Rau has 11 goals and 21 points in 36 AHL games this season. He hasn't played in the NHL yet in 2017-18, but over his career the 25-year-old has two goals and three points in 33 contests.

Seth Jones (knee) skated "very well today," per coach John Tortorella.

Jones had been skating on his own for the last two days with assistant coach Kenny McCudden. Tortorella thinks that Jones could be back on the early side of his four-to-six week timetable. The talented defender hasn't played yet this season due to a knee injury.

Ryan Getzlaf (groin) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Getzlaf appeared to be very close following Tuesday's practice, but he might get one game off to rest. He was apparently on the ice for a long time Wednesday morning.

Thomas Greiss will get the call on Wednesday night against Anaheim.

Greiss surrendered four goals on 23 shots to Nashville in a 4-3 loss on Oct. 6 in his last appearance. He has posted a 1-1-0 record this season with a 2.52 goals-against average and .928 save percentage.

Logan Couture has declared himself good to go.

Couture appeared to be hurt at Tuesday's practice after he collided with Rourke Chartier, but he was back on the ice Wednesday without any issues. He should be expected to play on Thursday night.

Ryan Callahan (shoulder) is ahead of schedule in his recovery.

Coach Jon Cooper said that Callahan might be available to return during the team's upcoming road trip, which begins on Saturday at Minnesota. He wasn't expected to be ready to play until November.

Crawford said a final decision will be made Thursday morning, but the plan remains for him to get the nod against Arizona.

Jaden Schwartz (lower body) will play on Wednesday night.

Schwartz appeared to be good to go based on Tuesday's practice. He was back alongside Brayden Schenn and David Perron during the session. Schwartz also worked on the second power-play unit. He missed two games due to a lower-body injury.

Anaheim has signed Jake Dotchin to a one-year contract.

Dotchin has been placed on waivers and if he clears Thursday at 12:00 p.m. EST then he can join the Ducks. His contract was terminated by Tampa Bay after he showed up for training camp in poor condition. The Lightning called it a "material breach" and there were reports about him being grossly overweight.

Brady Tkachuk will be out about a month because of a torn ligament in his leg.

This is a big blow to the Senators, as Tkachuk had quickly established himself as a key part of team's offense. He has three goals and three assists in four games this season.

Carey Price will return to the crease for Wednesday's game against St. Louis.

Price didn't play on Saturday because he was feeling under the weather. He sat on the bench Monday even though he was healthy. Antti Niemi won both of those starts against Pittsburgh and Detroit. Price has a 1-1-1 record this campaign with a 2.32 goals-against average and .909 save percentage.

Nathan MacKinnon stretched his goal streak to six straight games on Tuesday night.

MacKinnon became the first player in Quebec/Colorado franchise history to score at least one goal in the first six games of a season. He has amassed seven goals during that span and he has added one assist.
