Clippers sign G Tyrone Wallace.

It makes sense because Wallace is listed at 6'5", so coach Doc Rivers may have another PG defensive option. Jawun Evans is undersized and coach Doc Rivers mentioned how Evans had a tough night against Russell Westbrook on Thursday. Wallace's G League averages are solid at 22.8 points, 6.0 boards, 5.4 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.9 blocks and 0.6 treys. Don't be surprised to see him in the rotation on Saturday.

Shaun Livingston (sore right foot) is questionable for Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Thunder.

Livingston tweaked his foot at Sunday's practice, so maybe the 33-year-old misses opening night. That would translate to more run for Quinn Cook, but neither of these guys will be worth owning while the Dubs are at full strength.

Myles Turner has agreed to a four-year, $80 million extension with the Pacers.

Turner didn't quite live up to expectations fantasy-wise last season, but he's a talented young big man who remains loaded with potential. The 22-year-old center will be entering this season in the best shape of his life, and if he can hold off Domantas Sabonis for minutes (or play alongside him), he could be in for a career year. He did tweak his ankle on Monday but said he's fine and expects to play in Wednesday's season opener vs. Memphis.
Oct 15 - 3:47 PM

JaMychal Green (sore left shoulder) is probable to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Pacers.

Green sat out Friday's preseason finale with a minor shoulder issue, but he got in a full practice on Monday and should be good to go for opening night. He may open the year as a starter, but Jaren Jackson Jr. will be gunning for his minutes and should overtake him in the rotation at some point. Green is only a low-end option in deep leagues.
Oct 15 - 3:38 PM

The Clippers have reportedly traded Wes Johnson to the Pelicans in exchange for Alexis Ajinca.

The Clippers don't have a ton of depth on the wings, but they're fairly loaded up in the frontcourt, so this move doesn't make a ton of sense for Los Angeles. Johnson will provide the Pelicans with a reliable swingman, and there's a chance he could start at the three-spot, which would give him the potential to carve out some low-end value in deep leagues. Ajinca won't be worth owning, though.
Oct 15 - 3:20 PM

It remains unclear if Russell Westbrook (right knee) will be ready to go for Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Warriors.

"Every day he’s done a little bit more, but they want to evaluate after he does workouts to see how he’s feeling," said head coach Billy Donovan after Monday's practice. Considering that there's yet to be any mention of Westbrook getting through full-contact, 5-on-5 work at practice, we don't anticipate him being cleared for the season-opener.
Oct 15 - 2:17 PM

Dwight Howard (back) practiced in full on Monday.

This was the first time Howard has got through a full practice since camp opened up in September, so while he may not be where he needs to be conditioning-wise, it now seems like there's a chance he could be cleared in time for Thursday's regular-season opener vs. Miami. Even if he's not ready by opening night, it looks like he'll be back shortly after that, and once that happens, Ian Mahinmi will lose most of his value.
Oct 15 - 2:09 PM

Gordon Hayward will be limited to 25-30 minutes for the first couple weeks according to coach Brad Stevens.

We knew he'd have some restrictions, but now fantasy owners have a number to work with. You should still start him in season-long leagues, but DFS owners know what to do here. Look for the Celtics to use a committee approach to soak up a few of Hayward's minutes.
Oct 15 - 2:07 PM

Jamal Crawford has agreed to a one-year deal with the Suns.

As reported yesterday, the deal will be for the veteran's minimum. Crawford can still put points up in a hurry at age 38, but his defense has been a disaster in recent years. He has a good shot at minutes, but standard-league owners should look elsewhere.
Oct 15 - 1:44 PM

Hawks coach Lloyd Pierce confirmed that Trae Young will be his opening night starter.

It's no real surprise as Jeremy Lin clearly wasn't himself yet. Barring a surprise, this should be Young's job for the duration of the season. He'll be a great source of points, dimes and triples late in drafts, but beware of his FG% and turnovers.
Oct 15 - 1:31 PM

Myles Turner said he's all good after tweaking his left ankle on Monday.

He picked up an ankle injury a couple days ago, went through most of Monday's practice and tweaked it at the end. He was seen sitting down in a chair with his ankle taped at the end of practice, but we will take his word for it that it's not serious. Domantas Sabonis would see a significant bump in value if Turner's ankle forces him to miss any time.
Oct 15 - 1:11 PM

Devin Booker (hand) has been cleared for full-contact, 5-on-5 work.

"He looked good," Suns coach Igor Kokoskov said after Saturday’s practice. "As we all know, on any level that you play, when you’re recovering from something, an injury, there’s some kind of hesitation when it comes to the contact, but I don’t see that in Book." Booker's initial timetable would have had him missing the first 2-3 games of the season, but with how much progress he's made, it seems there's a reasonable chance he'll be out there on opening night.
