Sources indicate that Dallas is close to a new contract with Tyler Seguin.

TSN's Darren Dreger is reporting that the sense is that negotiations between the two sides have reached a "pivotal spot" and there's still some work to do. Seguin can become an unrestricted free agent after the 2018-19 season.

Cam Atkinson has been chosen as the first star of the week.

Atkinson compiled five goals and added three assists in three games during the period ending Nov. 18 to claim the honor. He finished the week with his fifth career hat trick. Atkinson has 12 goals and 20 points in 19 contests this year.

Ben Bishop will get the start again on Monday night when Dallas visits the New York Rangers.

Bishop was in goal for Sunday afternoon's 6-2 win over the Islanders and he will get the nod in the second half of the back-to-back situation. He has won his last two games to lift his record to 8-5-1 on the year to go with a 2.37 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.
Nov 19 - 5:12 PM

James Reimer will be between the pipes on Monday versus Ottawa.

This was a scheduled start for Reimer, who had 34 stops in a 5-1 win over the Senators on Nov. 11 in his last appearance. "We want to make sure we're using both guys," coach Bob Boughner said about the decision. Reimer has a 2-4-1 record this season with a 3.03 goals-against average and .899 save percentage.
Nov 19 - 3:37 PM

Casey DeSmith will get the call on Monday night versus Buffalo.

DeSmith has made six appearances this month, including three previous starts. He has a 1-3-0 record during that time with a 2.27 goals-against average, a .927 save percentage and one shutout. With Matt Murray struggling, DeSmith could string together some starts if he can get some victories.
Nov 19 - 3:20 PM

Tomas Hertl (lower body) thinks he will be ready to return on Tuesday night.

Hertl took part in a full practice on Monday alongside regular linemates Logan Couture and Timo Meier. He has missed the last two games due to a lower-body injury.
Nov 19 - 2:59 PM

Tuukka Rask will be in goal Wednesday against Detroit.

Rask played well in his return to the lineup this past Friday in a 1-0 OT loss to Dallas. He had been granted a leave of absence for a personal matter. Rask has a 4-4-1 record this season with a 2.78 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.
Nov 19 - 1:45 PM

Patrice Bergeron (upper body) won't be available for Wednesday's game at Detroit.

Beyond that, Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy did not have much of an update on Bergeron's status. "He was meeting [with doctors] today, so we have nothing new," Cassidy said Monday. "I know he was in a lot of pain, but I don't know if there's anything major which is good news. But I don't want to speculate. I just know that he's not coming back to Detroit."
Nov 19 - 1:31 PM

Robby Fabbri will play alongside Ryan O'Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko on Monday night.

Coach Mike Yeo likes the chemistry that O'Reilly has had with Tarasenko and hopes that Fabbri can help set up Tarasenko. Fabbri hasn't earned a point in five consecutive contests.
Nov 19 - 1:25 PM

Jaden Schwartz will be sidelined through the weekend.

Schwartz is scheduled to be re-evaluated next week. He hasn't played since Nov. 16 because of an upper-body injury and didn't skate on Monday morning.
Nov 19 - 1:16 PM

T.J. Oshie (upper body) will not play Monday night.

Oshie was not on the ice for the morning skate. Washington is off Tuesday and he has skated since he was slammed to the ice on Friday. It doesn't seem likely that Oshie will be ready to play Wednesday. He is listed as day-to-day.
Nov 19 - 12:20 PM

Evgeny Kuznetsov (upper body) will not play Monday and seems unlikely to play Wednesday.

Kuznetsov, who is suspected to be dealing with a concussion, didn't skate on Monday morning and hasn't been back on the ice yet. Washington will be off on Tuesday, so a return on Wednesday doesn't seem likely either. He is considered to be day-to-day.
