Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti was adamant in his support of Joe Flacco at Friday's press conference.

That's in contrast to GM Ozzie Newsome -- whom Bisciotti announced will step down in 2019 -- and coach John Harbaugh, whose firing Bisciotti said was "considered" after another disappointing season. When asked about replacing Flacco, Bisciotti replied, "We have bigger fish to fry" and "repeatedly backed" Flacco as the Ravens' quarterback whenever the topic came up. Bisciotti noted Flacco's 2017 back injury "several times" to explain his ineffectiveness. Flacco's yards-per-attempt averages have dipped precipitously in the last four years (7.2 > 6.1 > 6.0 > 5.3). Beat writer Jeff Zrebiec suggested Bisciotti's support for Flacco likely means the Ravens won't draft a quarterback with their first-round pick.

Carson Wentz (knee) remained noncommittal Monday when asked about his status for Week 1 against the Falcons.

"It's gonna' be close," he admitted. Wentz said the same when asked about his status last week. The third-year QB has resumed 11-on-11 work but won't be on the field for Thursday's dress rehearsal against the Browns. If Wentz isn't ready, the Eagles would turn to Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles in Week 1. Foles returned to practice on Sunday after hurting his shoulder against New England on Thursday night.

According to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders "plan to make a run" at free agent S George Iloka.

Iloka has an obvious link to Oakland as the Raiders employ ex-Bengals DC Paul Guenther. Joining Oakland would also allow Iloka to reunite with former teammate Reggie Nelson. The 28-year-old was cut by Cincinnati on Sunday after being beaten out by second-round rookie Jessie Bates at Bengals training camp.

Vikings released K Kai Forbath.

In addition to cutting Forbath, the Vikes also waived/injured T Cedric Lang, TE Josiah Price and FB Johnny Stanton while stashing sixth-round DE Ade Aruna on I.R. with a knee injury. Forbath could probably see the writing on the wall after Minnesota invested a fifth-round pick on Auburn alum Daniel Carlson. The 30-year-old definitely didn't help himself by shanking a 41-yarder in Saturday's preseason game against Jacksonville. With Forbath gone, Carlson can be safely penciled in as the starter.

Kenny Golladay played over Golden Tate in two-wide sets during Friday night's preseason game against the Giants.

The Lions ran seven two-wide sets with the starters on Friday (eight if you include a false start penalty by tight end Michael Roberts) with Golladay lined up opposite Marvin Jones on every snap. Coach Matt Patricia downplayed the significance of Golladay playing over Tate after the game. "We're just trying to get the play counts out there and we're going in and out of different personal groups, so we have it kind of sketched out that way." The Lions used two-wide personnel on less than 20 percent of their snaps last year, so even if Golladay starts outside, Tate will still get plenty of slot reps. Regardless, all signs point to a second-year breakout for Golladay, who was limited to 11 games as a rookie in 2017.

Eagles activated DE Brandon Graham from the active/PUP list.

Graham had offseason surgery to address a high-ankle sprain he suffered late last season. The 30-year-old will resume practicing on Monday in hopes of being ready for Week 1 against the Falcons, which is just over two weeks away. His strip sack of Tom Brady in last year's Super Bowl clinched the Eagles' first title.

When asked if Peyton Barber has played like a starter this summer, Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter said yes.

Most expected second-round rookie Ronald Jones to emerge as Tampa Bay's starter but instead Barber has run circles around Jones through the first month of camp. "He's doing everything he should be doing right now and I think if we went out there and gave it to Peyton 20 times, we'd like what he does," said Koetter. Barber believes he can be an "every-down back," though he was also complimentary of Jones and his development. "I think I can see us as that one-two punch, just how the Saints do it with Alvin [Kamara] and Mark ([Ingram]." Barring injury, Barber should be the lead back when the Bucs travel to New Orleans for Week 1.

According to Calvin Watkins of The Athletic, Cowboys RG Zack Martin (knee) is expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Panthers.

Martin injured himself during Saturday's preseason action but escaped with just a bone bruise and a hyperextended left knee. It's doubtful we'll see Martin appear in any more preseason games, though the All-Pro guard looks to be on track for Week 1 at Carolina. That's good news for Ezekiel Elliott.

Bills first-round QB Josh Allen will work with the starters at Monday's practice.

Nathan Peterman will practice with the 2s. With free-agent signing A.J. McCarron nursing a collarbone injury, this could be the opening Allen needs to cement his status as the Bills' Week 1 starter. The Wyoming product has fared reasonably well during the preseason, completing 18-of-32 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns over two contests. He's the heavy favorite to start Buffalo's season opener at Baltimore in three weeks.

LeSean McCoy (groin) won't practice on Monday.

McCoy is nursing a sore groin. The injury isn't a major concern, though obviously it's something for fantasy owners to monitor with drafts coming up. Shady went for 10 yards on five total touches Friday in his preseason debut at Cleveland.

Browns CB E.J. Gaines will miss about three weeks with a sprained right knee.

Gaines was carted off at Sunday's practice after injuring himself on a play where he was defending Jarvis Landry. His MRI revealed a strain, which is relatively good news considering how bad the injury looked at first. Gaines probably won't be ready for Cleveland's opener in Week 1, but he should be back shortly after.

49ers RB Joe Williams is out until at least Week 1 with a fractured rib.

He suffered the injury in San Francisco's second preseason game. On Sunday, coach Kyle Shanahan left open the possibility Williams would go on injured reserve, where he also spent his entire rookie year. Before the injury, Williams was getting outplayed by Raheem Mostert and Jeremy McNichols, among others. We suspect the ship has already sailed on Williams succeeding for the Niners.
