Derick Brassard (undisclosed) is good to return on Saturday.

Brassard missed two games due to the unspecified issue. He has 13 goals and 29 points in 51 contests in 2017-18.
Feb 9 - 12:52 PM

Nathan MacKinnon (shoulder) will return to the Avalanche lineup on Sunday.

MacKinnon has missed the last eight games because of a shoulder injury, but he took part in Saturday's full practice with his teammates. The Avs forward was a legitimate MVP candidate before suffering the injury, so he'll be a welcomed addition to the lineup. MacKinnon has 24 goals and 61 points in 49 games this season. All fantasy owners must insert him back into their lineup starting tomorrow.
Feb 17 - 4:29 PM

Anze Kopitar will be a healthy scratch in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

Kopitar scored two goals in 4:04 in the second period to give the Kings 2-0 and 3-0 leads at the time. He finished the game with four shots on goal and two blocked shots in 22:39 of ice time. The 30-year-old has 25 goals and 63 points in 58 games this season. The Kings forward has picked up 10 points in his last seven outings. Michael Amadio also scored a pair of goals in Los Angeles' victory.
Feb 17 - 3:34 PM

Nathan MacKinnon (shoulder) is back at practice on Saturday.

He's also wearing a regular jersey, which would indicate that he's closing in on a return. MacKinnon has missed each of Colorado's last eight games. The Avalanche have him listed as "questionable" for Sunday's game against the Edmonton Oilers. He has 24 goals and 61 points in 49 games this season. Whenever he returns, he'll be a must-start in all fantasy formats.
Feb 17 - 3:24 PM

Ryan Kesler (lower body) won't play in Saturday's game against the Minnesota Wild.

Kesler clearly hasn't been himself on the ice, so the Ducks have decided to shut him down for this game. He has six goals and two assists in 22 games this season. Kesler is considered day-to-day for now.
Feb 17 - 1:56 PM

Mike Smith skated before his teammates practiced on Saturday.

That's a good sign considering it looked as if Smith sustained a rather serious groin injury last Sunday. It appears that the groin muscle strain is more on the mild side and that Smith may only need a week more to recover. Stay tuned for further updates.
Feb 17 - 1:40 PM

Mike Green (upper body) won't play in Saturday's game against the Nashville Predators.

Green is considered day-to-day at this point. He has six goals and 29 points in 56 games this season. With the trade deadline approaching, the Wings need to get him healthy as soon as possible.
Feb 17 - 1:37 PM

Juuse Saros is expected to get the start in Saturday's game against the Detroit Red Wings.

He was in the starter's crease during the morning skate, which would indicate that he'll be the one playing tonight. Saros has dropped each of his last three games (two in overtime). He has a 5-4-5 record with a 2.44 goals-against-average and a .924 save percentage this season.
Feb 17 - 12:35 PM

Eddie Lack will be between the pipes for Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Lighting.

He has a 1-3-0 record with a 4.55 goals-against-average and a .833 save percentage this season. Lack hasn't won a game since Nov. 13.
Feb 17 - 12:18 PM

Brayden Schenn scored a power play goal in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Dallas Stars.

Schenn finally got the Blues on the board at the 18:46 mark of the third period to cut the deficit to 2-1. Obviously, that's as close as the Blues would come to tying the game. The 26-year-old now has 24 goals and 55 points in 60 games this season. eight of his 24 goals have been scored on the man-advantage. Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko registered the assists on St. Louis' only goal.
Feb 16 - 11:16 PM

Mattias Janmark scored a goal in Friday's 2-1 win over the St. Louis Blues.

Janmark's power play tally at the 2:42 mark of the second period gave the Stars a 1-0 lead at the time. After missing all of last season because of an injury, the Stars forward has put together a solid season in 2017-18. He's now up to 16 goals and 30 points in 58 games this year. Janmark has been a solid player for Dallas, but he shouldn't pop up on your fantasy radar. Stephen Johns ended up scoring the game-winning goal in the third frame.
Feb 16 - 11:14 PM

Thomas Greiss turned aside all 45 shots he faced in Friday's 3-0 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

10 of Greiss' saves came while the Islanders were shorthanded. The shutout was his first of the season. It's also the first time in five games that Greiss holds the opposition to less than four goals. The win improves the Islanders netminders record to 11-7-2 with a 3.84 goals-against-average and a .892 save percentage this season. His fantasy value is limited because Jaroslav Halak appears to be the starting goaltender in Brooklyn for now.
