Malik Monk has been sent down for a G-League stint.

He's a negligible part of the rotation in Charlotte, so he'll get some much-needed experience in the G-League. He's not worth owning in most leagues.

Will Barton (personal) was excused from Thursday's shootaround.

It's unclear what he's dealing with, but it's a home game for Denver with a 9:00 pm ET tip-off, so he has plenty of time to get back to the arena. Owners will want to check back closer to tip-off for a firm update on his status.
Jan 17 - 1:10 PM

Wendell Carter Jr. (thumb) has been upgraded to doubtful for Thursday's game against the Nuggets.

Word is that if Carter Jr. gets through Thursday's shootaround pain-free, he may be able to play, but the more likely course of action will the Bulls playing it safe with their lottery pick. Still, it's an excellent sign that WCJ hasn't been outright ruled out tonight, and even if he sits tonight, it doesn't sound like he'll be out too long. Stay tuned.
Jan 17 - 12:49 PM

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Tyson Chandler will stick with the first unit for Thursday's game against the Thunder.

The Lakers snapped a two-game losing streak on Tuesday with KCP and Chandler replacing Josh Hart and JaVale McGee in the starting lineup, so Luke Walton will stick with that same starting group featuring Lonzo Ball, Caldwell-Pope, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Chandler on Thursday. Hart may not see much more than 20 minutes as a reserve and McGee could be confined to playing time in the teens.
Jan 17 - 12:33 PM

Joel Embiid (back) and Wilson Chandler (illness) are questionable to play Thursday against the Pacers.

It's unclear how active Embiid was at shootaround, but he's likely headed for a game-time call here. If both Embiid and Chandler are forced to the sidelines, Mike Muscala would be in line for big minutes as a starter, while Ben Simmons and Jimmy Butler would see an uptick in usage. Check back for another update closer to tip-off.
Jan 17 - 12:26 PM

OG Anunoby (personal) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Suns.

This will be OG's second consecutive game on the sidelines due to the personal issue, and with Kawhi Leonard (rest) taking the night off, Norman Powell could be in line for some major minutes. The Raptors play again on Saturday against the Grizzlies, and for now, we'll be considering Anunoby questionable for that one.
Jan 17 - 11:11 AM

Mitchell Robinson (groin) will be available to play on Thursday against the Wizards.

Robinson got in a full practice on Wednesday and looked fine at shootaround, so he'll be making it back to the court today following a month-long layoff. David Fizdale said that he'll ease him back into things with 4-5 minute spurts, so we wouldn't expect much from him today, but he is someone to consider grabbing in deep leagues for his shot blocking upside. Luke Kornet's minutes will take a hit with Robinson back in the rotation.
Jan 17 - 11:07 AM

Kyle Lowry (rest) and Kawhi Leonard (rest) will not suit up for Thursday's game against the Suns.

It's the second night of a back-to-back set, so the vets will be taking the night off against the 11-34 Suns. Fred VanVleet should shift back into the starting unit with Lowry unavailable, and Delon Wright will see an uptick in minutes. Norman Powell could be looking at a start with Leonard on the sidelines, and all these guys are on the radar in DFS with a favorable and uptempo matchup against Phoenix.
Jan 17 - 10:32 AM

Stephen Curry went berserk in the third quarter during a 147-140 win over the Pelicans on Wednesday, finishing with 41 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and nine 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

He hit seven treys in the third quarter in a comeback victory, and it was his NBA-best 23rd quarter with at least 20 points over the last five years. The Warriors and Pelicans set an NBA record for 3-pointers made, and the Warriors are the first team to score at least 140 in consecutive games since Phoenix in 2009. Curry is off to a ridiculous start in 2019, averaging 34.1 points, 5.3 boards, 6.0 dimes, 0.7 steals, 0.3 blocks and an absurd 7.3 treys over those seven. Steph is playing his best ball of the season and the Dubs get DeMarcus Cousins on Friday night.
Jan 17 - 2:09 AM

Kevin Durant pulled down a season-high 15 boards against the Pelicans on Wednesday, adding 30 points with four assists, two steals, one block and five 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

It's his 16th 30-point game of the season and sixth 30-10 on the year. Durant has also made five-plus treys in back-to-back games for the first time this season, and his blocks are back on the rise with at least one in every game in 2019. It'll be interesting to see how KD's usage is affected with DeMarcus Cousins in the mix, but KD is doing enough in other areas to soften the potential blow of Boogie's return. He is a top-five player in fantasy leagues.
Jan 17 - 2:00 AM

Draymond Green handed out a season-high 14 assists against the Pelicans on Wednesday, adding 17 points, six rebounds, one block, one steal, one turnover and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

His four 3-pointers are also a season-high in one of Dray's best games of the year. Taking care of the ball has been huge for Green over his last five with 51 dimes to just six turnovers, averaging 5.8 points, 7.2 boards, 10.2 dimes, 1.0 blocks, 0.6 steals and 1.0 treys. He won't be scoring much, but he's back to filling up box scores. He likely won't be affected too much by Boogie Cousins returning, and Dray himself tweeted out that Cousins was set to return on Friday.
Jan 17 - 1:54 AM

Anthony Davis did a little of everything against the Warriors during a 147-140 loss on Wednesday, scoring 30 points with 18 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 41 minutes.

He looked to take a shot below the belt from Stephen Curry in the final minutes. Davis did check out for a couple minutes in real time, but he was able to check back in during this close loss -- no locker room trip, too. Davis' Pelicans dropped 140 points in a loss to become the first team to hit 140 in a regulation loss since 1992. The Pels had been playing better coming into this one and probably should have won this one, so maybe they can get hot in the second half of the season like last year. AD is fantasy's best player.
