Coach Brad Stevens said that Gordon Hayward may be "limited a bit from a minutes perspective" at the start of the regular season, but he and Kyrie Irving are expected to play in back-to-backs.

It was always assumed that Hayward would be on some sort of minutes restriction as he works his way back towards 100 percent. Hayward, who missed nearly all of last season due to a gruesome leg injury, was also dealing with a minor back issue during training camp. It will be interesting to see how many minutes he logs on opening night, but it's great news that Hayward is expected to play both ends of back-to-backs early in the season.

Jamal Murray (leg) is not being listed on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Kings.

Murray played through a left tibia contusion on Sunday, but the injury was never believed to be serious, and he is fully expected to be in the starting lineup for tonight's game. He was dreadful in his last game, missing all nine of his field goal attempts, but he should be able to bounce back tonight with a much more favorable matchup against Sacramento.
Oct 23 - 2:41 PM

Updating a previous report, James Ennis (right hamstring) is expected to miss the next 2-3 games for Houston.

With Chris Paul (suspended) also unavailable for Wednesday's game against the Jazz, Michael Carter-Williams will move into the starting lineup alongside James Harden, Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker and Clint Capela. While MCW will see an uptick in minutes, we don't expect him to bring anything noteworthy to the boxscore. Mike D'Antoni said that Ennis' hamstring injury "wasn't too serious," so he should be back by next Wednesday.
Oct 23 - 2:22 PM

An MRI revealed a moderate left MCL sprain for Kris Dunn and he is expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks of action.

Dunn doesn't have a history of knee issues, but he has had a tough time staying on the court over the past few years, and he could be on the longer end of this timetable considering winning games isn't necessarily a priority for the Bulls this season. Cameron Payne, Ryan Arcidiacono, Tyler Ulis and Shaquille Harrison will divvy up the PG minutes in Chicago, but none of those guys are great targets in most settings. Look for Zach LaVine to spend more time running the offense in Dunn's absence.
Oct 23 - 2:18 PM

Andrew Wiggins (thigh) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Toronto.

Wiggings left Monday's game with a right quad contusion in the first quarter and was unable to return. Afterward, he told reporters that the injury isn't serious and that he planned to play Wednesday. Wiggins has only missed one game in his entire NBA career. In addition, he is one of the best Canadian-born players in the league would love to play in front of the folks in Toronto. We should have confirmation on his status following Wednesday morning's shootaround.
Oct 23 - 1:18 PM

Michael Carter-Williams will start in place of James Ennis (hamstring) on Wednesday vs. Utah.

The Rockets are shorthanded with Ennis sidelined and Chris Paul suspended. Carter-Williams has scored just two points in 15 total minutes over Houston's two previous contests. He should see 20+ minutes on Wednesday but is still risky as even a dart-throw in DFS.
Oct 23 - 12:45 PM

Justise Winslow (hamstring) is probable for Wednesday's game vs. New York.

Winslow has been dealing with a nagging hammy injury all month but is finally set to make his season debut on Wednesday. In 2017-18, Winslow averaged 7.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists and signed a three-year, $39 million extension with the Heat this offseason.
Oct 23 - 12:43 PM

Hassan Whiteside (groin) is expected to play Wednesday night vs. the Knicks.

Whiteside did not practice on Monday due to a groin issue, but we still haven't been given details on the extent of the injury. Fortunately, it appears to be minor, as Whiteside likely won't miss a single game. It's possible Miami was just limiting his reps by holding him out of Monday's practice. Whiteside has grabbed double-digit rebounds in each of the Heat's three games this season and tallied 11 points, 15 boards and two blocks across 25 minutes Saturday night. We should have confirmation on his status after Wednesday's shootaround.
Oct 23 - 12:42 PM

Wayne Ellington (left ankle) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game vs. the Knicks.

Ellington has yet to make his 2018-19 debut, but has been heading in the right direction. He went through shootaround Saturday morning, yet coach Erik Spoelstra said he wanted Ellington to get in a full practice before he is cleared to play. No word yet if he suffered any sort of set back over the past couple of days.
Oct 23 - 12:40 PM

Coach Mike D'Antoni said that James Ennis (strained right hamstring) won't play Wednesday's game vs. Utah.

Ennis strained his hamstring midway through the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Clippers. Ennis had started each of the Rockets first three games, and was averaging 6.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 23.3 minutes. With Ennis sidelined, Michael Carter-Williams will draw the start in his place.
Oct 23 - 12:30 PM

Coach Dwane Casey said that Andre Drummond (illness) will be available to play Tuesday vs. the Sixers.

Drummond missed Monday's practice with the flu, which left his status for Tuesday uncertain. However, he was seen getting up shots following the team's shootaround and is on track to suit up Tuesday night for his showdown against Joel Embiid, which will be a fun matchup to watch. On the season, Drummond is averaging 17.0 points, 16.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks. He is a must-start in all fantasy formats.
Oct 23 - 12:20 PM

Markelle Fultz will start at point guard on Tuesday vs. Detroit if Ben Simmons (lower back tightness) is ruled out.

Fultz has struggled with his shot this season, shooting just 33.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from the free-throw line. He would likely log a season-high in playing time if Simmons is unable to suit up, making him an interesting option in DFS formats. On the season, Fultz is averaging 11.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per-36 minutes. T.J. McConnell would backup Fultz and see plenty of playing time off the bench if Fultz struggles on Tuesday.
