Elias Pettersson (knee) hopes to play Sunday against Detroit.

Pettersson will see how he feels in the morning and then talk it over with the medical staff. He has missed the last five games because of a slight sprain in his MCL. It's a 4:00 p.m. ET start time for Sunday's match and we'll keep you posted.
Jan 19 - 5:41 PM

Colin Miller (upper body) has been activated from injured reserve.

Miller was listed as a game-time decision earlier, but it seems like he will be back in the lineup due to this transaction. The Golden Knights moved Malcolm Subban to injured reserve in a corresponding move.
Jan 19 - 5:31 PM

Mikko Rantanen suffered a lower-body injury in Saturday's game against Los Angeles.

The Avalanche announced that Rantanen won't be able to return. He had two goals in 13:30 of ice time prior to his exit.
Jan 19 - 5:26 PM

Erik Johnson suffered an upper-body injury during Saturday's game.

Johnson logged just 2:01 minutes of ice time. He has been ruled out for the rest of the contest.
Jan 19 - 4:03 PM

David Rittich will start for the Flames on Saturday.

Rittich will try to bounce back after allowing four goals on 23 shots on Wednesday. He has a 17-4-4 record, 2.50 GAA, and .917 save percentage in 28 contests in 2018-19.
Jan 19 - 3:04 PM

Colin Miller (upper body) is a game-time decision on Saturday.

Miller has been out for a little over a month. He has two goals and 17 points in 36 contests in 2018-19.
Jan 19 - 2:24 PM

Sergei Bobrovsky will start for Columbus on Saturday.

Bobrovsky is going into this game with something to prove given his recent struggles and one-game team-issued suspension. That's corresponded with Joonas Korpisalo stepping up and starting in four of the Blue Jackets' last five games. If Bobrovsky puts out a solid performance in this game though, it would go a long way towards reasserting himself as the team's starter.
Jan 19 - 12:40 PM

Jordan Binnington is expected to start on Saturday.

Binnington stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Islanders on Tuesday. He has a 3-0-1 record, 1.55 GAA, and .937 save percentage in six contests.
Jan 19 - 12:25 PM

David Perron is dealing with an upper-body injury.

Perron will miss Saturday's contest as a result. He has 17 goals and 35 points in 45 contests this season. With Perron unavailable, Pat Maroon, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Ryan O'Reilly are projected to form the top line. As for Perron, it's not yet clear how serious his injury is, so we're listing him as day-to-day for now.
Jan 19 - 12:22 PM

Ondrej Kase (upper body) has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Kase will miss Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday's games as a result. That brings the Ducks to the All-Star break and their first game after it will be on Feb. 2. He has 11 goals and 30 points in 30 contests.
Jan 19 - 12:07 PM

Phil Kessel picked up the game-winning tally in overtime Friday night against the Arizona Coyotes.

Kessel has picked up two goals with five points on the four-game road trip, including a pair of game-winning tallies. It hasn't been all great, however, as he has a minus-6 rating during the span, and he is even or negative in the category in all eight of his games in the month of January. Next up is a battle against the Golden Knights in Vegas on Saturday. He had a hat trick in the first battle with the Knights back on Oct. 11 in the Steel City.
Jan 19 - 2:04 AM

Sam Bennett picked up a pair of power-play goals with an assist in his 11:31 of ice time in Friday's 6-4 home victory against the Red Wings.

Bennett's second power-play marker stood up as the game-winning tally. The game winner was his first of the season, and he has managed nine goals with 19 points overall. He has enjoying his hottest stretch of the season, posting three goals with six points over the past seven outings. While he is still only worth using in the deepest of fantasy pools, he is a nice low-cost DFS option while running hot.
