Aaron Gordon had one of his best performances of the season during a 105-103 win over the Celtics on Saturday, scoring 28 points with 12 rebounds, two assists, one block, six turnovers and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

He was 13-of-13 from the line for his most makes at the charity stripe in his NBA career, and he was 7-of-14 from the field, as well. Gordon's shooting slumps have been far too frequent and he was sitting at 39.1 FG% in his previous January games. He has missed a lot of shots in the paint this season when he's cold, so maybe he can draw some more fouls. Gordon still has a long way to go to get to where he should be based on his ADP.

Gordon Hayward (personal) is not listed on Boston’s injury report for Monday.

Hayward missed Saturday’s game but this indicates he’ll return to action vs. the Heat in Miami. It can't hurt to double-check the injury report prior to this game's 6pm ET tip-off, on what will be a very busy Monday in the NBA.
Jan 21 - 12:21 AM

Tristan Thompson (sore left foot) is listed out for Monday's game vs. Chicago.

That's three straight DNPs for Thompson, and it means Ante Zizic should have another big night ahead of him in the scoring and rebounding departments -- especially vs. the Bulls frontcourt. We'll consider Thompson day-to-day even though he keeps getting ruled out early and has little incentive to play for a tanking team.

Derrick Rose hit a step-back game-winner on Sunday, finishing with 31 points, four rebounds and three assists, making 12-of-24 FGs and 7-of-9 FTs in 38 minutes.

Rose came out cold tonight at 1-of-7 from the field, but warmed up in a hurry and he was literally the reason Minnesota won tonight -- his final bucket came with 0.6 seconds remaining, giving the Wolves a 116-114 win. He has only one block with zero steals in four January games (115 minutes), but for tonight he gets a pass.
Jan 20 - 10:47 PM

Dragan Bender started on Sunday and had 12 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and one block in 29 minutes, making 4-of-10 FGs and 4-of-7 FTs.

Deandre Ayton (left ankle sprain) and Richaun Holmes (right foot sprain) were both out of commission tonight, allowing Bender to start by default. This was his first start of the season, his 15th total appearance, and he easily set or tied season-highs across the board.
Jan 20 - 10:36 PM

Tobias Harris handed out a career-high nine assists on Sunday, adding 27 points, nine rebounds, three steals, one block and zero turnovers in 43 minutes.

L.A. was without Danilo Gallinari (back) and Lou Williams (hamstring), who are the team's second- and third-leading scorers. It's no surprise that Harris was cooking as the go-to scorer, making 12-of-20 shots, but his playmaking was a bonus for fantasy owners. Both Gallinari and Williams are basically day-to-day, but Harris could have a huge four-game week if those guys miss more time.
Jan 20 - 10:10 PM

The Clippers snapped a five-game losing streak on Sunday, with fill-in starter Patrick Beverley racking up 18 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four steals, four 3-pointers and one block.

Beverley's points, rebounds and steals were all season-highs, so congrats to the few owners who had him active -- he tallied a tidy 53.9 total for DFS. The result was a 38-point first quarter for the Clippers, on 65.2% shooting, but it's very hard to see Doc Rivers leaving Bev as a starter once Danilo Gallinari (back) is healthy. L.A. was also without Lou Williams tonight, with a hamstring issue, so this was a perfect storm for Beverley. Just pounce if he manages to do it again on Tuesday.
Jan 20 - 10:05 PM

DeMar DeRozan (ankle) was back in action on Sunday, but he shot just 4-of-16 from the field to score eight points in a home loss to the Clippers.

Yikes. DeRozan only missed one game but perhaps he needed another day to rest up. His jumpers were falling short and he didn't get the free-throw line for the first time all season tonight. It's uncharacteristic, to say the least, and cautious owners should confirm that he's good to go for Wednesday's game in Philly. With two days to rest before then, he should be fine.
Jan 20 - 10:01 PM

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 30 points in a losing effort on Sunday, making 13-of-21 shots with 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

We haven't discussed Aldridge recently, simply because he's Mr. Reliable. He added a 3-pointer tonight and six of his boards came on the offensive glass, helping owners with OREB as a category. The Spurs are in the thick of the playoff race as the No. 6 seed, so there's no reason to think Aldridge's workload will ease up.
Jan 20 - 9:59 PM

Darren Collison had it going vs. Charlotte on Sunday, scoring 19 points on 8-of-14 with nine assists in 30 minutes.

Collison also made three 3-pointers with three rebounds, two steals and a typically stingy two assists. Efficiency is the bedrock of his fantasy game, as he shoots well for a guard (47.1% career FGs) and currently ranks fifth in the NBA in assist-to-turnover ratio. He also led the league in that category last season. Victor Oladipo's return hasn't damaged him and he's sitting on top-30 value (9-cat) in the past month. Not too shabby.
Jan 20 - 8:54 PM

Myles Turner scored nine points and grabbed 16 rebounds on Sunday, with three 3-pointers, one assist and zero turnovers in 30 minutes.

His recently-injured shoulder sure looks fine. The Hornets get blocked 6.8 times per game, easily the highest in the NBA, so it's no surprise that Turner also swatted three shots tonight. The Pacers are one of two teams with just two games next week, putting weekly-matchup owners at a disadvantage, but you almost have to start a healthy Turner.
Jan 20 - 8:53 PM

Joel Embiid (back tightness) is questionable to play vs. Houston on Monday.

Embiid was game-time with this injury on Saturday, but he suited up and dropped 31 points in a tough matchup. It may have flared up on him but details are scarce, and owners should await updates on Monday afternoon -- the good news is that it's one of the later tip-offs of a busy all-day slate.
