Jonas Valanciunas scored 18 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, one block, two steals and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes against the Knicks on Thursday.

So about those DeAndre Jordan rumors. The Raptors were reportedly in on the Jordan sweepstakes, but nobody was able to reel in the big deadline fish. That's good news for Valanciunas and he's on one of his better stretches of his career. He's been a sixth-round player in nine-category leagues over the last five weeks.
Feb 8 - 11:10 PM

Russell Westbrook scored 29 points (12-of-25 FG, 1-of-2 FT) with 13 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, four turnovers and four three-pointers in 37 minutes Monday against Sacramento.

Westbrook made his return to the lineup after missing the prior six games due to a sprained ankle and his wife giving birth to twins. The 2017 NBA MVP wasn't under a minutes restriction Monday, and he ultimately finished three assists shy of a triple-double. If there's a surprise regarding Westbrook's night it's the fact that he attempted just two free throws, a single-game low this season.
Nov 20 - 1:47 AM

Marvin Bagley scored 15 points (6-of-11 FG, 3-of-6 FT) with 13 rebounds, three blocked shots and two assists in 26 minutes in Monday's win over Oklahoma City.

With it being reported ahead of Monday's game that management wanted to see more of Bagley on the court, this made for an interesting subplot to keep an eye on. The second overall pick in June's NBA draft took advantage of his playing time, posting the first double-double of his NBA career. Bagley's played at least 26 minutes in each of the last two games, averaging 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest.
Nov 20 - 1:27 AM

Jrue Holiday tallied 21 points (8-of-13, 3-of-5 FT) with nine assists, four rebounds, two steals, one blocked shot and two three-pointers in 32 minutes against the Spurs Monday.

While Holiday's turnover count was a bit high, as he finished with five, he had an impact offensively with regards to both scoring and distributing the basketball. His streak of games with at least eight assists is up to 12, an important stat to keep an eye on as the Pelicans continue to play without the injured Elfrid Payton. That simply makes Holiday even more valuable from a fantasy standpoint.
Nov 20 - 12:18 AM

Julius Randle scored 21 points (9-of-13 FG, 3-of-3 FT) with 14 rebounds, ten assists and one steals in 25 minutes off the bench Monday against San Antonio.

Randle's triple-double is the sixth of his career, and his first as a member of the Pelicans. Signed as a free agent during the summer, the former Los Angeles Laker has fit in well in New Orleans and has been one of the league's most productive reserves. While Randle's rebound total Monday wasn't a shock the assists were, as it was just the third time this season that he's tallied at least five assists in a game.
Nov 20 - 12:01 AM

Anthony Davis scored 29 points (13-of-22 FG, 3-of-3 FT) with nine rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in 32 minutes against San Antonio Monday night.

Davis was unable to extend his streak of games with at least 40 points to three, and he also fell six points short of reaching the 10,000 career points mark Monday. HC Alvin Gentry left his star forward/center in the game during the fourth quarter in an attempt to get those six points, but the plan was scrapped after Davis took an inadvertent elbow to the face from Spurs rookie Drew Eubanks. Davis was fine after the play.
Nov 19 - 11:56 PM

Mike Conley scored 28 points to lead the Grizzlies to a 98-88 win over Dallas on Monday, matching his career-high of seven 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Conley finished 10-of-18 from the field and 1-of-2 from the line with seven assists, five rebounds, two steals and three turnovers. The Grizzlies improved to 11-5 and are in a three-team tie with the Clippers and Blazers for first place in the West. Two of the main concerns about Conley in fantasy drafts was his durability and the possibility of a late-season tank, but one of those is now a distant memory with the Grizzlies looking legit. Marc Gasol added 17 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, one steal and four blocks for Memphis, but missed all five of his triples.
Nov 19 - 11:10 PM

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 13 points with three rebounds, two assists, two steals, four blocks and two turnovers in 36 minutes vs. the Mavericks on Monday.

Before the game, coach J.B. Bickerstaff said his plan was to keep JJJ in the starting lineup for the time being, and we just don't see how he can warrant going back to JaMychal Green (he played just 15 minutes tonight). JJJ is rising up the fantasy rankings quickly and is 59th in 9-category leagues in 25 minutes per game, but he's been inside the top-25 over the past two weeks with 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.7 steals, 2.6 blocks and 0.7 triples in that span. The sky is the limit for JJJ.
Nov 19 - 10:56 PM

Joel Embiid scored 33 points (12-of-23 FG, 9-of-12 FT) with 17 rebounds, three steals, one assist and one blocked shot in 36 minutes Monday against the Suns.

Embiid issued a warning of sorts to Suns rookie center Deandre Ayton before the season began, and he made good on those words Monday night. Phoenix had no answer for Embiid, who could have threatened the 40-point mark had he not missed all five of his three-point attempts. He's been one of the best players in the NBA this season and is well on his way to a second straight All-Star Game appearance in February.
Nov 19 - 10:52 PM

Ricky Rubio matched his season-high with 28 points in a 121-94 loss to the Pacers on Monday.

The Jazz were a complete mess, as Rubio nearly outscored the other four starters 28-29. Rubio was also the only Jazz player with a positive +/- rating, adding six assists, four rebounds, three steals, one block and five triples. Rubio is known for starting slow and delivering the goods down the stretch (he flirted with top-30 value after the break last season), so maybe Christmas is coming early for his fantasy owners with three strong games in a row. In that span, he's averaging 20.3 points, 4.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.6 triples.
Nov 19 - 10:27 PM

John Collins came off the bench and hit 7-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 18 points, three rebounds and six assists in Monday's loss to the Clippers, his second game played of the season.

Here we go! Collins hopes to be a facilitator on offense this season, so the six dimes weren't all that surprising, but he should also put up better big-man numbers than he did tonight. He was in foul trouble, but was on a minutes limit anyway, and he should now be owned in all leagues. And if you have a chance to start him, it looks like he's good to go.
Nov 19 - 10:24 PM

Donovan Mitchell was held to a season-low seven points on 3-of-8 shots vs. the Pacers on Monday.

This was his first game with single-digit points and his second with single-digit shot attempts. The rest of his stat line was just as bad, as Mitchell recorded one rebound, one assist, one block and three turnovers despite playing 32 minutes. Mitchell was coming off one of his best games of the campaign with 28 points vs. Boston, but he's been super volatile early on this season. The Jazz are 1-3 in their last four games and everyone not named Ricky Rubio had an off night, but they will have a great chance to right the ship vs. the Kings on Wednesday. Mitchell is an obvious buy-low target as he's ranked three rounds below his ADP.
