Timberwolves waive G Melo Trimble.

Trimble couldn't carve out a role for coach Tom Thibodeau during the preseason, and we're unlikely to see him in an NBA rotation this season.

Marc Gasol (back) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

While Gasol put up a quality stat line on Monday, he was clearly impaired by the back issue, and he'll likely be a game-time decision on Wednesday. If he is forced to the sidelines, JaMychal Green would be in line for another start and Ivan Rabb would be more involved in the rotation. Stay tuned.
Jan 22 - 4:39 PM

Andre Drummond (concussion) will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.

Drummond was not present for Tuesday's practice, but he's scheduled to arrive in New Orleans soon, where he'll be re-evaluated. Dwane Casey said that if he passes the concussion protocol, then he'll be cleared for Wednesday's game, which would shift Zaza Pachulia back to the second unit. Owners can expect to get another update following tomorrow's shootaround.
Jan 22 - 4:32 PM

Al Horford (rest) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Cavs.

With Aron Baynes healthy, the Celtics will have more flexibility in dishing out rest days to Horford, but it is a bit annoying with this not even being a back-to-back set. Baynes will likely get the start with Horford unavailable and Robert Williams will be more involved in the rotation. Giving Horford Wednesday off will allow him a full four days to rest up ahead of Saturday's game against the Warriors.
Jan 22 - 3:53 PM

Updating a previous report, Jeff Teague is being listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Suns with left ankle inflammation.

This is the same ankle issue that forced Teague to the sidelines for nearly three weeks from December-January, and with him also dealing with an illness, it seems unlikely that he'll be suiting up for a game against the worst team out West. If he does hit the sidelines, that would leave Derrick Rose and Jerryd Bayless as the only healthy point guards on the roster, and Rose would make for an attractive DFS target. Stay tuned.
Jan 22 - 2:55 PM

Juancho Hernangomez (abdominal strain) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.

Hernangomez missed Saturday's game due to the abdominal strain, and it's looking like Wednesday could mark his second consecutive game on the sidelines. We'll have a better idea on his status following tomorrow's shootaround, but with Will Barton and Gary Harris healthy, Hernangomez has lost his fantasy appeal in most settings.
Jan 22 - 2:45 PM

Moe Harkless (left knee) is not being listed on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Thunder.

Harkless has missed the second game of the past three back-to-back sets, but it's looking like he'll be cleared to play tonight, which is an important step for him. Harkless hasn't been great this season, but he's done enough with the defensive stats to warrant some ownership in deep leagues.
Jan 22 - 2:36 PM

Joel Embiid (back) is not being listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.

Embiid played through the back issue over the past three games and looked fine, so owners can feel confident that he'll be out there on Wednesday. We'll get official confirmation on his status following tomorrow's shootaround.
Jan 22 - 2:28 PM

Will Barton and Gary Harris will remain on a sub-20 minutes limit for Wednesday's game in Utah.

Neither of these guys can be considered viable DFS targets while operating on a minutes limit, but they're safe to fire up in season-long settings. Malone said that once their minutes cap is expanded to the mid-20s, that they'll be re-inserted into the starting lineup, but for now, they'll remain with the second unit.
Jan 22 - 2:23 PM

Dragan Bender will get another start on Tuesday against the Timberwolves with Deandre Ayton (ankle) unavailable.

Bender put up 12 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a block across 29 minutes as a starter on Sunday, so he'll be someone to think about as a deep league streamer or DFS punt play tonight. Richaun Holmes (foot) is also unlikely to play, so Bender shouldn't have much trouble flirting with 30 minutes.
Jan 22 - 2:12 PM

Jimmy Butler (wrist) and Ben Simmons (illness) are questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Spurs.

Butler missed Monday's game against the Rockets, but he was at the practice facility on Tuesday and went through most of the practice, so he feels a bit closer to probable. Simmons, on the other hand, didn't even show up for Tuesday's practice, so there's certainly a chance he skips Wednesday's game. We'll get another update on both these guys following Wednesday's shootaround.
Jan 22 - 2:05 PM

Kawhi Leonard (rest) is listed as out for Tuesday's game vs. the Kings.

Tuesday will be the third straight game the Raps have sat down Kawhi due to "load management." Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee reported earlier in the day that Leonard would not play Tuesday because it was "the first leg of a back-to-back with a big game against the Pacers tomorrow." It's certainly uncommon for a player to be rested for three straight games, but the Raps clearly want to do whatever it takes to keep Kawhi happy, in hopes he will re-sign with Toronto this summer. Norman Powell and C.J. Miles will again see extra minutes off the bench.
