Texans placed QB Tom Savage (concussion) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Nick Martin and MyCole Pruitt will join him on I.R. This was the expected outcome for Savage, who suffered a concussion against the Niners in Week 14. T.J. Yates will finish out the year at quarterback for Houston. There's a strong likelihood that Savage, who is headed for free agency this offseason, has played his final game as a Texan.

Brandon LaFell is "feared" to have suffered a ruptured Achilles' tendon in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

LaFell skied for a jump ball win in the third quarter but immediately came down hobbled. It's a huge loss for a team already missing Martavis Bryant and Jordy Nelson. LaFell had caught two passes for 29 yards before going down, finding the end zone for a five-yard score where he beat Patrick Peterson. LaFell is headed for an MRI.

Demaryius Thomas was held catch-less in Week 11 against Washington.

He drew one target and has not so much as caught a pass since the first quarter of Week 9 against Denver. Keke Coutee returned from his hamstring injury for nine targets in Sunday's win. As a complementary receiver on a run-first team, Thomas will be difficult to trust as a fantasy starter going forward.
Nov 18 - 6:02 PM

Deshaun Watson completed 16-of-24 passes for 208 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in Houston's Week 11 win over Washington.

The Texans won their seventh straight game despite a rough day for Watson, who managed seven yards on three rushing attempts and failed to engineer a sustained passing game. Houston plays its next game on Monday Night Football against the Titans, who got shredded by Andrew Luck on Sunday but have otherwise played stout pass defense this year. On lowered volume with the Texans leaning on their defense for wins, Watson will be a mid-range to low-end QB1 play.
Nov 18 - 5:37 PM

Adrian Peterson rushed 16 times for 51 yards and two touchdowns in Washington's Week 11 loss to Houston.

The scores saved his fantasy day because Peterson's rushing impact was otherwise minimal and he didn't draw a single passing-game target. The downgrade from Alex Smith to Colt McCoy isn't as major as it'll be made out to be, and Washington's run-first approach won't be changing. Peterson will remain a volume-based, touchdown-reliant RB2 on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys.
Nov 18 - 5:29 PM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Kerryon Johnson suffered a knee sprain in Week 11 against the Panthers.

He'll have an MRI on Monday to confirm the injury. It's not terrible news, but Johnson could still miss multiple games if he's dealing with MCL damage. With Detroit playing on thanksgiving, Johnson is almost certainly out for Week 12. The Lions will go with a committee of LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick in his place.
Nov 18 - 5:26 PM

D.J. Moore hauled in 7-of-8 targets for 157 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' Week 11 loss to the Lions.

Moore came out of the gates hot, catching two passes for 42 yards on the opening drive. He looked to be headed into the end zone on the second of those catches, but he was pulled down from behind inside the five. He did even better in the second half. With the Panthers facing a third-and-long deep in their own territory, Moore went up high along the sideline to pull in a pass and sprinted down the field for an 82-yard gain before being chased down. It is the third-longest play from scrimmage in the NFL the season and the longest non-scoring play so far. Moore finally found the end zone with a toe-tapping catch late in the fourth quarter to seemingly tie the game, but the Panthers made the questionable decision to go for two. Moore now has two big games sandwiched around two lackluster outings. Likely to be up-and-down all season, Moore will be a risk-reward FLEX play against the Seahawks.
Nov 18 - 4:57 PM

Mike Evans hauled in 6-of-7 targets for 120 yards and one touchdown in the Bucs' near-comeback loss to the Giants.

Evans was well on his way to another disappointing afternoon before Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched in the second half. Jameis Winston came in and promptly peppered Evans with targets, including a 41-yard touchdown bomb that sailed over the watchful eye of CB Janoris Jenkins. He had caught just 4-of-16 targets for a lowly total of 67 yards in his previous two performances, so this outing was needed for both Evans and his owners. He'll have an extremely tough matchup on paper against the Niners and Richard Sherman in Week 12, but can't possibly be benched whether it's Winston or Fitzpatrick under center throwing to him.
Nov 18 - 4:54 PM

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said after Sunday's win that Joe Flacco (hip) is not expected back for Week 12.

"It will be tough," Habaugh conceded. The Ravens fielded a dominant Week 11 rushing attack with Lamar Jackson under center, and Jackson now appears set up to make at least one more start. Jackson will run into a cupcake draw against the Raiders, who field the slowest defense in all of football.
Nov 18 - 4:41 PM

Alex Smith is done for the season with a fractured fibula and tibia.

The compound leg fracture occurred in the third quarter of Week 11's loss to Houston. Colt McCoy will close out the year as Washington's starting quarterback. Previously, McCoy and Smith were the only two signal callers on the Redskins' roster. Smith, who turns 35 next May, will have a long road back from this gruesome injury. It's fair to wonder whether he'll be ready for Week 1 in 2019.
Nov 18 - 4:39 PM

Ty Montgomery did not touch the ball in his Week 11 Ravens debut.

Buck Allen got one touch. The Ravens took an extremely run-heavy approach and wound up settling on undrafted rookie Gus Edwards as their lead back. Montgomery is unlikely to develop into a fantasy option down the stretch.
Nov 18 - 4:29 PM

Peyton Barber rushed 18 times for 106 yards and one touchdown in the Bucs' Week 11 loss to the Giants.

He nearly scored a second touchdown on the goal line, but fumbled it forward into the cradling arms of Mike Evans. The Giants had actually been stout in the trenches despite trading away run-stuffing NT Damon Harrison at the deadline, so this outing is a bit of a shock. His 18 carries without rookie Ronald Jones (hamstring) available were certainly encouraging. Whether it's Jameis Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick under center in Week 12, consider Barber a usage-based touchdown-dependent RB3/FLEX against San Francisco's front-seven.
