Gary Harris (right hip strain) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Hornets.

This will be the second straight game out of the lineup for Harris, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him miss Saturday's game in Atlanta as well. Torey Craig got the start on Wednesday, but it was Malik Beasley who saw the most minutes, although neither of those guys did anything all that noteworthy. Jamal Murray, Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic will be asked to do more on the offensive end while Harris is out.
Dec 6 - 1:06 PM

Kevin Knox started the second half of Sunday's game and finished with 26 points, a career-high 15 rebounds, four 3-pointers and one steal in 41 minutes.

The playing time was also a career-high mark, and he joins LeBron James as the only teenagers in league history to notch 25 & 15 in a game. Inconsistency is still an issue, predictably for a rookie, but in five December games he's averaging 15.6 points, 2.2 triples, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He's shooting poorly and there aren't many defensive stats, but there's enough upside here to grab him in deeper leagues.
Dec 9 - 10:59 PM

Kemba Walker made 8-of-20 FGs and 5-of-5 FTs to score 25 points on Sunday, adding six rebounds, six assists, four steals and four 3-pointers.

Walker broke out with a 14-point second quarter tonight, and this was his highest-scoring game since Nov. 23 -- he shot a combined 35.1% in the intervening seven games. He also passed Latrell Sprewell and Randy Foye for 79th in all-time 3-pointers made tonight. Next up are David Wesley, Gary Payton, Kevin Martin, Steve Smith and one of Kemba's current teammates -- Nicolas Batum. He'll erupt with a few huge scoring games soon enough, especially since the next five opponents aren't defensive juggernauts -- the Pistons (twice), Knicks, Lakers and Cavaliers.
Dec 9 - 10:47 PM

Goran Dragic is not on the injury report and is expected to play on Monday against the Lakers after sitting out for rest on Saturday.

The Heat should also have Wayne Ellington back, but Hassan Whiteside is out, and Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson are both questionable. Dragic looks like a decent fantasy play with four games this week, assuming his knee holds up for all of them. He recently missed eight games due to the knee problem.
Dec 9 - 10:14 PM

Hassan Whiteside (personal) is listed as out for Monday's game against the Lakers.

This will be his third straight game missed for the birth of his first child, but it's also interesting given that guys don't usually miss this much time for the birth of a child, and the last time we saw him he left the bench before his game was over. There could be more to this, but either way, both Bam Adebayo and Kelly Olynyk will see a bunch of minutes on Monday night, along with Justise Winslow.
Dec 9 - 10:10 PM

Josh Richardson (shoulder) is questionable to play in Monday's game.

That's all the information we've got, so owners have a decision to make. The good news is the Heat play four times this week, so even if Richardson sits on Monday, he'll still have a shot at playing in three games this week.
Dec 9 - 9:56 PM

Rudy Gobert handed out a career-high seven assists during Sunday's road loss, adding 12 points (5-of-9 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs) and eight rebounds.

Gobert also had one steal and one block in 34 minutes of action, and this was a nice return for fantasy owners after his early ejection on Thursday. Ignoring that game, he's scored double-digit points in all but one game this season, and his blocks have picked up lately with 15 in the past five. He's hitting early-round value and looks even better if you ignore the abysmal FT shooting (59.5% on 5.9 attempts per game).
Dec 9 - 9:49 PM

Rudy Gay notched 23 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 34 minutes on Sunday, making 10-of-16 field goals and 3-of-4 free throws in 34 minutes.

That gives Gay five double-doubles this season and he looks far more comfortable two years removed from his Achilles surgery. The Spurs rolled to a 110-97 victory behind Gay, DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge, and all signs point to Gay cruising with top-100 value. Despite occasional concern about his right heel/Achilles, he's playing in back-to-back sets and hasn't missed a game since Nov. 14.
Dec 9 - 9:41 PM

DeMar DeRozan scored a team-high 26 points on Sunday with eight assists, six rebounds, two steals and one block.

After lighting up the Lakers on Friday, DeRozan kept it up and had 16/5/5 at halftime tonight -- the first time in his career that he's hit those numbers in a half. He shot 10-of-23 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line tonight, without a single turnover in 38 minutes, and continues to post career-best fantasy value in his first campaign under Gregg Popovich.
Dec 9 - 9:40 PM

Fred VanVleet finished Sunday's loss vs. the visiting Bucks with a season-high 19 points, five 3-pointers, two rebounds and two assists.

VanVleet shot 7-of-12 from the field and chipped in one steal without a single turnover in 27 minutes. He closed this game in a small-ball lineup while Pascal Siakam watched from the bench, and finally snapped out of an extended slump that had him shooting a combined 10-of-36 from the field (27.8%) over the past five games. He's worth a look if you need a cheap PG in competitive leagues.
Dec 9 - 8:38 PM

Kyle Lowry didn't score in 34 minutes on Sunday, but he did contribute five rebounds, six assists and one block in a home loss vs. Milwaukee.

Lowry sat out last Saturday with a sore back and it's hard to imagine the injury isn't still impacting him -- he's shooting 4-of-28 from the field (14.3%) over the past four games. He's not using it as an excuse and an upward correction is inevitable, so get in your low-ball offers while you still can.
Dec 9 - 8:37 PM

The Lakers are "engaged in talks" to trade for Trevor Ariza, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Suns reportedly want "a playmaking guard and a draft asset" in return for Ariza. It sounds like the fundamentals of a deal could be close, since they're "working to reach an agreement with a third team" willing to take on Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's $12 million salary. A trade to L.A. would help the Lakers in reality, but it wouldn't necessarily benefit Ariza's fantasy value while LeBron James, Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram are healthy.
