Kyrie Irving (knee) reportedly looked "amazing" at a recent workout in Miami, scrimmaging without restrictions for two days straight.

The star-studded scrimmage at the Miami Heat facility included Kevin Durant, James Harden and several other Heat players, and Irving appeared to be going full-bore. Irving underwent a minimally invasive knee surgery back in March, but it looks like he'll be 100% heading into camp. Still, the knee issues will make him a risky early-round investment.

Darren Collison had it going vs. Charlotte on Sunday, scoring 19 points on 8-of-14 with nine assists in 30 minutes.

Collison also made three 3-pointers with three rebounds, two steals and a typically stingy two assists. Efficiency is the bedrock of his fantasy game, as he shoots well for a guard (47.1% career FGs) and currently ranks fifth in the NBA in assist-to-turnover ratio. He also led the league in that category last season. Victor Oladipo's return hasn't damaged him and he's sitting on top-30 value (9-cat) in the past month. Not too shabby.

Myles Turner scored nine points and grabbed 16 rebounds on Sunday, with three 3-pointers, one assist and zero turnovers in 30 minutes.

His recently-injured shoulder sure looks fine. The Hornets get blocked 6.8 times per game, easily the highest in the NBA, so it's no surprise that Turner also swatted three shots tonight. The Pacers are one of two teams with just two games next week, putting weekly-matchup owners at a disadvantage, but you almost have to start a healthy Turner.

Joel Embiid (back tightness) is questionable to play vs. Houston on Monday.

Embiid was game-time with this injury on Saturday, but he suited up and dropped 31 points in a tough matchup. It may have flared up on him but details are scarce, and owners should await updates on Monday afternoon -- the good news is that it's one of the later tip-offs of a busy all-day slate.

Jimmy Butler (sore right wrist) is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Rockets.

The Wolves did list Butler as out with a right wrist injury back in late September, but that was during his acrimonious holdout -- it hasn't been an issue since. Hopefully he's only on the injury report as a precaution, but we'll know more after Philly's shootaround.

Lonzo Ball will miss 4-6 weeks with a Grade-3 left ankle sprain.

An MRI confirmed the damage and this is a brutal turn of events for Ball and the Lakers, who are currently tied for No. 8 in the West. The good news is that his ankle should be fine after immobilization, rest and rehab, and it's possible he could play soon after the All-Star break. Rajon Rondo (hand) is due back soon and his role becomes even more important, while guys like Lance Stephenson and Josh Hart will also be tasked with more play-making duties for the second unit. Given his uneven contributions in most fantasy leagues, it makes sense to cut Lonzo in re-draft leagues without an IR spot.

Jeff Teague (illness) will start Sunday's game vs. Phoenix.

He was a late addition to the injury report but there's no mention of a minute-limit, so owners should feel free to keep him locked into active lineups.
Jan 20 - 6:27 PM

Dennis Smith Jr. plans to return to the Mavericks for Tuesday's home game vs. the Clippers.

Mavs coach Rick Carlisle informed the team of this decision during Sunday's practice, and the plan is for DSJ to immediately re-join the rotation. His return is good news for a team suddenly playing without J.J. Barea (Achilles) for the rest of the season, and it ends speculation about how long his ostracism from the team would last. He's worth grabbing off the waiver wire if you need a guard, in case he hits his fantasy stride heading toward the All-Star break.
Jan 20 - 5:43 PM

Lou Williams (right hamstring) will not play on Sunday vs. the Spurs.

This is no surprise, since coach Doc Rivers said on Friday that Williams would "for sure" be rested on Sunday. It doesn't sound like Williams' sore hamstring is too serious, but L.A. will take every precaution with their veteran second-unit star. No one player will replace his production, but guys like Patrick Beverley, Tyrone Wallace should see more minutes off the bench.
Jan 20 - 5:41 PM

DeMar DeRozan (left ankle soreness) will play vs. the Clippers on Sunday.

DeRozan was listed as probable and said this weekend that he'd "without a doubt" be active for this game, so he should already be in active lineups. Pau Gasol should head back to the bench with LaMarcus Aldridge shifting over to center tonight.
Jan 20 - 5:33 PM

Jamal Crawford (knee soreness) is available to play vs. the Wolves on Sunday.

It's unclear whether he'll actually be in the Suns' rotation, since coach Igor Kokoskov has been trying to play young guys like Elie Okobo and De'Anthony Melton. It's best to take a wait-and-see approach here, even in DFS and deep leagues.

Marc Gasol (back) is probable to play on Monday vs. the Pelicans.

Gasol missed Saturday's game against the Raptors, but it's looking like it'll only be a one-game absence with the sore back. His return will shift JaMychal Green back to the second unit, and Ivan Rabb could be headed for a DNP-CD. Check back for official confirmation on his status closer to Monday's tip.
