Carmelo Anthony has verbally agreed to sign with the Rockets, according to sources of Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

Anthony cleared waivers last week but hasn't officially been able to put pen to paper a new deal as he's been touring Africa with the NBA Players Association. Melo verbally committing to Houston essentially makes this a done deal, and things should become officially shortly after he returns to the states. Anthony struggled as a third-option in OKC last season, so it'll be interesting to see how he meshes in Houston. We're not very high on him in fantasy hoops.

Damyean Dotson (shoulder bruise) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. Charlotte.

Dotson popped up on the injury report as questionable and will miss his first game of the year due to injury Friday night. With both Allonzo Trier (hamstring) and Trey Burke (knee) also sidelined, the Knicks will be a bit shorthanded in the backcourt. Frank Ntilikina and Courtney Lee should see plenty of playing time off the bench vs. the Hornets.
Dec 14 - 12:39 PM

Dwyane Wade (illness) is questionable for Friday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

We may have to wait until Coach Spo addresses the media pregame before we have a definitive update on Wade's status this evening. If Wade is unable to suit up, Wayne Ellington, Rodney McGruder and Tyler Johnson will likely soak up additional minutes.
Dec 14 - 12:34 PM

Zach LaVine injured his ankle on the final play of Thursday's loss to the Magic, but expects to play Saturday vs. San Antonio.

LaVine hurt the ankle when he tried to score on the Bulls' final possession on Thursday night and limped off the floor. LaVine said he’ll "be fine" but also admitted that he heard "something pop" when he landed on his ankle. He was able to walk out of the arena on his own power. "I think it was just some fluid or something," LaVine said. "I’ll be all right by Saturday. I’m walking around." Check back for an update by Friday evening.
Dec 14 - 11:28 AM

T.J. Warren dominated during a 99-89 win over the Mavs on Thursday, scoring a season-high 30 points with three rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

The Suns finally snap their 10-game losing streak to earn their fifth win of the season with their 24 losses. Warren is coming off a 23-point Tuesday and looks to be back after a nagging ankle issue limited him since Nov. 30. Warren does have some durability issues in his career, so hopefully he can stay on the court. While Devin Booker (hamstring) is out, Warren should have a high upside in all leagues and in DFS.
Dec 14 - 1:35 AM

Trevor Ariza scored 13 points with eight rebounds, five assists, four steals and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Mavs on Thursday.

He returned to action after missing the second half of a back-to-back set on Tuesday. By the time the Suns play their next game on Saturday, Ariza will officially be eligible for a trade, so the last-place Suns could sit him more frequently. If he's traded, he'll likely go to a lower-usage role, so he's not exactly the strongest hold in 12-team leagues.
Dec 14 - 1:14 AM

Nikola Vucevic scored 26 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Bulls during a 97-91 win in Mexico City on Thursday.

He destroyed the Bulls late with 10 points in the final 5:05. The Magic still sit in the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference with a 1.5-game cushion over the ninth-place Heat, and the Magic get six of their next seven at home. Vooch is crushing as a first-round value in standard leagues, and his owners will be hoping his squad can stay in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Dec 14 - 12:50 AM

Jonathan Isaac scored 10 points with three rebounds, one assist, three steals, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday.

He was also 5-of-5 from the line to boost him to 81.6% on the season. Isaac is one of a handful of players who can average two blocks and two steals over a long period of time, and the playing time is starting to stay consistent with 25-plus minutes in seven of his last eight. He's shown he can provide at least some offense to go with those eye-popping defensive stats, so he should be owned in standard leagues.
Dec 14 - 12:44 AM

Zach LaVine scored 23 points with three rebounds, five assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 40 minutes against the Magic during a 97-91 loss in Mexico City on Thursday.

The altitude didn't affect him much as he bounced back from consecutive games under 20 points. Jabari Parker getting out of the rotation is a good thing for LaVine, who has better scoring, dimes, treys and efficiency per minute when Parker is off the court compared to when he's on it. Whatever the case, LaVine should continue to flirt with scoring in the mid-20s as one of the better volume scorers in the league.
Dec 14 - 12:26 AM

Jabari Parker did not score in four minutes against the Magic on Thursday, adding one rebound and one assist.

Yikes. In case you missed it before the game, Parker is reportedly going to fall out of the rotation when Chandler Hutchison (illness) returns from what should be a one-game absence. Parker saw some time at SF today, and apparently the Bulls are now finding out what basically everyone knew over the summer: Jabari Parker is not a small forward. Perhaps a team tries to get him in a trade, but there's just little reason to stash him until we find out more.
Dec 14 - 12:04 AM

LaMarcus Aldridge made 12-of-14 from the field for 27 points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes during a 125-87 win over the Clippers on Thursday.

It's the first time he's made a 3-pointer this season, and he was asked about taking more after the game. "Nah, my value’s inside," he said. Aldridge got hot in the third with 12 points to help the Spurs win that frame 32-20 to earn another blowout win. The Spurs offense has been clicking over their last seven games with a West-leading 117.6 offensive rating, so there could be more fantasy goodness to go around if they can stay hot on that end.
Dec 13 - 11:53 PM

Rudy Gay made 8-of-10 from the field for 21 points with six rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals, no turnovers and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Clippers on Thursday.

He's looked a lot healthier lately and hasn't been on the injury report. Interestingly, Gay has ditched his Puma kicks because they were causing pain in his heel earlier this season, but the shoe company is working to find an alternative option besides him wearing another brand. His fantasy owners should be rooting for Puma to be taking their time because Gay has been outstanding over his last five, averaging 19.6 points, 7.6 boards, 2.2 dimes, 1.8 steals and 1.2 treys on 61.3% from the field and 94.1% from the line. He's a must-start player right now.
