Jeff Skinner scored a couple of goals in Thursday’s 6-5 overtime win over the Montreal Canadiens.

With the game tied at three going into the second period, Jack Eichel fired a puck that went off the post but right to Skinner who scored his 10th goal of the season. The duo then combined again at the start of the third period, this time with Eichel pulling off an incredible faceoff win that went right to Skinner in front of the net for the goal. Skinner is having an incredible season in a contract year, finding himself at 18 points in 16 games this season.

Viktor Arvidsson scored a goal in Thursday’s 5-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Filip Forsberg forced a turnover, leading to a Ryan Ellis shot that Arvidsson scored off a rebound. It’s Arvidsson’s 10th goal in his last 10 games, bringing the 25-year-old Swedish winger to 18 goals and 25 points in as many games. He’s incredibly still on pace for 42 goals despite missing 24 games this season.

Bryan Little scored a goal in Thursday’s 5-1 win over the Nashville Predators.

Patrik Laine fired off a shot in the final minute of the second period and Little found himself at the right spot to pot home the rebound. The goal extends Little’s point streak to seven games, bringing him to 11 goals and 29 points in 47 games this season. Brendan Lemieux (x2), Brandon Tanev and Mason Appleton also scored in the win. Little is owned in just 13% of Yahoo leagues and could prove to be a sneaky good pickup moving forward.

The Minnesota Wild were shut out by a score of 3-0 on Thursday night against the Anaheim Ducks.

The Wild fell behind three goals after the opening period, never able to recover or crack John Gibson who was hot in goal for the Ducks. Zach Parise fired off a game-high 11 shots on goal in 18:36 of ice-time. Minnesota will look to bounce back on Saturday night when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Brayden Point scored a goal and assisted on another in Thursday’s 4-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Point is having an incredible contract year, becoming the youngest player (22 years, 310 days old) to reach 30 goals in a season in 48 or fewer games since teammate Steven Stamkos in 2011-12. It will be interesting to see what type of moves the Lightning will need to make with them currently projected to have just $6.376 million in cap space in 2019-20 (CapFriendly). Point is up to 62 points in 48 games, becoming the first player to reach at least 30 goals and 30 assists this season. His assist came on Victor Hedman’s third period goal.

Henrik Lundqvist allowed three goals on 27 shots in Thursday’s 4-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Lundqvist didn’t have a chance on Brandon Saad’s opening goal of the game after the puck took a wicked deflection off a Brent Seabrook blast. King Henrik was then beat by another power play goal, this time curtesy of a great shot by Alex DeBrincat before Dominik Kahun beat him with two seconds left in regulation. The Swedish netminder was able to hold onto the lead, improving his record to 14-12-7 with a 3.04 goals-against-average and a .908 save percentage. The win gives him 445 for his career, tying him with Terry Sawchuk for sixth place on the all-time wins list.

David Krejci picked up three helpers in Thursday’s 5-2 win over the St. Louis Blues.

Krejci found Krug from the corner to open the scoring 3:31 into the game before following that up with the secondary assist on David Backes’ power play marker towards the end of the second period and Sean Kuraly's empty-netter. The 32-year-old Krejci extends his point streak to five games, bringing him to 10 goals and 40 points in 48 games this season.

Robin Lehner allowed one goal on 17 shots in Thursday’s 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils.

It was a very quiet night for Lehner, looking like he would get a shutout until Andy Greene beat him through traffic midway through the final frame. The 27-year-old Swedish netminder has been incredibly hot, winning 10 of his last 11 games, improving his record to 14-7-3 with a 2.11 goals-against-average and a .928 save percentage.

Jack Campbell will be the Kings' starter on Thursday.

It's a special game for Campbell as its his first start in Dallas since the Stars took him with the 11th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. As you might imagine given his high selection, there was a time when Campbell was regarded as a big part of Dallas' future, but that never happened. Campbell instead took a long time to establish himself, but he's finally done just that in Los Angeles. He has a 2.21 GAA and .930 save percentage in 15 contests this season.

Craig Anderson (concussion) has been taken off the injured reserve list.

Ottawa also sent Marcus Hogberg to the AHL in a corresponding move. It looks like Anderson will probably serve as the backup goaltender on Friday. If all goes well, he can then start on Saturday.

The Minnesota Wild have acquired Victor Rask from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Nino Niederreiter.

Rask is in the third season of his six-year, $24 million contract. With no salary retained, the Wild are shedding $1.25 million in annual salary by exchanging Niederreiter for Rask. That said, the Wild are getting the higher risk player here. Rask has just a goal and six points in 26 contests this season. He did have 48 points in 2015-16 and 45 points in 2016-17 though, so perhaps he can bounce back with this fresh start.

The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired Nino Niederreiter from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Victor Rask.

Niederreiter is in just the second season of his five-year, $26.25 million contract, so the Hurricanes are making a long-term commitment here. That's not necessarily an issue though as Niederreiter has traditionally been a solid offensive contributor. The 26-year-old has reached the 20-goal milestone on three occasions and he set career-highs in 2016-17 with 25 goals and 57 points in 82 contests. He has nine goals and 23 points in 2018-19, but perhaps the change of scenery will give him a boost. One thing to note is that Niederreiter has never averaged more than 15:33 minutes in a single season and is averaging 14:37 minutes this season, so it'll be interesting to see if he plays a bigger role in Carolina.
