Bills signed WR Rod Streater to a reserve/future contract.

Streater spent last offseason with the Bills but injured his leg in the second preseason game and received an injury settlement. He'll try to stay healthy this time around and compete for one of the final 53-man spots.

ESPN's Nick Wagoner reports Marquise Goodwin is "clearly Jimmy Garoppolo's favorite target."

This has been the consistent report out of 49ers camp all August, and it certainly looked that way in limited snaps in the preseason opener. Although Pierre Garcon could develop better rapport with Garoppolo as the month goes on, Goodwin looks like the receiver to roster.

ESPN's Jeff Legwold believes Royce Freeman will be the Broncos' "primary back before too long."

"Now, that might not mean 250 carries," Legwold cautions, "but he's going to get work and already blocks well enough to play on third down and in some of the open formations. And he'll get red zone chances, too." Freeman certainly caught the eye of fantasy players with 38 yards and a touchdown in the preseason opener. Already going in the fourth round, it is possible Freeman is being drafted near his ceiling with Devontae Booker likely to steal touches, but that could change if the rookie has more strong outings this preseason.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said he is "not sure" where reports about Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) beginning the season on the PUP came from.

Pederson originally said he would not comment on the report, but then he changed his mind. "You know what, I'm not going to comment on that because we're monitoring his progress, it's day-to-day, we're happy where he's at, and we'll continue to do that." Jeffery's Week 1 availability cannot be taken for granted, but it does not sound like he will spend the first six weeks on the PUP.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Carson Wentz (knee) will need a week of 11-on-11 work to be ready for Week 1.

Wentz did see work during 11-on-11s early in camp, but the Eagles have since backed him off. On Tuesday during a radio interview, the quarterback said "it's going to be close" when asked about his availability for Week 1, but after practice, he said he hopes to return to 11-on-11 work next week. If that happens, he should be good to go for Week 1.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Nelson Agholor is sidelined with a lower-body injury.

Pederson said they are just resting Agholor to have him ready for Week 1, suggesting the injury is not serious. With Alshon Jeffery's (shoulder) status uncertain, Agholor could have a bigger early-season role than expected.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Nick Foles (neck) will play in the second preseason game.

Foles sat out some time with spasms in his traps and neck, but the injury was never considered serious. With Carson Wentz (knee) a question for Week 1, Foles could open the season as the starter.

The Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad reports DeVante Parker is out with a broken finger.

Schad reports the team is "hopeful" he will be ready for Week 1, but coach Adam Gase would not go that far in his press conference. This is a big blow for a player who was reportedly struggling in camp prior to the injury. With Parker and Kenny Stills (ankle) both sidelined, Albert Wilson should get every opportunity to climb the depth chart.

Dolphins rookie RB Kalen Ballage is in the concussion protocol.

This is his first concussion in the NFL. Ballage was having a rough go even before the injury, committing a fumble in the preseason opener and getting kicked out of the huddle by Ryan Tannehill in practice, and now he will miss at least one preseason game. Ballage will likely spend his rookie season behind Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore on the depth chart.

Saquon Barkley (hamstring) is working to the side of Tuesday's practice.

Barkley suffered a "mild strain" late in Monday's practice. He got in some work during individual drills, but he was off to the side with trainers during Tuesday's session. Coach Pat Shurmur promised to be "smart" with their star running back, and it looks like what is happening. There is no reason to worry about his Week 1 availability.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said John Brown "has been better than we expected."

Brown has earned daily praise for his work to this point in camp, and Joe Flacco credited the receiver for his renewed success throwing down the field. Health will remain a question for Brown, but it has become clear he will be a fantasy factor if he can stay on the field. He is a great late-round flier.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette's Ryan Wood writes Geronimo Allison "has quietly established himself as the team’s No. 3 receiver."

"He is always in the right place," Wood continues, "and his combination of size (6-3) and sure hands make him a reliable target." With Randall Cobb out, Allison worked as the No. 2 in the preseason opener, well ahead of the trio of rookies seemingly drafted to replace him. In good shape to win the No. 3 job in an Aaron Rodgers offense, Allison is worth drafting in deeper formats.
