Damian Jones has been recalled from the G-League.

He might be able to earn some limited run on Monday with Draymond Green (shoulder) unavailable, but he won't be getting enough minutes to matter in most formats.

Updating a previous report, Russell Westbrook (knee) will play Sunday against the Kings and will not have a minutes limit.

Oct 21 - 5:23 PM

Larry Nance (ankle) will play on Sunday against the Hawks.

Nance will be coming off the bench in his regular-season debut, and will have a minutes limit today, so he's not a very attractive target in daily leagues. However, he could turn in a nice season once he's fully up to speed, so he's on the radar as a speculative add in deep leagues. His return to the court will hurt Tristan Thompson's value.
Oct 21 - 4:34 PM

Russell Westbrook (right knee) is being listed as "out" for Sunday's matchup with the Kings.

Westbrook was recently cleared for full-contact work, so while it looks like he'll be spending his third consecutive game on the sidelines today, he does appear to be inching his way closer to a return. The Thunder don't play again until Thursday, so there's a chance we could see Russ make his season debut next week. His return will crush Dennis Schroder's value.
Oct 21 - 4:31 PM

Luke Walton said that Lonzo Ball "looked great" at Sunday's practice and implied that Ball may no longer have a minutes limit moving forward.

Ball saw just 19 minutes off the bench in his regular-season debut, but his minutes jumped to the mid-20s on Saturday and he could see that number trend to the 30s over the next week, particularly with Rajon Rondo likely looking at a multi-game suspension for his participation in Saturday night's altercation with Chris Paul. Walton still needs to consult with the medical staff regarding the minutes limit, but Ball is trending up and could retain a starting spot even upon Rondo's return.
Oct 21 - 3:50 PM

Domantas Sabonis (knee) and T.J. Leaf (ankle) are questionable for Monday's matchup with the Timberwolves.

Both Sabonis and Leaf did not play on Saturday, but we'll have a better idea on their status following Monday morning's shootaround. If they're out again, Myles Turner should see an uptick in minutes, as will Kyle O'Quinn. Check back for another update tomorrow morning.
Oct 21 - 3:35 PM

Kevin Knox (sprained left ankle) underwent an MRI on his injured ankle, which confirmed the sprain, and he will be re-evaluated in one week.

Knox will miss at least the Knicks next three games and likely more. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported last night that Knox would miss 2-4 weeks and this doesn't go against that. He's set to miss time, which elevates Noah Vonleh and Allonzo Trier in the rotation. Mitchell Robinson might also see more time.
Oct 21 - 2:43 PM

Larry Nance (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Hawks.

Nance did not appear in either of the first two games for the Cavs and might miss his third straight on Sunday. Sam Dekker, Ante Zizic, and even Kevin Love will see an uptick in minutes if Nance were to miss again. We should know more soon.

Will Barton (right hip) is listed as out in the game notes for Sunday's game against the Warriors.

Barton injured his hip in Saturday's game and we have yet to here of the severity of the injury. Trey Lyles, Juan Hernangomez, Torrey Craig, and maybe Malik Beasley all have a chance to gain time in Barton's absence. Keep those fingers crossed for some good news.
Oct 21 - 1:24 PM

Trae Young (left elbow) was taken off the injury report for Sunday against the Cavs.

He'll be ready to roll and his elbow contusion is to his non-shooting arm. Young has played just two games so far in his career, and he's already picked up how to run an NBA offense. He'll continue to be a high-volume option in fantasy with plenty of points and dimes.
Oct 21 - 12:42 PM

There is a strong expectation among the teams that the NBA will announce any disciplinary action for Saturday's melee on Sunday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Woj says this is because the Rockets are scheduled to play the Clippers on Sunday evening. Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo, and Brandon Ingram will all be suspended, it's just a matter of how much. It's highly unlikely that CP3 will be available Sunday.
Oct 21 - 11:39 AM

JaVale McGee hit 7-of-11 shots and 2-of-3 free throws for 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and five more blocks in 20 minutes of Saturday's loss to the Rockets.

OK then! McGee backed up his opening-night line of 13 points, eight boards and three blocks with tonight's gem, and he's starting to look very real. If you picked up Boban Marjanovic recently, or are in need of a center, it's time to grab McGee. It's a small sample, but the role looks stable and he's jelling well with his teammates. Go get him.
