spot on the 25-man roster if the Rays end up liking what they see from Chris Gimenez. Apr 19

	2	Brandon Allen D.L. Rays placed OF/1B Brandon Allen on the 15-day disabled list with a right quad strain. Allen has dealt with the issue for a couple weeks now and it tightened up on him while he was running to second base during Wednesday's game. The injury means that Brandon Guyer will stick around a little longer than originally expected. May 10

3B	1	Evan Longoria D.L. Rays placed 3B Evan Longoria on the 15-day disabled list with a partially torn left hamstring. Longoria will be idle for the next four weeks and could be absent from the Rays' lineup for as long as two months. The 26-year-old third baseman was batting .329/.433/.561 with four homers and 19 RBI in 23 games. May 1

LF	1	Desmond Jennings D.L. Rays placed OF Desmond Jennings on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 12, with a left knee sprain. As expected. Jennings was used as a pinch-hitter on Friday, so he will not be eligible to return until May 27. Of course, given how little progress he has made with his knee injury, he might need the extra time to get back to 100 percent. The Rays have called up Stephen Vogt in corresponding roster move. 	2	Sam Fuld D.L. Rays transferred OF Sam Fuld from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list. The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the recently-promoted Chris Gimenez. Fuld is expected to miss the 4-5 months following wrist surgery, putting his 2012 season in jeopardy. Apr 15

	5	Jeff Niemann D.L. Rays placed RHP Jeff Niemann on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured right fibula. Niemann suffered the injury when he was hit in the right leg by a comebacker during Monday's start against the Blue Jays. The early estimate is that he'll miss four to six weeks, which places his return in late June or early July. No word yet on a corresponding roster move, but the Rays figure to add a reliever for now. Wade Davis seems to have found a home in the bullpen, so Alex Cobb or Chris Archer are logical alternatives to replace Niemann in the starting rotation. May 15

	10	Matt Bush Suspended A judge in Charlotte County, Florida has reduced Matt Bush's bail from $1.015 million to $440,000. The number is still probably out of Bush's price range, considering the reports that he had only $2,000 left in his bank account when he struck a 72-year-old motorcyclist in March while drunk. The former No. 1 overall pick is facing charges of DUI, hit-and-run and property damage. He's likely done with professional baseball for good. May 3
