The 33-year old center has now amassed six goals and 13 points in Boston’s first six games of the 2018-19 season. It was his fifth consecutive multi-point game and has only been held off the scoresheet once so far this season. He is a must-start in all fantasy formats.

The Anaheim Ducks have signed Nick Ritchie to a three-year contract.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the deal has an average annual value of $1.533 million. Finally, this contract dispute is over. Ritchie held out of training camp and the start of the regular season because the two sides couldn't come to terms on a new contract. This was always going to be a difficult negotiation for the 22-year-old because he simply didn't have any leverage. Ritchie had 10 goals and 27 points in 76 games last season. He has a lot to prove this season.

Alex Ovechkin scored a pair of goals in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the New York Rangers.

Both goals were scored on the power play in the second period. Those goals gave Washington 2-1 and 3-2 leads at the time. On the first one, Ovechkin just threw the puck on goal and Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist clearly wasn't expecting that. The second was a classic Ovechkin one-timer from the circle. The Capitals captain finished the night with a minus-1 rating, six shots on goal and three hits in 23:28 of ice time. The 33-year-old now has six goals and three assists in six games this season. Matt Niskanen eventually scored the game-winner in overtime for Washington.

Unfortunately for the Blues, Colton Parayko's late turnover led to Brendan Gallagher's game-winner for the Canadiens. Schenn finished the night with a minus-1 rating, three shots on goal, two hits and one blocked shot in 18:30 of ice time. The 27-year-old now has three goals and three assists in six games this season. Vince Dunn also scored a power play goal for the Blues tonight.

The Blues ended up tying the game late, but Brendan Gallagher scored the go-ahead goal with under 10 seconds remaining thanks to a brutal turnover by Colton Parayko. Reilly ended up finishing the game with a plus-1 rating, one shot on goal, one hit and two blocked shots in 21:49 of ice time. The 25-year-old has been outstanding for Montreal so far this season. He has a goal and two assists in six games.

Ryan Getzlaf was not on the ice for the pregame warmups and is not going to return Wednesday night.

Getzlaf is still recovering from a groin injury and it didn't seem like he would return based on the morning skate. Injury-riddled Anaheim would love to get the star pivot back in the lineup as soon as possible.
