Derek Carr said he wants new coach Jon Gruden "to be tough" on him.

Gruden has said he will "demand more" from his quarterback moving forward, and it sounds like Carr is fine with that. "I hope that he demands of me. I hope he’s hard on me," Carr said. "Let’s go fix problems that I have and let’s do what I need to do to win championships." Carr has plenty of problems to fix coming off a down season, but he has shown in the past he can be a quality quarterback. His willingness to accept criticism and work with Gruden is a good sign he will get back to that level again.

The Miami Herald believes the "smart money" is on Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) returning for Week 12.

Tannehill did an extensive amount of throwing during Tuesday's practice. Coach Adam Gase is expected to update his status Tuesday afternoon. Brock Osweiler has predictably gone all the way off the rails in Tannehill's absence. Tannehill will be returning to an injury-depleted supporting cast but will still be a sizable upgrade.

Chiefs SS Eric Berry (heel) is feeling "quite a bit better."

"We'll see how this next week goes for him," coach Andy Reid said of the Chiefs' Week 12 bye. The former All-Pro has yet to play this season after tearing his Achilles' tendon in 2017. In theory, he would provide quite a boost for the Chiefs' beleaguered defense, but it's unclear what they could expect from the 30-year-old at this juncture.

Bears coach Matt Nagy said Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) is "day to day."

ESPN's Adam Schefter just reported the Bears are "optimistic" Trubisky will play on Thanksgiving, but Nagy did not sound as sunny during his press conference. While he ruled out a long-term injury, the coach said Trubisky is "in pain" and unlikely to practice on Tuesday. Trubisky looks legitimately questionable at this point. Chase Daniel is the backup in Chicago.

Eagles OC Mike Groh said incorporating Golden Tate into the offense has been difficult.

Despite a bye week following the trade, Tate's career in Philadelphia has started off slowly. He did see a big bump in playing time against the Saints, however, and ended up leading the team in targets (8), catches (5), and yards (48). Even so, this trade is looking like a mistake, especially with the Eagles falling out of the playoff race.

The Dallas Morning News' Brandon George reports Michael Gallup plans to play on Thanksgiving.

Informed of his brother's suicide after the Cowboys' win on Sunday, Gallup stayed in Atlanta to be with his family, and he has yet to rejoin the team. Not a soul would question Gallup if he decided to sit out Thursday's game, but the rookie will apparently suit up.

Sam Darnold said his injured foot "feels great."

Darnold did not practice Monday, but he was not wearing a boot as he watched from the sidelines. "The foot is really good," said Darnold. "I feel really good. Like I said last week, I'm just following protocol right now." Coach Todd Bowles offered a non-answer when asked about Darnold on Monday, but it sounds like he at least has a shot to suit up. He likely needs to return to practice on Wednesday to make that happen.

Chris Conley caught 7-of-8 targets for 74 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs' 54-51, Week 11 loss to the Rams on Monday night.

Sammy Watkins (foot) was active through a questionable tag and made the start, but he didn't play after the opening series, and Conley was thrust into an every-down role. He made it count in the shootout of the ages. It was a big night for Conley obviously, but he won't be on the fantasy radar in Week 13 after the bye if/when Watkins is back to 100 percent, which is the expectation.
Nov 20 - 12:53 AM

Sammy Watkins caught his lone target for four yards in the Chiefs' 54-51, Week 11 loss to the Rams on Monday night.

Watkins was active despite being listed questionable with a foot injury; he made the start and caught Patrick Mahomes' first pass before then disappearing to the sideline the rest of the game. He stayed there in uniform, so we're not sure it was an aggravation. But it looked like Watkins wasn't anywhere close to full health and may have only gotten the token start against his former teammates. He was a high-risk fantasy play. Watkins will now get the Week 12 bye to get right before likely being out there for normal snaps Week 13 at Oakland.
Nov 20 - 12:40 AM

Kareem Hunt rushed 14 times for 70 yards and caught 3-of-4 targets for 41 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' 54-51, Week 11 loss to the Rams.

The running backs were afterthoughts for the most part in this high-flying shootout that saw the teams combine for 1,001 yards and 14 touchdowns. Hunt scored his on a 21-yard catch-and-run, but this game quickly turned into a haymaker-for-haymaker slobber-knocker via the air. Hunt was still able to get "his", while Todd Gurley mustered just 94 scoreless yards on the other side. Hunt will get a Week 12 breather before taking on the hapless Raiders in Week 13.
Nov 20 - 12:36 AM

Brandin Cooks caught 8-of-12 targets for 107 yards in the Rams' 54-51, Week 11 win over the Chiefs on Monday night.

Cooks' 12 targets led the team in the first game without Cooper Kupp (knee), while Robert Woods had 11 looks and scored a touchdown. The only thing missing from Cooks' line was a trip to the end zone, but the Rams were getting the ball in his hands deep down the field and also close to the line of scrimmage, allowing him to showcase his speed. He had one pass knocked out of his hands on what would have been a 45-yard completion, and Jared Goff also short-hopped him on two deep middle crosses, so Cooks could have had a much bigger night. Still, he's topped 100 yards in three-straight games and gets the bye before a Week 13 date at the Lions.
Nov 20 - 12:32 AM

Travis Kelce caught 10-of-15 targets for 127 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' 54-51, Week 11 loss to the Rams on Monday night.

The crazy thing was Kelce was stuck on one catch for three yards on three targets before the final drive of the second quarter where he picked up three-straight catches to set up an eventual sort Chris Conley eight-yard touchdown. Kelce's 15 targets ended up being a game-high, and he found the end zone as well, scoring from four yards out in the third quarter to tie the game 30-30. Kelce was wrecking the Rams over the middle but also had a couple untimely drops. The Chiefs head into their bye before going to Oakland in Week 13. Kelce is THE TE1.
