West Ham United youngster Declan Rice says he's ready to leave on loan next season in order to boost his hopes of becoming a Hammers legend at the London Stadium.
In the wake of a superb breakthrough campaign, Rice said he's open to a loan next season in order to gain first-team experience and cement his long-term future at the London Stadium. "Playing either in the Championship or League One has to be the aim," he told the club's official website. "It would be a perfect way to gain experience and learn. That’s definitely the aim if I can’t break into the first team on a regular basis." The Republic of Ireland youth international was named Young Hammer of the Year award after captaining the West Ham U23's side to Premier League 2 promotion via the play-offs. The 18-year-old center-back, who also made his first-team debut for Slaven Bilic's side at the end of the term, added: "Some big names have won the award before, like [Mark] Noble earlier in his career. Hopefully I can make my mark in a similar way to him." Mon, Jun 5, 2017 01:18:00 PM
