James Ennis has agreed to a two-year deal with the Rockets, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

The second year is a player option, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. After the Rockets lost Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute, they had to land someone to help out with their forward depth. Ennis was having an OK year from deep with the Grizzlies, but he lost his touch with the Pistons, making just 30.4 percent from deep in 27 games.
Jul 11 - 5:36 PM

Joel Embiid scored 33 points (12-of-18 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs) with 17 rebounds, six assists, one block, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes against the Nets on Wednesday.

Embiid became the first player since Hassan Whiteside in Feb. of 2017 to have 23 points and 13 rebounds in one half of action, which he did in the first half in this one. He now has five games with at least 20 first half points this season. Embiid also became the second Sixer to post multiple games of 30 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in the last 30 seasons, joining the one and only Charles Barkley.
Dec 12 - 11:12 PM

Marc Gasol had nine points, seven rebounds, five assists, one 3-pointer, one steal and a season-high six blocks during Wednesday's home win.

Gasol came in shooting 31.5% in December, and coach J.B. Bickerstaff said he wants to get him "easy things" in the offense, including more catch-and-shoot opportunities. It didn't happen tonight as Gasol made 4-of-15 field goals. His rebounds have also fallen to 5.2 per game, from 10.3 in November, which Bickerstaff said was primarily due to a lingering left foot/ankle injury. He was solid in all facets of the game beyond shooting tonight, but this is obviously a situation to monitor -- he's been dealing with the foot injury since late November.
Dec 12 - 11:09 PM

C.J. McCollum lit up the Grizzlies for a season-high-tying 40 points on Wednesday, shooting 16-of-27 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line in 39 minutes.

He rounded out his evening with five boards, two assists, two triples, one steal and one block. McCollum averaged 30.5 points vs. the Grizzlies last season and continues to thrive against them, despite Memphis being one of the poorer fantasy matchups. Hopefully he can carry over this performance vs. the visiting Raptors on Friday, but if not there's always the Grizzlies again next Wednesday (Dec. 19).
Dec 12 - 11:05 PM

Jusuf Nurkic was held to two points on 1-of-15 shooting vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday, adding 10 rebounds, three blocks, two steals and one assist.

The Blazers have lost six consecutive road games and they were doomed tonight by the combined shooting of Nurk and Damian Lillard (4-of-18). His mid-range shots weren't falling and he also went 0-of-4 in the restricted area -- he missed a layup, got blocked by Marc Gasol (once) and blocked by Jaren Jackson Jr. (twice). The supporting stats prevented a total loss for fantasy, and the 51.0% shooter should atone in a hurry.
Dec 12 - 11:04 PM

Larry Nance came off the bench on Wednesday, posting three points with 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, three blocks and one 3-pointer.

Nance played 33 minutes and with Tristan Thompson (foot) out 2-4 weeks, the opportunity is ripe for mid-round value. He's already carving out 12-team roto value with 8.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.4 threes and 0.6 blocks, and that's in 23.7 minutes per game. Thompson had been grabbing 18.9% of all available rebounds, the eighth-highest mark in the league, so there should be plenty of extra boards for Nance in the next 2-4 weeks.
Dec 12 - 10:51 PM

Kevin Knox got the start on Wednesday and scored 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting with seven rebounds, three 3-pointers, two blocks and one assist 33 minutes.

The rookie was coming off a 26 & 15 game and New York is all about developing the young guys, so it'd be surprising if he doesn't stick as a starter. The bad news is that prior to this week he'd been brutal for percentages (35.0% FGs, 65.2% FTs) while contributing a mere 3.8 boards, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks. He's improved recently and said the game is starting to slow down for him, though, so he's worth grabbing to see if he stays hot.
Dec 12 - 10:49 PM

New York's losing streak extended to five games on Wednesday, despite Emmanuel Mudiay's 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

Cleveland has been one of the best matchups for opposing point guards, behind only Atlanta and Washington, and Mudiay took full advantage. It appears he's locked down the starting PG job but coach David Fizdale hasn't been shy about changing lineups, so owners should be wary of Trey Burke's looming return from a knee injury.
Dec 12 - 10:46 PM

J.J. Barea (left ankle sprain) is doubtful to return on Wednesday.

X-rays were negative and Dallas is leading the Hawks by double-digit points in the fourth quarter, so hopefully this is a precaution. Barea exits with 18 points in 16 minutes, having made 7-of-11 shots with three 3-pointers and three assists. We'll consider him day-to-day and should know more after Thursday's practice.
Dec 12 - 10:35 PM

Myles Turner erupted once again during a win over the Bucks on Wednesday, scoring 23 points with seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks and four 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

He's on fire and he does this in a tougher matchup for bigs. Turner just looks quicker right now and he's been tremendous on weak-side blocks, helping him accumulate a whopping 3.6 per game over his last five games. Offensively, he has also picked it up lately, but it hasn't necessarily been because of a usage rate boost with Turner having an identical 20.4 usage rate with Victor Oladipo on and off the floor. Maybe it's his new ponytail or something else, but Turner looks like the fantasy stud he was two years ago again.
Dec 12 - 10:26 PM

Kemba Walker went off for 31 points, nine assists and eight rebounds during Wednesday's comeback home win vs. the Pistons.

Walker made four 3-pointers with one steal and one block tonight, while committing just one turnover in 38 minutes. The only bad news is that he shot 8-of-25 from the field and has been slumping for three straight weeks, but he made up for it with an 11-of-13 mark at the FT line. The shots will start falling and he's still racking up stats in the meantime, so owners should just bide their time.
Dec 12 - 10:15 PM

Blake Griffin returned from a rest day to score 26 points (9-of-16 FGs, 5-of-9 FTs) with 10 rebounds, seven assists, three 3-pointers and one block in 36 minutes.

Blake missed Monday's game in the second half of a back-to-back set, which was his first DNP all season. Detroit hasn't indicated that more rest days will be coming, and they don't have consecutive games until Jan. 1/2, so it's not an immediate concern. He certainly looked spry tonight with a game-high in scoring to go along with the dimes and rebounds, and he even kept his turnovers in check with just two miscues.
