Jabari Parker said coming off the bench will be a "huge adjustment" for him.

He may have to get used to it because coach Fred Hoiberg liked what he saw from the first and second units in Wednesday's preseason game. Parker was also spotted working with the second unit at Thursday's practice, so it's looking more and more likely that he'll open the season as a backup combo forward. His fantasy arrow is pointing in the wrong direction and could take another dive once Lauri Markkanen (elbow) comes back.

Nikola Jokic had his way with DeAndre Jordan on Tuesday, hitting 13-of-25 shots, two 3-pointers and 4-of-4 free throws for 32 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, three steals, a block and five turnovers in 35 minutes of the 126-118 win.

He didn't hit a single season high with tonight's stellar line, which should tell you what kind of season he's having for the 21-9 Nuggets. And speaking of the Nuggets, they tied the franchise record for their best start to a season at 21-9 and have never sat alone in first place in the West this deep into a season. And Jokic is a big reason why the Nuggets (and his owner's fantasy teams) are doing so well this season. The Warriors are right behind Denver at 21-10, while the East's Raptors have the best record in the league at 23-9.
Dec 18 - 11:57 PM

John Collins hit 7-of-14 shots, a 3-pointer and 5-of-6 3-pointers for 20 points, 13 rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Wizards.

He was in foul trouble tonight, or the minutes would have been higher, and Collins is on a tear right now. He's double-doubled in nine of his last 11 games and came into this one averaging 23.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.8 3-pointers on 79 percent shooting from the floor, and 67 percent shooting from the line in the month of December. He's more than living up to the hype, so congratulations are in order if you drafted him and were able to stick with him through the foot injury that caused him to miss the first 15 games of the season.
Dec 18 - 11:11 PM

Lonzo Ball went off for season-highs in points (23) and triples (5) in Tuesday's loss to the Nets, adding six rebounds, three assists, two steals and three turnovers.

He was unconscious to start this game with 11 straight points in the first quarter and finished 9-of-16 from the field. Ball is having the best stretch of his season with 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.8 steals, 2.0 triples and 1.0 blocks on 46% shooting with only his FT% (33%) and turnovers (2.6) holding him back. With Rajon Rondo (hand) nearing a return, Ball is heating up just in time and should be able to keep his job.
Dec 18 - 10:28 PM

LeBron James dropped 36 points in a 115-110 loss to the Nets on Tuesday.

LeBron racked up 13 rebounds with eight assists, one steal, one block, two triples and five turnovers, hitting 13-of-23 shots and 8-of-13 free throws. That's two bad losses in a row for the Lakers, and things don't get any easier with games coming up against the Pelicans, Grizzlies and Warriors. The game against the Pelicans will be particularly interesting, as LBJ has made it very clear that he would like to find a way to get Anthony Davis to join the Lakers. "That would be amazing, like, duh," James said. "That would be incredible."

Larry Nance hit the game-winner in a 92-91 win over the Pacers on Tuesday, finishing with 15 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, three steals, one block and one triple in 33 minutes.

He moved into the starting lineup in a move that was long overdue, hitting 7-of-14 shots with two turnovers. Nance's playmaking has been a huge lift to his fantasy value lately with 6+ dimes in six out of his last seven games, and we even saw him wave off Collin Sexton several times tonight and bring the ball up himself. He's been an early-round fantasy producer for a couple weeks now and his fantasy arrow is still pointing straight up.
Dec 18 - 9:22 PM

Juancho Hernangomez (abdominal strain) is active for Tuesday's game vs. Dallas.

Harrison Wind of BSN Denver believes Hernangomez will start but play limited minutes tonight. This is just the first of two total games for Denver this week, but he's been a mid-round player lately and is worth holding onto.
Dec 18 - 8:18 PM

Mike Conley (left hamstring soreness) is questionable for Wednesday vs. the Blazers.

This comes from Grizzlies PR so all we have to work with is the questionable tag. If Conley is unable to play for a second straight game, the Grizzlies will rely on Shelvin Mack and Jevon Carter at PG again with Kyle Anderson running more offense. Mack is a better streaming option than Carter, but only offers low-end upside.
Dec 18 - 7:30 PM

Nuggets coach Mike Malone is "optimistic" that Juancho Hernangomez will play on Tuesday vs. the Mavericks.

Hernangomez was previously listed as questionable but is probably closer to probable now. He's going through warmups, and Malone added that he would likely "monitor his minutes" if he's a go. We'll confirm his status shortly.
Dec 18 - 7:20 PM

Bogdan Bogdanovic (sore right foot) and Iman Shumpert (hip) are questionable to play Wednesday against the Thunder.

If both these guys are forced to the sidelines tomorrow, Justin Jackson could get the start, but he's too inconsistent to trust in most leagues. Owners can expect to get another update following Wednesday's shootaround.
Dec 18 - 6:37 PM

Malcolm Brogdon (left hamstring) is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Pelicans.

Brogdon has sat out the past two games with the hamstring issue, but he almost played on Monday, so maybe he'll be able to get back out there tomorrow night. We'll have a better idea on his status based on his activity level at shootaround, but if he is able to get back out there, Tony Snell will return to the bench. Stay tuned.
Dec 18 - 6:30 PM

David Nwaba will return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pacers, sending Alec Burks back to the second unit.

Across three starts this season, Nwaba has come through with averages of 8.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.0 assist and 1.0 turnover per game on 33.3% shooting, so he's still not a great option in most settings. Burks should still see quality minutes with the second unit, but inefficiency makes him an unattractive target in category-based settings.
