Marco Belinelli scored a season-high 24 points (8-of-10 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) against the Thunder, adding one assist and four 3-pointers in 22 minutes on Saturday.

Belinelli enjoyed this home-and-home set with Oklahoma City, posting a season-high in points in consecutive games. He's playing low-20s minutes off the bench as a shooting specialist and is averaging 2.6 triples over his last five games. With Rudy Gay (wrist) out right now, Belinelli is an interesting add for 3-pointers.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander matched his career-high of 24 points in a 112-94 loss to the Clippers, adding five assists, three rebounds, three steals and two turnovers in 43 minutes.

What a way to break through the rookie wall. Not only was he a stud offensively (7-of-17 FGs, 10-of-10 FTs), SGA was also a big reason why Klay Thompson was held in check. The Clippers will be without Lou Williams (hamstring) for at least the next two games and Danilo Gallinari (back) left this game early, so SGA will be asked to do a lot more on offense -- he had a 22.2 usage rate tonight compared to his season average of 17.1. He's worth picking up with one more game this weekend and four games next week.

Lou Williams (sore right hamstring) will miss at least two more games according to coach Doc Rivers.

This isn't the same hamstring he had an issue with earlier this season, but the Clippers are going to play it safe and make sure he's 100 percent before returning. He should be held in all fantasy leagues, and in the meantime Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be a popular pickup after he matched his career-high of 24 points vs. the Warriors on Friday. Based on Rivers' comments, the earliest Williams could possibly return is on Wednesday vs. the Heat.

Anthony Davis underwent an X-Ray on his left hand after the game on Friday against the Blazers.

Davis appeared to hurt a finger or two on his left hand in the fourth quarter. He briefly left the game to have them tapped up, which is common with injured fingers. The results of the scan won't be known until Saturday. If AD were to miss any time, Julius Randle and Nikola Mirotic would stand to gain a good amount of usage.
Jan 19 - 1:28 AM

Damian Lillard made 8-of-20 shots for 24 points with five rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.

Lillard wasn't particularly efficient, but he still dropped 20+ for the fifth straight game. He's been battling a few different ailments over the last week or so, but continues to play through anything and everything. Part of the reason why Dame is so valuable is because of his durability. He'll have two days to rest up before Monday's game against the Jazz.

DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) made his long-awaited Warriors' debut in a win over the Clippers on Friday, scoring 14 points (5-of-11 FGs) with six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three triples before fouling out in 14 minutes.

Fouls aside, his debut was a massive success. Boogie's first basket was a monster jam off a feed from KD, and the Clippers made a mistake sagging off him on the perimeter -- his 3-point shot was his primary focus during his rehab. Perhaps the biggest takeaway is that Boogie was getting up and down remarkably well, and that's going to be crucial for Golden State's style of play. "I'm pretty sure our guys aren't going to slow down," coach Steve Kerr said before the game "We're still going to throw the ball ahead." DMC said he felt "great" and it's going to be fun watching his role develop over the next few weeks (they staggered Boogie with the second unit quite often which will be great for his value). If you've been stashing Boogie all season, your patience looks like it will pay off.
Jan 19 - 1:10 AM

Danilo Gallinari (back spasms) will not return on Friday vs. the Warriors.

That's brutal timing with Lou Williams (hamstring) out tonight. The Clippers immediately went with a super small lineup with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander alongside Patrick Beverley and Avery Bradley, so fantasy owners should keep an eye on those first two guys (SGA and Pat-Bev). Tyrone Wallace and Mike Scott could also benefit, but aren't on the standard-league radar. Gallo has obviously been prone to injuries throughout his career including some chronic back issues, but only had one DNP entering this game. Hopefully it's nothing serious and his owners should be on the lookout for an update.

Rudy Gobert was a monster against the Cavaliers on Friday, scoring 19 points (8-of-10 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs) with 15 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals in 27 minutes.

Gobert tied Joel Embiid for the league lead in double-doubles with his effort in this one, as both are now sitting at 38 on the season. He continues to score at a career-best rate and is surprisingly over the 2.0 assist per game mark for the first time in his career. Including tonight, he’s blocked multiple shots in five straight games, which is the fourth time he’s done so this season. Gobert is one of the best centers in fantasy basketball.

Updating a previous report, Kenneth Faried will be waived by the Nets and will join the Houston Rockets.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Faried will be officially waived on Saturday and will be cleared to join Houston on Monday. Woj adds that Faried is "expected to move into the Rockets lineup with significant minutes immediately," making him an intriguing short-term pickup in fantasy leagues with Clint Capela (thumb) likely out until the All-Star break. Faried averaged 17.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in his only two games with 20+ minutes with the Nets this season, but was buried on the bench in pretty much every other game. He should be a solid source of points, boards and FG% with a handful of defensive stats, but he is a career 65.4% shooter from the line.
Jan 18 - 11:33 PM

Donovan Mitchell kept it rolling on Friday, scoring 24 points (9-of-15 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs) with two rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Cavaliers.

Mitchell scored 20 or more points for the eighth straight game, which is his longest such streak of the season. He’s been excelling with Ricky Rubio (hamstring) out of the lineup. Over the previous five games prior to this one, all with Rubio unavailable, he’s averaging 31.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.0 triples on a sterling 50% shooting. This stretch has seen Mitchell post top-20 value in 9-category leagues. The next step will be for him to continue with this level of production when Rubio returns.
Jan 18 - 11:28 PM

Hassan Whiteside played 19 minutes vs. the Pistons on Friday with eight points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.

He had an awful night from the foul line (0-of-8), bumping his season average down to 42.9%. Whiteside is sitting outside of the top-100 of standard category leagues for that reason, but he jumps all the way up into the top-25 for punt-FT builds. Bam Adebayo had it going and the Heat opted for a smaller lineup with Andre Drummond (nasal injury) leaving the game early, so if you combine that with his struggles from the line it's easy to see why he was pulled so early. Whiteside did tweak his left shoulder and was able to play through it, but it's worth a mention with the Heat playing the Bulls for the second night of a back-to-back on Saturday. Be prepared to add Bam if Whiteside pops up on the injury report.
Jan 18 - 11:24 PM

Kyrie Irving dominated during a 122-116 win over the Grizzlies on Friday, scoring 38 points with seven rebounds, 11 assists, one block and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

He exploded in the third quarter with 20 points and is playing some of his best ball of his career. After the last game, Irving had a career-high 18 dimes and mentioned it after the game. "Somehow people still think I can't pass," he said. His recent output in passing makes him the first Celtics player to record 27+ points and 11+ assists in consecutive games since Larry Bird (Feb. 13-14, 1986). He'll have some risk rest late in the year, but Irving is among the best fantasy point guards when active.
