Swansea won at home for just the third time in 2017/18 with a 2-1 victory over Championship high-flyers Wolves.
A largely drab affair was lit up by one moment of quality from Jordan Ayew which led to the Swans taking an early lead. He managed to navigate a course through five Wolves defenders from outside the box, over to the left, and then across to the centre near the penalty spot before finishing calmly. He now has four goals in seven games and has shown a marked improvement since moving to the second striker role away from the left wing where he was stationed for much of the season. The Championship side came out strong after the interval and grabbed an equaliser through Diogo Jota but Bony won the battle to strike a loose ball in the box to regain the Welsh club's lead. Swansea advance to face Notts County in the next round of the FA Cup, though their priority remains securing PL survival. Jan 18 - 5:37 AM
